fished those areas dec-may, saw some MONSTER snook, easy 40+ but they were super spooky, just swim up under the trees and disappear. Did have a few magic days when the wind wasnt whooping, which as you know was pretty much every day this winter. I talked to you at the 7/11 gas station at the center early January (13 whaler) . I get a little homesick watching your videos while im back in michigan for the season. keep em coming.

This wind is nuts, blowing SSW at nearly 30 for the last two days and again tomorrow, likely to lay down when I leave after Friday of course. I’ve been smoking the snook on a Chug Bugs during the first 3 hours of the day starting at just before sun-up. That popper calls them out from the trees then they slam it - hard. Got 16 between 18 to 26” on Tuesday. Reds have been very spooky got a few but blanked on them today so no slam. Did pick up a few nice trout off the bars. Fishing the southern end of the pass, did poke around Sanibel but those fish are tight to cover and spooked when I moved in too close. The docks behind your first spot holds some big snook too.
