I'll recommend using the Rain-X 2 in 1 Glass Cleaner + Rain Repellent after you clean your glass doors. Keeps it scum free for over 6 months.

I just tried this to remove soap scum and hard water stains off my shower doors. It worked well, but I was not able to "scrub gently" like she did. I had to put some major elbow grease into it and had to repeat the process of squeegee + magic eraser on the missed spots (which were a lot after scrubbing gently) + squeegee again several times. It probably took me around an hour to finally get the doors perfectly clean, but it does look like brand new like no one has ever used it! I also used Windex afterwards and wiped with a microfiber cloth. It worked, but I am worn out. I am researching if Rain-X is a good option to use now that my shower doors are totally clean, to save myself from having to do this every month. We have had these new shower doors for about 6 months, and we have Squeegeed after every shower, but we did not always run the fan (going to do that from now on). Our area is known for hard water. The build up on our shower doors after 6 months, even with using a Squeegee, was starting to get pretty noticeable. The stains were the worst at the bottom and went about halfway up. I cant imagine how long it would have taken me and how hard it would have been if my shower doors had years of buildup or if it was from top to bottom.

I use 1/3 dish soap 2/3 vinegar. The dish soap helps keep the vinegar in place. You can wait an hour or more to let the vinegar really do its job.

We just bought a house with a stand up shower and it’s obvious that the previous owners didn’t clean it often. The soap scum is sooooo thick and yucky. We’ve managed to remove some but we can’t get it completely off and it’s driving me insane 😫

I had bad hard water stains , tried almost each and everything vinegar, lime, baking soda ,w 40 , etc etc . Got little help . Spent months on searching right stuff .Tried almost 100 $ stuff .
But finally i went to home depot and brought bar keepers friend ( only liquid works ) 3-4 $ , rhodes american steel wool grade # 0000 for 3 $ ( from amazon or walmart . Method :
apply bar keepers friend on glass , leave for 5-10 min . Then rub with steel wool in circular manner , it wont scratch . Beleive me . Its a magic on years old soap scum.
If you want to use vinegar ,u can use full strength vinegar and dilute with water . But for mine , only bar keepers and steel wool worked .

Makes me not want to have a shower like that. My sister has one similar in one of the guest bedrooms in their new house, and she insists when I visit, to squeegee the shower glass when I’m done, but her husband is always in a hurry to go someplace and their water pressure is the lowest I’ve ever seen. Swear to God, takes me ten minutes to rinse the soap off my wash rag, takes me thirty minutes to shower and wash/condition and rinse my hair AND then I have to squeegee the shower, then get a towel and dry that and the last time I visited, the new rule was I had to squeegee and dry out the floor of the shower because it was found out that the bathrooms, in particular the ones in the front of the house were showing signs of mold. And my brother in law wants to know why it takes me over an hour to get ready to go anywhere. To me, it’s not fun. My sister and brother-in-law’s en-suite master bathroom has very little glass where the en-suite shower in the front bedroom is ALL glass so it takes longer, especially the way my sister and brother-in-law want it done. I was born with the housework hating gene and I KNOW it has to be done, but, I’m just not that ambitious, if I had to work, that means getting up earlier just to get the shower squeegees and dried off and knowing me, I’m just not that ambitious, and want that extra time to sleep before getting up, and if I had to do that when cleaning the bathroom, again, knowing me, it would take me all day to clean the bathroom or after cleaning the shower as shown, I’d say, ok, I’m done, the rest can wait. Like I said, I hate housework, don’t judge, it was how God made me. I wish I was a more ambitious house cleaner, but, I’m not, and have to accept my limitations. God bless you though. I’ll pass on this cleaning technique to my sister when I talk to her next.

I need some money, like $100k to really do my bathrooms justice. Time to go to sleep to get sleep so I can be stud tomorrow and dream of one day having bad ass bathrooms. A beautiful spa/ like shower bathroom. Omg 😢

I have glass shower doors, I hate them, so much work squeegie after each use, give me a break. So much harder than a tub and tile, and just putting up a new inner shower curtin once a year or so. My guess is glass doors were thought up by a man.

I haven't cleaned my tub or shower in years! And they look like new! How often do you clean soap scum from the inside of your dish washer? How about from inside your washing machine? Correct, never. The best way to clean soap scum is never get it in the first place. Chunk all your bath soap and only use liquid soap. The main ingredient in bar soap is Sodium tallowate. Sodium tallowate is a true soap made by combining the fatty tissue (or tallow) of animals, such as cattle and sheep, with lye, typically sodium hydroxide". It's pure white animal fat that holds the soap in a clump. It sticks to the tile or tub and water will not run over it. Sits there and the water evaporates and leaves mineral deposits on the fat. Repeat a few times and you have "soap scum". Liquid soap or "detergent" holds oily skin residue in suspension and it washes everything away when you rinse. Just like your clothes or dish washer. Also an added benefit is that your drains will never clog up!!

Or do what I did. Get a Brillo pad and scrub in circles with hot water rinse and just like that. It’s all gone and it doesn’t scratch your shower doors no need to be a chemist and go through all that mess
