@@madjong7174 I never had problems with ganks much in ds3 but this game feels less forgiving, whether it's the moonveil / sorcery meta, lag or just cause it's new idk. Sad you can't invade solo people unless they use taunters tongue
Throw on a small shield with spell parry. It's hilarious- their projectile is so big that the parry is almost garunteed, then *BLAM*, smacks them in the face while they're still in the Weeb animation

Thanks glad you're enjoying the content, yea its normal for greatswords to do a ton of dmg and i honestly have no idea about the lvl cap. You can find the helmet on a corpse located near the Elphael Inner Wall site of grace in the Haligtree area, It is in the room at the top of the ladder directly adjacent to the grace site
Yea its really good for general pve and good against some bosses other bosses its useless against, I usually swap the bolt for the godslayer greatsword for those boss fights

ive heard some people say the gravel stone seal and others the beastial seal personally i havent tested the dmg so i cant say but give the gravel stone seal a try it boosts dragon cult spells so should be better than the golden order seal im using
Broken pvp n broken weapons in pvp broken damage..Dark soul 3 pvp r much much much better than elden ring...in dark souls 3 if you have skills u can kill 3v1 but in elden ring 2v1 or 3v1 r much harder to deal with specialy everyone spamming moonvil weapon are and it deal too much damage..in the end I like this game but in pvp or .3v1 it (0/10).
Hey sokka! When using the glaive or frost lightning incantation you should unlock! Both of those incantations can change direction all the way until the very last second when the attack comes out. This way you can predict a dodge direction and punish them for it!
70 hours in and I'm at the mountaintop, lvl 66....I have no idea how everyone else is at least lvl 90-100 at this point. I would have at least 200 hours in this game by now if it wasnt for work and uni only letting me play on the weekends lol

You can parry moonveil, and dual katanas easily with the buckler. I believe the buckler has lingering parry frames. So if you miss the first hit, then the second hit will be a parry.

yea the moonveil is strong but ive definitely seen better builds, that tree sentinel shield build you mentioned is some of the most op shit ive come up against

I just walk up to people and one shot them and they don't even move. It looks insane because you one shot them. But I could beat those guys with level 3 club so what's the difference

My current build is a Maiden Cosplay. Had to equip a straight sword with bloodhound step (somewhat accurate to the cosplay i guess) and all my faith buffs just to deal with these. Luckily most of them I have met so far seem to be new and/or bad players so once they realize that their moonveil gets constantly dodged, they crumble under the pressure and die. That stupid shield and death ailment exploit are way more annoying though.
Is that what killed my party yesterday? We got invaded in castle sol and this dude rolls around a corner, hits all 3 of us with some kind of mace thing, and dark thorns went through all 3 of us and instantly killed us

You need a specific spell that make you 'burn' the guys certainly look like he was burning himself ? And you use a shotel special weapon witha weapon art that make the weapon burn and deal also aoe statut. Then you roll over your ennemy like 3 time and they die because of this statut. You need some faith or magic that remove malediciton or spell in area something like that to deal with them.

does your build work with the mimic tear ashes summon? like does the mimic use your weapons ability and incantations? because if so that is really overpowerd
Solid build bro, been using it on journey 3 it’s pretty broke. I recommend you switch up your talis though if you still haven’t, I’ve seen comments mention it on your showcase do it. It’s legit and does broke damage. As for pvp for throwing the bolt? I got a little trick to teach you. Turn your character all the way around, and charge it. As soon as he’s ready to chuck it, lock on. Your character will 180 that thing into the mofu without him seeing it coming 😂 he has a few ms to react. Edit: it takes practice so do it on some mobs. I promise you because I’ve done it a million times on invasions they don’t expect it and get obliterated with a max level of both the seal and bolt with good talis.

Can you manual aim with frozen lightning spear? I see you try it a few times, but the first time, you locked onto an enemy in the back ground and the 2nd time, I don't remember but I'm pretty sure you tried.

I do think the moonveil is a bit to good though, I'm just scared they will nerf it to oblivion. And I dont think its as broken as people think it is. I am with the moonveil by now (not pvp) and it works so well, awesome dmg in so little time space, but actually im getting bored (but i dont know which weapon i should go xd)
Most int options are kind of lacking imho I got 60 int and I feel like I would need to have like 40-50 mind to have enough mana to actually spell cast primarily. There's not as many int spells as faith and there's a fair amount that are laughably bad in pvp like the meteors or rain of stars. And allot unique int weapons have clunky weird ashes. Idk I'm keeping my eye out for unique ideas because I'm sick of katanas... wish we got some weapon catalysts like heysel
@@msokka unfortunately I don't think yet. I've got a ÷25 hoslows whip with bloodhound step with (84) bleed proc rate and the fire giants whip +10 on my left. Hits so quick and bleeds so quick. Plus the fire ring from the other whip has serious range. Use the same faith spells as you too.

