The Blend function is my favorite. Once they get more controls giving a wider range of character development it will be fantastic!

i've not really used this app , i'[m not sure if there are settings for head size or body proportions, but the heads always seem to be too big, i wonder if thats a coding error or something

dude how to get to this window, ive installed metahuman but it directs me to unreal engine with 2 base characters how do i make create my own?
This looks great as a starting point. Things needed are more flexibility in sculpting a face. It's limited by the program restraints. Also a big thing that stands out as a problem as can be seen in the video. The head is too large for the body size. Also on tall and larger body sizes it can end up too small. It needs a size adjustment built in.
Ideally and maybe one day we will see this developed, would be a system that we can sculpt or even change face types through photographs, where mocap could be built in and recorded via a webcam and an export option to fbx or similar format for the completed animation. This would make it an incredibly powerful system that could be used with multiple software.
Let's hope one day. 😉
Metahuman is a great starting point though, and very impressive.
I wonder if once its released there will be a community of content creators...or if its just going to be what the devs and quixel are doing...

Hi ....... How you find the Quixel bridge option ? What button you push .....I cant find
looks awesome BUT the main question is how to use it in a project.. It would be nice to show us how to export, animate and use this in practice even in UE or in Blender (if possible) and how to apply mocap (if any compatible) etc.

Wow, the head size to body ratio and body proportions of the preset you’re demoing with look like unrealistic human proportions.
Yes the head on that character looks absolutely enormous. Almost cartoon-like proportions.
The faces look pretty good, but then the illusion of reality is ruined once you put the head onto one of their bodies.
Is there any indication if this can produce decent looking lower poly characters? I have a technical limit of 8192 vertices for my characters but I'm wondering if this can still produce decent looking characters that fit within this constraint.
Does my laptop need to be powerful to work fluently with the UI?

I'm pretty sure you can import it into blender to make adjustments, but the end product can only be used in unreal engine licence wise.

@@7_of_1 lol you get one hour and have to request again. Haven't done it yet but that is my guess. "Each time you access the tool, you’ll be granted a one-hour session; after your session ends, you can request a new one, although there may be a little wait to ensure that we can accommodate everyone. All your work is retained so that you can pick up where you left off when you return."

@@pacificlinedesign19 actually I just finished my hour and if you read the sentences that appear when the hour is up, they say that if you refresh the page you can go back to the creation tool. I refreshed and I was able to create a new character, then I closed the tab, went back to the email I received and clicked on their link and I was there again, working on the character I created after the end of the first session and I had all my previous character there as well. I didn't have to ask again
This looks amazing, but can you get them to talk realistically? For me that has always been a failure for a lot of 3D software.

@@klipnity I think it means the end product can only be used in UE licence wise. You can still modify them in Blender if you use UE to render the final product

Doesn't allow enough range on things like ears and nose.
Seems like now we have only 3 types of body lenght, so you can't cotrol it manually. This is strange because what if I want to create a 167cm tall character, for example :/
yeah its early access and im guessing they facused mainly on the faces since they look beautiful. I'm sure they'll add more customization to the bodies in the future

I have a 3080 and it happens to me too, I think this will be fixed in the future...
It's Cloud-based. I don't even see a draw on my GPU. Internet speed is probably way more of a factor.
