Estrella Mountain Regional Park

This is a desert mountain hike mostly on the Baseline trail at Estrella Mountain Regional Park. Today you will see some of the gorgeous wildflowers and get an overview of the history, animals and amenities of this beautiful location.
This park is located about 30 minutes west of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The Baseline trail is a 2.6-mile loop trail near Goodyear, Arizona. There are more than 20 types of wildflowers and flowering plants that are common to see throughout Arizona, including poppies, brittlebush, chuparosa and marigolds.
So many great amenities are available to visitors, including a grass picnic area, baseball fields, fishing from the Gila River, a golf course, and over 33 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
