- It's new boat day! We took a trip north to Idaho Falls, Idaho to pick up our new boat. The new Hyde drift boat has sea deck which will be amazingly comfortable when spending ours standing and casting. Alec walks us through some of the many features added to make it work for us as we fish and film. We can't thank Hyde Drift Boats enough for the awesome custom build that will surely log many hours on the water this year.

Man that's a good looking boat! I ordered a Brand new Hyde last summer and I was so excited to get it and then when I got it I couldn't have been more disappointed! Bubbles in the Paint, Trailer fenders bent, Used spare tire, no safety chains on the trailer, and now the inside is delaminating. Sent Pictures to hyde and they just said sorry nothing we can do. Never giving them a Cent again.

After owning my Hyde HSA (high side Aluminum) since 06, I think I want to upgrade to the Hyde Power Drifter. Going up river just makes sense.

Everything looks amazing except the seat boxes. Those should be Yeti coolers.
Had yeti on the last one and they were too bulky.

I didn’t hear it mentioned if they paid full price or was this like a paid ad. I have a Hyde. I like it. I don’t care for the side pull anchor system but I believe they offer both styles so it appears u all just chose the side. If they offer both, I’d recommend to anyone that will buy to get the through the legs but perhaps others have different opinion
Step on the floor mount too much. I prefer the side.
Ever want to go fishing in the late Fall or winter and have the floor mounted system freeze up? You'll want a side-mount system from then on. And no, the water temperature won't thaw that right out, either. If you are JUST a fair-weather fisherman, floor mount is O.K.
Curious, how much weight is added with the boxes and sea deck?
Where do you mount the downriggers? How big is the livewell? Does it come in sparkly red white and blue?

Every Hyde I’ve been on with those pole leg locks pinches my line as they get wobbly. Unfixable. I’m think they look like they may be screw in and an easier fix now from the vid. I’d never buy one til they fix that. Get front and rear leg locks that are fiberglass and not screw in until Hyde can show that style lasts. These boats of any brand aren’t cheap ( and there’s no motor) it’s not too much to complain about something we all overpay for that supply barely works when new and sucks when used
If they wobble, half a turn and they’re tight. This is my third boat like this. Never been an issue.
@@FlyFishFood the older models. Even been in to see Lamont. Wish he would have just said it was a problem and they fixed it. Possibly would be bought another but instead he acted like it wasn’t an issue. Obviously it was or they’d still make em the same. Not only did the old ones ( not that old) feel janky but they’d pinch and cut your line non stop. Too many catch points
@@donotrobme9295 my posts very much screw in and out. Not sure what the issue is. Also, a Hyde has many fewer catch points than some of the higher end boats I’ve been in.
All good you don’t prefer a Hyde. I do.
