I absolutely love this product! It has made my life so much easier.
Beautiful product. I am a florist that does lasering and sublimination in my sympathy business. I now have a new product to play around with.
Very pleased with what I turned out. And yes remove both sides of the plastic!
And I also am having a problem with back side. A masking would be much better!
I need to Try this!!!
I have an acrylic sheet that is the same on both sides. There is film on both sides to peel off. Trying to sublimate Graduation pictures on it. It is an Optix brand acrylic sheet and is .093 thickness.
Ive just finished making 100 keychains with this product. Whe film on the clear side is a nightmare to remove, a masking tape woulve been better and more eco friendly. Besides that really happy with the results
This is great as now I dont have to go through the trouble of spraying clear acrylic with white paint after sublimating! Hmm so on that updated link while viewing on my smartphones screen I only see you have 12x24. Do you not provide smaller dimensions for hobby machines or did I not see another size option?
We only sell this sheet stock in the 12x24 size. Sorry!
@@JDSINDUSTRIES yes I talked to a rep on the phone about it. Well hope its popular enough for you to think about the broad customer base that has hobby laser machines with smaller sized beds instead of just pro machines. The rep said you could cut it smaller for a charge
Very cool...where can I get this type of acryl???
You can find this acrylic sheet stock here: bit.ly/3JRNAnW
Thank you!
What settings would you use for Trotec Speedy 300 80watt?
100 power, .65 speed, and 1000hz!
@jds can you post a link to the product you were using?
The acrylic sheet stock we used can be found here: bit.ly/3JRNAnW
Thank you!
Are we supposed to remove BOTH sides of the plastic film before pressing? I removed both sides and still don't have a nice look. The colors seem pretty spot on but it just has a matte look, it's hard to explain. I followed the steps accordingly. Heavy pressure caused the material to flatten out slightly and lose its shape. Not sure what to do.
Yes. The film should be removed before sublimating. It might be easier to troubleshoot with our sublimation specialists over the phone. You can reach them at 855.782.4657. Hope we can get this figured out!
Saw the video when I went on the webpage. Under that product # you gave above (SAC1224) it says under the details it is not laserable. So is that the right #?
That is correct! This product is not laser engraveable. This item is able to be cut with a laser, however. Which you will see that spec 3 listings below the "laserable" sepcification. Hope this helps clear up some confusion!
if you put an LED light at the back of the finished sublimated acrylic, would it glow like an LED signage and light would pass through?
They are transparent and will show light through the piece!
Looks promising. The details page says that it's extruded acrylic. Is this accurate? Extruded acrylic smells very bad and the odor lingers on the acrylic for a long time. My laser is in my home. This might be a deal breaker for me.
It is extruded acrylic!
How do I know if my Acrylic sheet can sublimate (I brought them ages ago ) and if they do is there any coating that I can use to make them sublimate
Unfortunately, the only way you would know for sure is knowing the name of the product. There is a coating called Subli Glaze that might work for you! Hope this helps!
Great! is there another link for the "sublimatable acrylic sheet stock" the link takes you to acrylic that is not sublimatable? Thanks
I'm sorry! You are absolutely right. This should be the correct link: bit.ly/3JRNAnW
I did not know that you leave the plastic on when Lasering.
@@dalethomas8444 yeah every other company that sells acrylic and demos laser vector cutting says to take off their coated protection sheet. I would want to test that as it might leave a burn residue along the edges of the acrylic. I know you cant use alcohol on acrylic for cleaning as it produces micro cracks. not sure how to get off the burn residue
JDS Industries I am not able to order from your website! 😢

What would the settings be for the glowforge ?
We do not have a glowforge in-house to test and give exact settings. We do have a Facebook group with users that do have glowforges! You may be able to find some information there! facebook.com/groups/jdslaser
what laser cutter did you use? Does JDS offer this cutter?
We used a Trotec Speedy 360 80W laser to cut this acrylic!
We do not sell the laser.
Hi! highly interested.. how can I buy one and whats the cost?

What are the settings for Diode lasers
Unfortunately, we do not have a diode laser on hand to test and provide those settings!
After sublimate clear cast acrylic, even cleaning with water and soap the acrylic isn't clear as before. Some part is frosty and hazed, is it normal??
This doesn't sound right. If you give our sublimation team a call at 855.782.4657, they will walk you through sending them a picture to diagnose this issue!
Can I sublimate and then cut?
You could. But you would run the risk of burns from your laser as you would take that protective plastic off to sublimate. Hope this helps! Our fabrication team would be happy to walk you through any questions that might come up. 855.537.2228.
Would be helpful to know the part number.
There is a link directly to the product and part number listed in the video description for your convenience! Part number SAC1224.
ordinary acrylic or sublumation ready??
This acrylic has a sublimation coating!
Any offset for cutting?
No offset!
Why is mine not coming out shiny? I am using the right side and I am taking off the film..
Give our sublimation specialists a call! They'll ask some more questions about the results you are getting and walk you through some troubleshooting steps. 855.782.4657
How are people using these?
We've been hearing people use these for a large variety of things. Graduation display pieces, coasters, ornaments, informational signage and more!
Could you do this with a photo?
You could create anything that can be printed on your sublimation printer!
