Colin's reply to Seth's, "We couldn't pay cuz the registers didn't work."
"Shut-up, the registers work in Ireland for fk sake!!!" was the hardest I laughed out loud in years. Great chemistry.
Brendan Gleeson's laugh sounds like pure joy bubbling out of a beautiful Irish spring on a fine morning.
I beg to differ, if someone’s laugh sounded like that I’d think they have some severe health problem
Now, that is a very poetic and very Irish description, I love it.
Brendan and Colin are true Irish treasures and should be protected at all costs. 💚
The entire interview was more like 3 mates hanging out at the pub. Love it!!
I love how towards the end Seth's own accent slightly shifts towards Irish in some words
"Sit somewhere else" is my favorite quote of 2022
Brendan Gleason and Colin Farrell, two of my favorite actors. Loved the film. And was a joy to see them with you as well.
I could listen to them tell stories all day, they are such chill and nice people, and hilarious
I was lucky enough to spend a couple days acting with Colin a couple months ago, and it was interviews like this that made me comfortable about it. And he is just as delightful in real life. I’d love to act with Brendan Gleeson too, been a fan of his since Braveheart.

@@kaiserwilhelmii6440 How you livin'? Give Grandpa back his white onions!
Can't tell you how much I appreciate it in movies when they actually drink something when the scene calls for characters to be drinking something. Biggest pet peeve.
these two are great embassador for Ireland.. Film looks funny great too . cant believe Seth was in Ireland and didn't try Guinness
Especially when it was free at the Aviva 😂
no, he does really weird sponsored segments for Heineken...
Go see it! It's amazing - funny and sad in equal measures.
Always loved both of these darlings, and love them even more now. Thanks, Seth
Brendan Gleeson is such an amazing actor.
Yes Brendan is definitely always fantastic but Colin’s performance here is really something to behold! As the main character Colin goes from being a not-too-bright but lovable dull guy to someone in the depths of despair to a rage-filled maniac. He was mesmerizing.
Have you seen him in the short film Six Shooter? It’s an extra feature on the In Bruges dvd. Maybe you can also find it on UA-cam.
@@kellydalstok8900 no i haven't, thanks for the recommendation 👍
Seth must've been nervous. Totally fumbled their names. 😂😂😂
In the first part of the interview, you could tell he was pretty star-struck. He'd met Colin before on SNL, but it had been years, and I don't remember if he'd met Gleeson already. But he was trying his hardest not to fan-boy too hard haha!
Colin and Brendan talking about drinking Guinness (faux or not) in a pub is about as gloriously Irish as you can get.
Been in love with Colin since In Bruges.
I'll sit n have a Guinness with these two anytime. It was me gran's fav, every day. 🤍
Funny Seth should say that he could have spent another hour with everybody there
I didn't want it to end
So visually beautiful
Seth's experiences in Dublin just paid back those free drinks at the Aveva with increased US tourist numbers. Great interview guys.
I always think Seth is the most worldly of the hosts (apart from Trevor obviously), maybe because he lived in Amsterdam for a year and knows there is a world outside of the US. Good lad.
I like that they didn't censor "feckin'" on NBC.
I didn’t think Pat Shortt and the other fella from d’Unbelievables would be in a movie likely to win Oscars but here we are 😂
When In Brugge was first released, I was living in PR and was obsessed with the idea of going to Brugge. It’s all I could talk about at work. After more than a year, I finally went in April of 2010, I think. I did what Seth did, started in Paris, took the train to Brugge, that part was really important, and followed Brendan’s trip to the top of the tower. I just had the best trip ever. Stayed at a B&B right around the corner from the entrance to Brugge. When I moved to NYC, I bought a couple of lithographs that reminded me of Brugge and, as it turns out, they are of that exact entrance to Brugge and one looking down the canal to the tower. Painted in the late 1800s by a famous Belgium artist. The view of the canal and tower is the exact opposite view of the canal and tower of a water color that I bought from a local artist. I always but a piece of frame-able art instead of souvenirs I won’t use. Also got a great pair of men’s antique opera glasses at a flea market. Best vacation of my life! I’d follow Colin and Brendan anywhere!
they're lovely - and i love that "feckin" was not bleeped by nbd
Its not a curse word, its a irish word not english. People think it sounds like another f word.

Pat Shortt and John Kenny too!!!! Legends
D'return of D'Unbelievables
Great to see them working together again. ☺️
Kerry was good but Barry stole every scene he was in. A very unique take and so well done. Basically plays what you think is a dumb person but is actually quite smart and alive.
