Yeah I didn't want to start ordering stuff online... And you need quite a lot so I ended up using the golden syrup instead of liquid glucose as that was much cheaper! But good to know all the different alternatives! And what a great idea about the cheese grater! Wish I had thought of that one!
Haha thank you! I think most recipes that are based on those of other countries are slightly messed up in GBBO technicals. Even the garibaldi biscuits which are biscuits - why was there chocolate on it?
I love this series as we get to see new techniques as well as the enjoyment you and your friend bring. The cookbook looks interesting.
