    I'm going to substitute Asian Pears for this recipe. It's the only fresh fruit I have growing right now. On a side note, the pear tree is 106 years old, planted by my great grandmother.

      wow.. I had a pear tree but I remove dit - fruit was never good. There's a cherry tree there now.

    Nice one Chris! Here’s my question, what can I add to this jam to give it a little spicy kick? Do you recommend hot pepper minus the seeds and ribs or a dash of cayenne pepper

      Id personally go with a ripe Habanero as the fruity heat will compliment this jam

      well you in a deep en like me. I just avoid it as the pineapples themselves can be very sweet

    What a nice recipe to make 🍍 jam. I personally enjoy eating the woody core, it's crunchy, adds a little texture to your bite, and it tastes sweeter (although not as juicy as the petals)

      caribbeanpot Touché my friend! I’d still happily tuck in to a jar but it’s just crazy to see how much sugar is needed. Similar to the amount of oil needed for homemade mayo I suppose.