If you find yourself quoting a movie the day after watching, that’s a sure sign of a classic. Farrell and Gleeson manage to top their (excellent) In Bruges performances, Kerry Condon is very impressive, and Barry Keoghan nearly steals the show with his endearingly pathetic, comedic and convincing portrayal of the village “gom” (idiot). Keoghan also manages to have the most quotable line. It’s safe to say The Banshees of Inisherin was the best of 2022.
love these two together
Two of my favorites. In Bruge an all time favorite and I watch for their films. 💙💙💙 I am blessed to know western Ireland. Mom's people from county Mayo. And Dublin oh my! Wish it would be streamed and I may haul my arse to the theatre.☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
Very funny interview with all three of them.
I really liked the film. Brendan and Colin are so good together.
I want to just spend time with them all... Three funny brilliant gents...
"I'd never babysat anyone, or *anything* before then." .🤣
I was scared shitless of the Banshee when I was small.
God, I love my country 🤣 - H'ON IRELAND!
"The Chats" are so important to us Irish!!😀
Fun fact: The mating call of the fox actually sounds like a banshee screaming 😱
During lockdown, an urban fox moved into my neighbourhood and scared the shite out of me a couple of times before I figured what it was.
My mother heard a banshee crying when she was a child. She asked her mother what the noise was and her Mum told her it was a banshee crying for the old man who lived two doors down. Lo and behold the old man died that night. I asked my mother if she could have mistaken it for foxes and she said 'No...like nothing earthly you will ever hear 😬
The 1st time I heard one I thought someone Was torturing a baby
True.. and its a terrifing sound. Its a vixen that makes the screaming sound.
The boys are city folk. Anywhere else in the country side ppl believe in banshees and other fairy folk storys. They come from respectable sane ppl too.
People probably didn’t know what foxes sounded like, so they made up these stories. Maybe they mistook fog patches for ghostly women. In the east of The Netherlands people thought fog patches were “witte wieven” (white women), which were similar to banshees.
CBS bleeped Colin's fecks, NBC didn't 😆
CBS are feckers
Just damn delightful.
Missing the Dublin Accent as I haven’t been home in over 3yrs. Lovely interview and loved the 3 lads chatting away like they were all best friends in a pub!
Love these guys so much.
Loved In Bruges and look forward to seeing the new film, but man, this is a long interview.
Jackals are going to pounce on that "Colin Flare" flub. But friends of Colin know that's just an industry nickname for him.
Thanks! I did wonder...🥴
loved loved this movie. better get an oscar nod
What a story lol?
I think Brendan's a lovely man actually.
I bet he's an amazing person.
Did a month long artist residency at the Burren in west central Ireland, near Galway. A truly beautiful region. No wonder Gleason lives there too.
5:43 best part 😂
Tried the Guinness zero just the same except the buzz and the hangover ❤
This movie is a delight
1:15~I echo those thoughts, but thank the brewmaster. 1:47 ~ Yes it is an amazing thing to be able to do that. Well said and thanks for pointing that out. ~ Loved your mom story, Seth. I think it is a 'teacher' thing. ~ I couldn't get through SNL(I watched the skateboarding ad a couple times though) last week so these interviews bring things a bit more into focus. Skateboarding was/is scary, but impressive.
Ha ha
There were so many bleeps in this interview 😀
And they missed some fecks at NBC 🤣🤣
We don't give a bollix 😂
And adding to Dubliners there is no th sound, only t. Talking the DART to Howth, asking a person on the platform which side goes to Howth. The older gentleman looking puzzled, then suddenly smiling and saying oh Howt... 😊 I love Ireland. Swede in Texas.
Excellent 🤗💚☘️💖
Colin 'Flair'? I swear Seth said Flair instead of Farrell. You can even see him stutter a little after he does it. CORRECTIONS!!!
there is a suspicious lack of cursin' and swearin' in this movie I'm not sure it's really Irish enough. Source: Roddy Doyle
Colin Flauergh
Jesus, that opening scene was brutal. I'll have to gird my loins for this movie. And Seth's pronunciation of 'pub' is weird and unsettling, stoppit Seth!
Already going to make me cry but a different cry from when I watch In Bruges.
@@kylearmstrong21 Colin Farell does vulnerability so well. He's a gift to us.
He's a West Ham fan...probably never been in a pub!
@@ENGABU1 oof! Burrrn
There’s gonna be death and gallows humour, it’s Martin Mcdonaugh after all
Seth needs to day drink with these guys.
