You have no idea guy how I feel when I saw you eating snails. I live in Washington far away and I have the tears in the eye when I saw snails. And I sure you you know how healthy is that soup made made with over 16 healthy herbs perfect especially on winter time .

It contains lots of spices and herbs and to mention few there are thyme, dried pomegranate peels, bay leaf, licorice, dry chili pepper and rosemary and nutmeg. The Most dominant flavoring herb, as it tastes, is nutmeg. And for the record , Escargot soup is believed to be "natural viagra' for Moroccan Men but that is one of urban legends lol.

The escargot soup where it's cooked is full of spices and herbs. It differs from a vendor to another. It's good in cold days as it accelerates the blood circulation. The Moroccan Vodka 😆😆. 🕊️✌🏻❤️

I am a retired executive chef cook & pure Moroccan stock
The spices diffère from one province to another
      Ps: dry skins of pomegranate
      Is not recommended
My mother used to use a permanent tinted black colour for any wool mostly to renew piece of out tente ⛺️
Us as children you used the powder of the dry pomegranate to do magic turning water to coffee & tea to coffee got why it get to forbidden in any food

@@gavinsteiner3759 yes i know better than the snails 🐌 Bourguignonne or gratinée
It was worming for the guy who dry pomegranate dry skins
Ps: imagine that pomegranate tint for wool.
      I though about the children
But maybe the rosemary can give that black stock
I used to teach alimentation et équilibration of menus before I want to the kitchen
B cause my target was to be a great chef and discover all kind of kitchen like British cooking German Austrian Spanish beside French cooking
I love création as chef saucier
I was & still teach the right things no kinks

EL Jadida was fortified by the Portugese in the 16th century. It was then called Mazagan and the name El Jedida means 'new city' which came about in the 19th century by the Moroccans. A very important port strategically. One of our favourite places in Morocco. I guess it has changed a bit from our time there. Try and visit the historic cistern, under the citadel. Part of UNESCO. It is stuning. Cath was home schooling the boys (before cell phones and computors) and when we returned to UK the youngest then 5 was asked to talk to his class about Morocco starting with drawing a map of Africa and pointing out where Morocco is. A little village school in Wales that showed us so much support for taking the boys travellng in a converted ambulance then a converted coach. (Following year) Harder to take kids from school now but some in the UK manage it. The then 8yr old gave a talk on Chefchaouen and ElJadida. Happy times. We think your boys do you proud. Smashing kids and altogether lovely, warm fun family. Happy travels folks! 👌Oh yes the Escargot experience. 👍

Traveling south from Fes, stop in Ifrane ( this city is famously called Moroccan Switzerland) . Now that is winter there, try skiing at Michlifen ski station.

We really enjoy your Morocco videos. My husband is from Fes. We are in California. You all are such a happy family. The only thing is... How do the boys go to school?
