Sate ikan or 'lokcing' is a light snack originally from southern Thailand. Lokcing (lukchin) means grilled fish balls.
There are a lot of Kelantanese living around Pantai Dalam. That is why Pasar Pagi Kelantan happens and most of the traders came from Kelantan

@newcastleupontyne8682 you mean local Malaysians who are hardworking but somehow those in corridors of powers deemed that they are treated worse than the illegal immigrants ie they paid their taxes, loyal to the country and agama but yet denied of federal development budgets. At the same time Penang was treated to international airport, seaport, 2 bridges, PGU supply of gas, and many more.
Why because successive govts decide it’s better to take in the revenue and minerals (taxes and oil & gas in MTJDA). While key infrastructures are ridiculously slow (international airport >20 years, CSR Hiway >umpteenth years, LPT3 >20 years etc).

I saw another couple youtuber Dan and Anna hiking in Bukit Gasing. There are many different pathways you can take there. They ended up, hiking for 2 hours before having lunch under the flyover where Jimmy and iChang ate earlier.
I can hear Kelantanese dialect spoken throughout this video in the background. This place is really giving Kelantan morning market vibes 😂 but Kelantanese breakfast style is actually nasi berlauk.
Start with kampung market to hilly hike and ended in a luxurious mall… all within one area code 😊.
Next visit try another hike path there that leads to a temple on the mountain not far from where u started the hike. (There is a signboard for the temple)
Love your observation that in Malaysia, couples don't argue over food as there's great variety. Such an interesting video and thank you for bringing us into the Kelantan pasar in KL, up into the hills and then a swanky shopping mall. Looks like you have a new camera taking aerial views too. My old playground, I was student of UM. It's an enigma, a lot of high rise modern apartments /luxury condos around, financial district, modern malls etc but niches of migrant little town with their own distinct cultures.

ichang & Jimmy did the good job 💪💪💪 Bukit Gasing have 2 suspension old bridge & new bridge, this time walked wrong way, maybe next time try again. Finished hiking will takes around 3 hours 🤜🤜

Hahaha you guys ended up in Bangsar South - that's what the area with the cafes are called. Bangsar South is mainly an office area though.

i feel like the walk since 17:00 give me more thrill than any thriller 🤣 nothing more scary than accidentally trespassing someone's property. and when you both found the walking path also made me relieved

omg, got selling satay ikan, nowaday very hard to find. last time every friday selling outside my primary school. so delicious when eat mixed with sweet chilli sauce.😘
another nice video from the 2 of you. brings back great memories of bukit gasing for me. went to high school at La Salle Pj during the 80s which is on the other side of the hill in petaling jaya. every year, we would have a cross country where we run from the school and up bukit gasing and back to the school. back then, there were no apartments, condos, etc. nothing.. the jungle was pristine, very few hikers and mostly unknown. there were nice cool streams and waterfalls that we would take a short swim in in the middle of our run.
28:50 Jiimy next time come Sabah and climb mount kinabalu. Kundasang is the best trust me, cold and we have totally different food from Malaya. it should be your biggest goals in 2024 if you could conquer Mt Kinabalu.

Satay Ikan / Lokching is a very iconic Kelantan snack that are available everywhere throughout Malaysia. You can find Motorist selling Satay Ikan anywhere in Malaysia. But the best one is in Kelantan because some honest seller put a lot of Ikan in the Satay. Some bad seller put a lot of Tepung/Flour only. Same like Keropok Lekor. Satay Ikan is more Kelantan version and Keropok Lekor is Terengganu version.