I think Colin may be indirectly referring to having a bit of an issue with alcohol, though. (Note his comment about having not had a pint with a friend in a pub in years, until zero-alcohol Guinness.) I think that was a known issue with him, but he's a terrific actor and you can see how happy he is to be working with Brendan and McDonagh and doing what he loves. But day-drinking is probably out.
Yes, yes, yes
@@RVCfilm Colin could just drink Guinness Zero if they did day drinking! I think that was his point, that because he is a recovering alcoholic etc (very widely known so I don't think he was indirectly referring to it, its just so well known he didn't have to state it) that he has been omitted from pub activities for years but now there's Guinness Zero he can go and partake again in drinking activities happily.
Colin flare 🤣🤣🤣 for gods sake first colbert now meyers 🤣
12 pints, a burger and a dog for €6.50.
It was a special day.
Seth, we love you man, but you know we gotta roast you for that Colin Flarl opening. Just poking a bit of fun at ya, great interview as always
It was certainly a brilliant film.
Darkly comedic in places
Did he just call him "Colin Flare?" ...
I was thinking about visiting Ireland but I don't know if I can go anywhere that doesn't have working registers...
What ..: we’re not like back in the times ? This movie was based on 100 years ago
This comment is so horrifically american
@@thehallofvalhalla, you got the point...

Collin FLAIR
- Seth Meyers
I wish the interview was longer. Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell are great.
But I did feel bad for Seth tho when Brendan said that thing about hosts doing the talking because Seth is not like that. He is just an excited fan.
that was awkward 😳
It wasn't a jab at seth it was a jab at taxi drivers in Dublin, they don't shut up
@@eneobande7433 Gleeson is still in character. 😄
@@onlyiforgive5083 That's optimistic.
@@IAmFJ1 are you from Ireland?
I'm gonna tell my children these two are Felix and Gotrek.
Poor Seth. He has a college game in Dublin, Ireland, and his parents and brother went golfing instead of watching him play?
Lol what did seth call Colin in the beginning?
Seth saying "Colin flarrell" 😂😂😂 ffs
I'm just up the road from achill
Literally the same guy from gangs of New York
definitely not a comedy but very intense. I thought it showed the idea of pig headed Irish and the isolation of being in a small community. Great acting directing and photography.
Colm is a demon after Podraics soul. The reason why he lost interest and cut off his left hand fingers was due to his failure to capture Podraic because he was a good soul. Colm felt like a failure so cut off his left fingers. The demons follow the left hand path. The only time Colm gained interest is when Podraic started to change and become angry and resentful.
There is so much more. A very dark satanic film
"Feckin' about"?
Sounds like one slipped by the censors!
How many times do I have to say it my name is Alice copper and you are not worthy
And there's the Colin Farrell cursefest. But I have no problem imaging this lot sittin' about at the pub with pints of Guinness in front of 'em. Zero, of course.
Fantasy? That cold silence.
🤣🤣
I think Seth was trying to allude to Irish folklore and mythology but used the wrong word so his question kinda got lost in translation. There are lots & lots of Irish myths & legends but they would never be referred to as 'fantasy'.
2:31 can someone tell me what he says? The captions just say “speaks foreign language” haha
It's French. He says "Il faut souffrir". One must suffer.
Seth Meyers really ought to visit Ireland to see what life was like at the time. He has no clue.
I think Seth is drunk lol
I know they're speaking English but half the time I don't understand what they're saying
It's their accents. We do speak English in Ireland
Correct we do speak English in Ireland just very much faster than the average American!
I love that they can say feckin on tv but not fucking
0 alcohol.. but I bet it wasn't zero calories.
Pint of zero is 80 calories, pint of plain is 160.
Look at daddy shape ahifting on camera
Colin flair
I want to marry daddy forget about Hayden
I likeMad Eye Moody, but hate his greaseball hair.
Brendan Gleeson looks like the guy who ate Richard Harris.
lol🤣
Thank god I was old enough for “reason,” which for me was an enough to understand that my sex was so undervalued that all we worth for was as incubators! NOTHING
ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love it all, them , the film, the entire lot
You actually interview ppl on this show and do comedy? I thought this show is all political propaganda....oh wait ...it is
I love how because they're both irish, they're using their original accent and I'm guessing a lot of people can't understand everything they are saying, especially farrell.
You mean people in the audience? I'm German, and I understand everything they're saying ...
Thank you for rekindling my desire to go to Ireland 🇮🇪🏆🏆👏🏽👏🏽🌹🌹🌹♥️♥️☘️☘️☘️💐💐💐🔥🔥😎🌸☘️☘️
