In this video Charles will show us what to look for when approaching rapids, etiquette, different oar strokes for different situations and many other tips to be a better oarsman. Fly Fish Food - Спорт
Charley is the guy who taught me how to row many years ago. His advice in this video is gold. He is thee guide on the green. An amazing guide, fisherman and man!!!!
I think I’ve watched every drift boat rowing video on UA-cam and this is probably the best there is.
THANK YOU!
My first real fly fishing experience was with Charlie on the Green about 20 years ago. A lot of what i know now about fly fishing is because of that trip. been with him a couple of times since. everytime is epic!!
Man that’s some beautiful water. I miss the Rockies so bad. Flat land Indiana sucks😢.
Charlie is pure gold! If you are every lucky enough to spend a day on the water with him, you will have an EPIC day. He is not only a great rower and an incredible fishing guide, he is a fantastic dude!
A true professional and soft spoken expert for sure. I don't own or fish out of a drift boat but sent this link to my friends that do. Lots of good tips for them to digest. I felt like I was in the boat with him. Thanks Charley!
What a good idea for a video.
Everyone wants to fish there, but now people with their own boat have a video of what to expect when on the water.
I learned a lot from this.
I’ve floated the green quite a bit over the years and have always been on the oars so it was great to see the river from the rowers perspective without the oars in your hands and watching the lines . Used to stay at the cabins behind Dennis’s shop , what a great guy still being missed seven years later. Thanks for sharing
Spinner Fall, excellent guide service.
What would be really cool is a video explaining regional boat ramp etiquette, launching procedures and best practices, as well as somewhat river specific boating best practices so that you can survive a day on certain waters without getting slayed by the local guides. It seems like anchoring anywhere on the Henry’s fork is the norm, but if you drop hook in the middle of the green, you’ll get roped, dragged out of your boat and pulled backwards over suicide rock by your toes.
Ive been trying to get a guide trip booked with Charlie for 3 years now and that guy is booked up solid. Talk about the fish whisperer of the green, the man is a legend.
One of the best ever to do it.
Finally got to visit the store in Utah today. The store was awesome and super helpful. Absolutely worth the visit! Thanks for all the great videos!
Hey, I’ve recently started my own fly tying channel and have been researching for a new camera. Currently I’m just using my iPhone camera, but the high quality videos you guys produce have caught my eye. I was wondering which camera you use to record fly tying. If you could let me know that would be great! 👍
Charlie card is the green river goat
Wish I saw this before I went last year. Master class in rowing.
Really good stuff.
Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic video! Also, oar > ore
Oh man, I tried that ramp two bow entrance last week. Must’ve taken a sharper angle because I just about dumped us into the eddy! 😂
Great video. Use it as my ASMR
Fantastic video!!! Thanks FFF and Spinner Fall!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice!
Great video.
So my only question is, how do you get the boat back to your trailer?
👍👍❤️❤️
What were the flows?
2000 cfs
OK easy at flow at 2000. Thanks. Let's see a video at 800cfs.
You know who Charlie is right?