@@msokka definitely is, I think what makes it hard for pvp is you can't really see the whips when they're swinging so it's hard to get the distance and time if you're on the receiving end of it lol
Moonveil needs far more than 30% damage reduction lmao. 50% and it would STILL be overly viable. It is a roll-catching fast aoe weapon that costs very little. It's range rivals most sorceries, even at 50% it outdamages most sorceries, it's hitbox is massive and it's faster than a straightsword. And 50% damage it STILL does more damage than the average straightsword hit BY A LOT. This weapon has no downside. Literally. It hits harder than a collossal greatsword. Has the range of a sorcery. Costs less than most sorceries. Has the wide AOE of a sorcery. Is faster than a straightsword. You can say 'It can be parried!' No fuck, so can a straightsword. Despite this parrying is not the most op technique in the game, it's unreliable especially against knowledgable opponents. And the fact you instantly die if you fail here, with the fact if you are slightly out of actual blade reach, which given this basically works as a ranged weapon so you have to parry while also approaching, makes it utterly not worth. It's so fast even a thrusting weapon running attack can at best trade hits if they play defensive, given it's damage that is something you always lose. If they do miss, it also has barely any end-lag. This weapon is an atrocity. And as an invader, having to fight two or three at once made me want to uninstall the game. No, seriously though, utterly busted. It needs to be gutted hard, a weapon with this kind of moveset should not be allowed to be meta.
@@dramaexterminatus i 1st thought it needed 0.3 second delivery delay but now you speak of end lag now i think it also needs a 0.5 second of recovery downtime/extra end lag. Giving a bit more time for melee users to punish spammers with a roll attack. The wide sweep is fine but the vertical one should have a 33% range decrease. And to negate the damage wear heavy armor or any armor that negates more magic damage, have abit more health and stamina and boom you should be ready to counter it fully
i think the winged scythe and halo scythe are really strong on a str/fth build for pvp, you could even powerstance them Edit: was playing earlier and tested out powerstanced fth halberd's, its pretty strong and the moveset is so fun definitely give it a try

It may be more wise to fight in an area with water, considering lightning spreads through the water and can catch enemies who dodge.

Lightning spells really are just for show in this game, you get no hyper armour they're easy to dodge and they do meh damage if they ever do hit

I do think the moonveil is a bit to good though, I'm just scared they will nerf it to oblivion. And I dont think its as broken as people think it is. I win more duels right now with my zweihander just hitting crouch light attack than I do with the moonviel...

I am with the moonveil by now (not pvp) and it works so well, awesome dmg in so little time space, but actually im getting bored (but i dont know which weapon i should go xd)
Most int options are kind of lacking imho I got 60 int and I feel like I would need to have like 40-50 mind to have enough mana to actually spell cast primarily. There's not as many int spells as faith and there's a fair amount that are laughably bad in pvp like the meteors or rain of stars. And allot unique int weapons have clunky weird ashes. Idk I'm keeping my eye out for unique ideas because I'm sick of katanas... wish we got some weapon catalysts like heysel

@@msokka unfortunately I don't think yet. I've got a ÷25 hoslows whip with bloodhound step with (84) bleed proc rate and the fire giants whip +10 on my left. Hits so quick and bleeds so quick. Plus the fire ring from the other whip has serious range. Use the same faith spells as you too.
@@nicholasasbury8711 that sounds like a lethal build, came up against someone running a similar set up yesteday 3 times in a row. managed to kill em on the 3rd fight but the first 2 i got 1/2 shot lmao
@@msokka definitely is, I think what makes it hard for pvp is you can't really see the whips when they're swinging so it's hard to get the distance and time if you're on the receiving end of it lol

moonveil, for how fast the animation is, hits a bit too hard IMO. I wouldn't feel that way if it was hard to hit more than one thing with.

Moonveil needs far more than 30% damage reduction lmao.
50% and it would STILL be overly viable.
It is a roll-catching fast aoe weapon that costs very little.
It's range rivals most sorceries, even at 50% it outdamages most sorceries, it's hitbox is massive and it's faster than a straightsword.
And 50% damage it STILL does more damage than the average straightsword hit BY A LOT.
This weapon has no downside.
Literally. It hits harder than a collossal greatsword. Has the range of a sorcery. Costs less than most sorceries. Has the wide AOE of a sorcery. Is faster than a straightsword.
You can say 'It can be parried!'
No fuck, so can a straightsword.
Despite this parrying is not the most op technique in the game, it's unreliable especially against knowledgable opponents.
And the fact you instantly die if you fail here, with the fact if you are slightly out of actual blade reach, which given this basically works as a ranged weapon so you have to parry while also approaching, makes it utterly not worth.
It's so fast even a thrusting weapon running attack can at best trade hits if they play defensive, given it's damage that is something you always lose.
If they do miss, it also has barely any end-lag.
This weapon is an atrocity.
And as an invader, having to fight two or three at once made me want to uninstall the game.
No, seriously though, utterly busted.
It needs to be gutted hard, a weapon with this kind of moveset should not be allowed to be meta.

@@dramaexterminatus i 1st thought it needed 0.3 second delivery delay but now you speak of end lag now i think it also needs a 0.5 second of recovery downtime/extra end lag. Giving a bit more time for melee users to punish spammers with a roll attack. The wide sweep is fine but the vertical one should have a 33% range decrease. And to negate the damage wear heavy armor or any armor that negates more magic damage, have abit more health and stamina and boom you should be ready to counter it fully

Godslayer greatsword is a great str/fth weapon, i run it on this build sometimes fighting harder bosses

i think the winged scythe and halo scythe are really strong on a str/fth build for pvp, you could even powerstance them
Edit: was playing earlier and tested out powerstanced fth halberd's, its pretty strong and the moveset is so fun definitely give it a try
