Council needs stop all this booking a slot to tip you rubbish and have open sites half the time people are at work all day and can only clear out weekends and can’t get a slot . Just open the tips for people so they can get rid of their rubbish
Councils MUST go back to just turning up at their waste sites at any time to dump your rubbish there. The booking for a slot is pain in the backside. Here in Hartlepool if you turn up early they tell you to leave and come back at your time slot.
The council’s don’t make it easy to dump waste or get it collected. Years ago, everything used to go into the waste collection and fly tipping was unheard of..

Councils need to collect from properties at a decent price all the stuff they collect gets recycled properly and council makes money in the long run it will put the fly tippers out of work
Yes many people can't get rid of larger items easily. In Germany there are days where you put old sofas .tables . Mattresses out in the evening on the footpath and early next day lorry's drive around picking them up. Councils in the UK could do more to help this situation. But we still have to many pigs littering.
I can remember when it used to be free but now they charge that much it’s no wonder they do it , but some that come to this country for a better life have done it where they have come from so are used to living like that they don’t like it to be clean and tidy then they wonder why they have got rats running round . I use this saying knowing it’s not Britain anymore but KEEP BRITAIN TIDY CLEAR YOUR MESS UP STOP LIVING LIKE WHERE YOU CAME FROM .
I'm 100 % AGAINST fly tipping ... I think it's disgusting ! BUT in all fairness it's councils that serioudly need to be sorting themselves out ... If they've 👇 KEPT cutting back on services over the years ... what can they honestly expect ?! What are people supposed to do ... if they don't have a car - or anyone to help them ? Absolutely EVERYTHING is being constantly cut back on : Grass, shrub/bush cutting/pruning, weeding paths & pavements etc Garden waste collection, rubbish collection, fixing pavements, roads, walls, st lights, gritting, drains RARELY being cleared of leaves, hence all the water overflowing onto roads every winter .. It's everything ! AND this is JUST THE TIP of the iceberg ! This ALL used to be regularly kept up with at one time ! It's not hard to see why people are losing the pride that they USED to have ! Signs of neglect everywhere The population is larger, it stands to reason that very large amounts of money are being collected (accumilated) from us all for these purposes ... yet less & less is now being done with it ! Where is it all going ?! 💢 CAN ANYONE SEE THIS ? PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU DO ... I don't need a thumbs up ! Thanks
The council shouldn’t be charging anyone as we pay already. The council needs to pick up anything lying around. I get it it’s absolutely disgusting that people dump stuff but if the council would do what we pay them then we wouldn’t have this problem🙄

It's been cut back after cut back, year on year, with EVERYTHING 👇 Barely anything is being kept up with ... in order to keep our surroundings in a good state of repair OR looking pleasant ! Is it any wonder that people have been gradually losing pride ! There's nothing around us these days to encourage any pride in our environment ! What is our money being spent on ?!
@@lynnepostings I understand how you feel but if everyone becomes apathetic & disinterested in our beautiful planet then the whole of society would be negative & do nothing. I do voluntary litter picking where i live & it makes me angry at people that litter but at the same time if all of us did a half an hour a day where we live it would give us back some civic pride in our communities. The people who just litter regardless are the people who don’t wipe their bottoms! So what are they sitting 😱
all you hear make the dumps cheaper etc etc .we never had a big problem with flytipping but look around you and you will see what the problem is and where it comes from .
Great idea, sadly wrapping environmental hazards using environmentally unsafe materials is not helping. Targeting hotspots with remote cameras would yield results, prosecutions leading to convictions then fines should reflect the collective annual cost of clearing up after these vandals.
I can’t imagine taking my rubbish and just dumping it literally wherever I feel like it. It just feels wrong…

Maybe if the fines were more and Councils enforced these fines it might deter them

The local councils don’t care, neither does the public. I’d love to see a list of the people who have actually been prosecuted because of fly tipping.
They do care, and use hidden cameras in certain areas to facilitate prosecutions.
