The third episode is a good example why watching episodes out of order is a bad thing, Where as the older seasons episodes were more self-contained episodes, While in the later seasons things get more Serialized. It would be nice if you both would consider watching the later seasons in chronological Order, rather than just the most popular episodes in random order...
ok, so he paid 10k for the business and the building and assets. why wouldnt you move into the blockbuster building, sell your home, and live debt free?
Love the homeless apocalypse ep because it's just showing everyone that everyone in office will choose everything and anything but actully fix the problem for homelessness, but also shows that it's also a two way street but we also have to give opportunities that'd help get money but also kinda have an easy way to get it. Again, the show makes fun of the fact that the rich and politicians dehumanize the homeless like they are wild animals or gone feral just in general dehumanizing them and making everything homeless proof making quality of life hard for everyone.
i was baffled. I am 39, haven't seen the movie but got the reference right away. they keep missing KEY JOKES every video. I'd rather have them pause while they comment. they do miss de best jokes. But i guess by know it had been explained to them and must have gotten a real kick out of these jokes...
The way Randy is acting is a reference to the Movie the Shining from 1980. The The ghost that appeared to Randy is also a reference to the Move the Shining. Basically a guy guy and his family are tasked with being caregivers at a hotel during the winter. No one is around and the Father ends up going crazy.
Re Night of the Living Homeless: I will always give someone food, but, unless I know what the money is for, I won't give any. Here in DC, there is an organization where those homeless wanting to get back on their feet sell a newspaper. The paper is printed by the org that aims to give folks an income and address towards employment and a home again. I will always give them $5 or so for the paper, but, others, I won't give money because I don't know what it is for.
I was born in 1989 and I remember going to Blockbuster until 2008 when I moved to a new town that had one video store. I think it was called Movie Gallery. Anywho it went out of business because of the Great Recession in 2008. We went to the Blockbuster every few weeks renting VHS tapes and then eventually renting dvd's. We had Netflix which sent us dvd's in 2009 until I wanna say 2011? Obviously Netflix launched their streaming service and that really changed things. HOWEVER I still collect Blu Rays, DVD's and 4K discs. I'm always afraid that companies are gonna delete stuff to make way for new stuff.
i work at a diner. the first needy person of the day gets something. some days there's more than one and i just have to ask them to go. i've never had a repeat "customer" like that, but I've been here less than a year.
The last Blockbuster, in the world, is in Oregon, and its been the last one since 2018. As of 2020, its the final entity still using the Blockbuster name. The South Park episode aired in 2012, a full 6 years before the entire company came down to a single location
I live in a small town called Atalissa, Iowa and have given money to homeless people in the nearby city of Iowa City It makes me feel good to help those who have had hard times and makes me grateful for what I Do have
The third episode you guys watched, was part of Season 20 which had a whole season long story about Trolls/2016 elections/Men Vs Women. They failed with this story when Trump won in 2016 against Clinton who, like everyone else, they thought would win. So all of a suddenly, they had to rewrite the whole second half of the season basically over night.
only people that live in comfortable bubbles thought hillary would win; I'm from the 3rd world and all of my friends thought it was OBVIOUS trump would win, regardless of whether he was lying or not, his speeches were much more in line with the common person. Did you know that the wall was started by bill clinton? I can show you some mexican rap songs from the 90's talking about it, which is why trump didn't seem particularly "evil", in fact because of his perceived incompetence he seemed like the better choice if you're from latinamerica, asia or africa; and we were right, the internal chaos he caused gave us a 4-year break from imperialism
Last one was Bend Oregon my dads side lives near there I went to that blockbuster as a kid in late 90s saw special it hasn't really changed at all. Not sure if its still open though.
i liked my video store. it was close so if the dvd was too scratched or something i could bring it back without a hassle. wasn't into movies on vhs really, i hated rewinding.
I grew up in the 90's and, in retrospect, I have no idea why people miss Blockbuster. They overcharged, their late fee was insane, the employees weren't any help. It may not be the same, and I understand missing going to certain places, but I'm thankful Blockbuster is dead
The pee [porn thing I seen that in a movie forgot what it was one those like middle aged men comedies. Guy shows up to help his pal and he gets him to take the fall for a porn stash his wife found and turns out it was pee porn. Freaking hillarious or maybe it was a show I can't recall but it was pretty damn funny. Mr Inbetween that was name of the show was aussie show, and he helps his pal says its his stash at their house, because he can't go with out it. And then finds out what is in the box after he fesses up lol
The phones we use to call them obama phones its program still going they get like meh service but unlimited internet and one free phone and you can use any cheap burner phone like its based on tracphone, a cheap burner phone for walmart and what not. But I was broke as hell under obama and had one and got like 50 buck cheap smartphone and back then it had a limitied data plan, but new ones have unlimited but its really crappy data rates. But yeah if your low income you qualfie for one now, argument is you can actually job hunt same with net on cheap smartphone it won't run games worth a crap but will run apps, and let you put in job applications online.
To be honest there are so many people that deserve and need to be trolled these days, the delusional woke crowd for example. I feel Gerald's addiction.
heres something interesting about hateful content on something like twitter, sometimes its just a bot account making hateful content with the purpose is that it drives up engagement on the account, and that account gets paid based on how much attention it receives from people, just a lazy evil way to pollute the platform while making easy money xD

Mario🤘🏾😎and Nicole💚💜 you guy's make great videos
I loved the Blockbuster episode. Reminded me of The Shining. And Randy was Jack. 😂
The first episode was a parody/reference to the (AWESOME) horror movie “the shinning”. The ghost actually has a name: Lloyd.
They should definitely react to that!
What's The Shinning about? Zombies biting people in the shins?
The fact it went over their heads is beyond me. Ultra classic in both novel and movie
Shining is mid and isn't horror
whats so cool is that bicycle playing card decks bought thebold red box machines to sell custom playing card decks
I was born in 91 and I remember blockbuster being still somewhat popping in the early 2000s, and they were paraodying the shining in that episode :)
I still remember when we started renting netlfix movie disc😢😢
oh man, we're old.

this
that's what I was thinking when I saw the W.T.F. episode
the "they took 'er jobs" is so iconic from the "Goobacks" episode
"As ancient as Madonna's boobs."
That line is just funny.
ok, so he paid 10k for the business and the building and assets. why wouldnt you move into the blockbuster building, sell your home, and live debt free?
7:10 surprised they didn't pick up on The Shining reference
Blockbuster was awesome

The last Blockbuster was a franchise in Anchorage. I got about twenty movies for a couple bucks apiece when they finally closed down.
im guessing you havent seen 'The Shining' or you missed the referance
I went to Blockbuster all the time as a kid in the 2000s. If I did chores and yard work my dad would let me rent 2 games......ahhh the good ole days

It makes me feel good to help those who have had hard times and makes me grateful for what I Do have
Randy and the ghosts are a play off for the movie the shining with jack Nicholson. That movie took place in Colorado as well.
just sayin'....

Wtf are you guys even doing? Random episodes weirdly cut up?
We need new reactions to the south park.
