The last tiktok from whatsgoodburto is actually in a relationship with another vegan foodie vegan bodega cat. They are both great vegan food influencers who prioritize protein and well rounded nutrition!

1:16 - as a Welsh speaker, I see "saladddd" and automatically think "SalaTH-TH" with the TH-TH indicating "DZH-DZH" (or w/e) -what I describe to others as the "hard-TH, as in 'this' or 'that,' not the soft-th, as in 'with' or 'both.'" 😂
In regard to the closing note, fom my experience being mentally ill has gotten worse since mental illness has been brought to the forefront of the public consciousness. People ironically take it less seriously because it is so common.
Yeah, I kinda agree...After batteling a pretty serious case of 'false nutrition' and 'bad mood' I feel like so many women online say they had it too, when it's just not really true. There's a difference between a struggle and a full on mental/physical illness.
So glad you checked out RP and Dr. Mike Israetel. I put the link under one of your shorts last week. I watched all of his vegan content, it is VERY good. He is not vegan but is very supportive of people who are. I am 12 years vegan and was vegetarian before that since 1971. Sixty-four year old female vegan who lifts weights, does HIIT Zone 4 & 5, martial arts 4-6 times per week. I LOVE Unnatural Vegan! Keep up the great work!
I'd love to see your review of Hannah McKneely's series "Meal Plan for Ultimate Vegan Satisfaction". Some great recipes but others really hit the nutrition mark
Loved this! Thank you! ❤ I don't have the emotional bandwidth to watch a crazy pic'n'mix of vegan wieids but to watch a selection commented on by someone I trust is cathartic! Thanks!
So funny how vegan and plant based call " My full day high protein meal " at the end they count 1g here plus 3g here, oh another 9g. Nice I got 13g but I ate 600 calories. Non sense
I love Shakayla Felice. She makes a tasty chickpea "tuna". She definitely gets her protein in but I don't think she's obsessed with it like some people.
I also really like RP for exercise information, they are an amazing source of no BS. I watched the Video about Veganism, I remember it being great, no BS and pretty much saying Veganism is ethically right. I would love to see a reaction of yours to that video.🙂↕️🌱
Definitely watch Mike's video on veganism. He gets pretty thorough, and generally has mostly good outlooks during the discussion, though there are a few times where it's like, "Well, considering he nor his audience are vegan themselves, I'm pleasantly surprised". The video is 3 years old at this point, so I'd be curious to know his current stance now, especially since he is likely came off his crazy stack from body building which was making him have trouble with his mental health.
To the tidbit at the end. It's obvious being obese is bad for you, the problem in getting this message accepted is that 1) Many people tie their self worth and esteem to appearance, unlike other vices that destroy your health, being obese comes with the most obvious signs, there's heroin chic, there's not really obesity chic. Even smoking is still shown as cool till this day in film. The reason this is important to realize is there's a psychological block here in accepting this information, particularly for women. The question therefore shouldn't be how do we get people to lose weight, or accept that obesity is unhealthy, and instead how do we get people to understand that outside of their own personal psychology, being obese is something they should work on. This is much harder as how do you get someone to see past the psyche blocks in place that make them unreceptive to the information? 2) Corporations don't make it any easier as they have a vested interest in obesity, every small business owner to big billion dollar corporation relating to food invests in marketing and advertising to make overconsumption of food highly attractive. We can't realistically fight obesity without reigning in this influence in some capacity. How do we do that? Under our current system it's not so clear. 3) Obesity is also just plain hard to fight. Overconsumption of food is obviously very pleasurable, accessible, convenient, and socially acceptable. It's not realistic to expect people to overcome this on their own, at least not most. This being said without even examining IQ, impulse control, and environmental factors like poverty where health is one's least concern unfortunately. Of course a philosophy would be created in response to all these factors to convince people that yes, being obese is beautiful and not something to worry about as this is easier to accept than the daunting task of tackling all the factors aforementioned. In an ideal world we'd have socialized measures in place to make active recreation, gyms, dietary guidance, affordable food etc in reach to all people. However this would threaten billions of dollars worth of revenue so is highly unlikely. Unfortunately this philosophy of downplaying obesity and correlating it's concern to "disordered eating," until we find solutions to these problems.
Just seen a article about how bad for us ground flaxseed is. Do you know anything about it?

8:49 - what's with calling that kind of thing a "smoothie bowl"? It's a fruit salad. Sure, with other stuff besides fruit, but it's a fruit salad. How many times do restaurants of all sorts sell a bowl of meat, cheese, and corn chips on a bed of romaine a "salad"? It's a fruit salad with peanuts, yoghurt, and whatever on it. That's what a "smoothie bowl" is.
@yaneznayoui1597 😂 look I'm new here and the amount of infighting and nitpicking (just on this channel! I haven't watched any other vegan creators!) in this community is insane. This seemed like a relatively low stakes comment to snarkily respond to. Bc I was dying to snarkily respond to SOMETHING
Am I the only person who’s frustrated that she’s against elementary schools having mental health days? People like her are the problem why so many people are not in touch with their emotions and why mental health is stigmatized. I think it’s great that we’re raising the next generation to be more aware.

I'm familiar with the last one. I've been subbed to Berto's youtube channel for a while now.

I think they squeeze the food to make it more food porny. Maybe not, but that is the impression I get.

Dr. Mike’s vegan video is kind of weird - I had mixed feelings. One of his conclusions to eat bugs?
But yes, I really respect his exercise knowledge.
I remember one of his older videos where anti honey (which is great ofcource ) but I’m now so confused
Kinda unrelated but his interview on the other Dr Mike channel was unhinged and since then I don't trust him on anything other than exercise advice 😂
2:30 I doubt she cooks this daily
Mayybe meal prep

I believe it's called a "Smoothie bowl" because it's a Smoothie. In a bowl. Hope that helps!
