Kind of crazy how both of JG Quintels animations ended up inspiring so much in regular show with having Mordecai, Benson and Pops designs and characters basically already fleshed out and even pops having the flying car in this short and it being in the show a lot. Love the show so much honestly

Let’s be honest, animators that want to have more creative freedom have a way better chance on Cartoon Network than on other networks. But that does depend on who the ceo is at the time too, however it seems Cartoon Network is still the way to go either way. I think if invader zim was pitched to Cartoon Network instead of nick it would have lasted way longer and probably would have gotten more than one movie.
Johan Vasquez was offered to continue the show, he decided not to. He liked making the comics more because he doesn't like directing with other people. He was offered more episodes than one movie, but decided to do the movie eventually.
I dunno man, I hear a lot of creators are limited by pretty much every cartoon channel. Especially when it comes to LGBT representation, I just watched a few videos about how the creators of shows like The Owl House, The Loud House, and Steven Universe had to fight with the higher ups to have representation, even just for minor background characters. Unfortunately creative freedom is always limited if you’re working for someone else.

The Naive Man from Lolliland is a student short created by J.G. Quintel (creator of Regular Show) in 2005. It was aired as part of the Nicktoons Film Festival in the same year. The Naive Man from Lolliland is a student short created by J.G. Quintel (creator of Regular Show) in 2005. It was aired as part of the Nicktoons Film Festival in the same year. Once Nicktoons became Nicktoons Network later the same year, they continued to air it as part of their "Short Breaks" that they used to transition one show to the next. Quintel really enjoyed the character in this short and decided to make him a permanent character on his show "Regular Show" which premiered 5 years later on Cartoon Network. I just uploaded this 2016.
The film was made in 2005 and this was uploaded in 2016 dumbass
