I bought a $700 ancheer e mountain bike, felt cheap and too many flats. Then bought juiced bikes 2300 scorpion x ebike/scooter, good bike, but I still wanted more torque/speed, better suspension and tire/brakes. I've had the sur ron for a couple weeks, almost 300 miles and it's what i should have started out with, worth every penny and exceeded expectations. Idk what your credit is like but I'm using affirm to pay it, 400 a month for the next year. Good luck!

I got a Jaison E-Bike from amazon and i can't lie to you. it's pretty nice. it was around a grand roughly and is responsive and durable. Gotten into two crashes and sheered the handle bars off in one of them. Bike to this day still works like a dream with the only thing needing to be replaced after the second crash is the back brake and handlebar stem and bars. if i had to give it a rating for it being an amazon bike i'd say a solid 8/10
not if you're handy doing some DIY mods. Could use it as is till the thing breaks in some way, then just upgrade it with your own parts. Follow the spec sheet to ensure things fit. Only waste if the frame itself falls apart.
When on a bike 15mph feels very fast when not peddling. That's fast enough to get you around a non hilly area quicker than being on the road depending on the traffic. My bike is diy and it hits 36mph but shakes when I go that fast. I'll order Chinese food 2 miles out and I'll go pick it up and be back in like 18 minutes. It usually takes like 40 minutes when I'm in my car just because of the lights and traffic.
I work at a bike store and a customer has a go trax that they have to bring in almost every week to get a different electrical problem fixed. Don’t buy these
Just warning people with cheap e bikes, soon many bike stores will stop doing any service on ebikes that have drive systems that we don’t have supported on the software side. We won’t even be able to change a flat tire unless youre battery and motor are one we support.
@@monsecko4792 i only saw the eclectric cable plug connected to for example the hind tire and that was easy enough to unplug and replug even as an amateur like me 🙄. Maybe they don't want to deal with an error that COULD occur when they dont even know the drive systems or the motor and so on. I also believe they just don't wanna support other bike brands other than the ones they have a deal with and knowledge and most shops are starting to ONLY do repairs or changes on the bikes you bought at THEIR shops. It's stupid how they won't even help you out with a flat tire anymore 😑
Yes, Amazon is where I also got my ebike. It ran strong for 10 yrs. and I loved it til it would stop dead unexpectedly and I’d switch it off and on and it’d start again and stop… I knew no one would fix it because ebike/bike shops around here won’t work on anything they didn’t sell. Then I bought an Aventon Sinch. My husband bought an Aventon Level2. They go up any hill no sweat and our bike shop is right next to our local trail!
I spent $500 on a Totem ebike. It's a mountain bike, so it looks a lot more normal, it goes 20 mph, it gets 60 miles per full charge, and it only takes 4 hours to get a full charge. It's got quick release wheels so I can transport it by taking the front wheel off and lowering the rear seat of my car. That takes maybe a minute.
