Interesting fanfiction. I was confused by giving Ash an actual Johto starter but I guess that makes more sense if Silver is the rival instead of Gary.

I think Silver should get the Fearow. Having a fully evolved pokemon THAT early on sets him up to be a challenging rival for Ash to overcome

I would love if Ash caught Fearow because I would want our protagonist earn his new Pokemon's respect and train it. Also I love Flying type Pokemon and I love Fearow. I can see Ash studying Fearow's moves, training it, and using it against Bugsy,Chuck,and Clair when he goes to Kanto he can use it against Misty, Erika,Janine, and Gary.
Also interesting is in the Electric Tale of Pikachu manga, Ash did catch a Fearow where it was one of his main battlers. Also Jessie and James are married in that manga

This was a good what if so Ash in this Universe is born in Johto and is childhood friends with Kris and Is his companion and Silver is his rival and the team rocket Trio is following him instead and Ash choose Cinderquil while Kris is Chikoritta and Silver stole Todadillo and it is Chikoritta who angry the Spearow instead of Ash and as for Who will catch Fearow it will be Ash as he did catch one in the Electric tales of Pikachu Manga.

Going off what we know about them I think
Jesse would fight the Fearow and lose horribly.
The silver would use it as a opportunity and catch the fearow.
Then as the rest of the flock fly away leaving 1 smaller and badly injured spearow behind ash seeing this trys to help it but is attack by the spearow but ash still helps earned it trust and catching it.
This is a pretty good what if pokemon story. I hope to see more of it. Keep up the good work 👍
If silver is here that means no Paul cause some people say that Paul is the anime version of Silver
Actually Totodile could had be a perfect choice for Ash he did want one in the Johto series but Cyndaquil is cool for Ash too. Also I think Kris should catch the Fearow or Silver could catch it. Fearow is perfect for Silver because of his jealous personality.

hmm, well silver could catch the fearow, and Ash could battle it with Cyndaquil and get some early training encouragement similar to when his cyndaquil faced skarmory in the johto canon.

I think Silver will get the Fearow. I could see three having a battle to see who keeps Fearow just like Ash and Misty with Totodile in the original timeline. However Jessie will lose to Ash and Ash will lose to Silver. Creating Ash and Silver’s rivalry.
