The fact Reddick and Byron are the only two in the final 4 who should be there (from full season points) is a complete joke. We should've gotten rid of all of this mess when Harvick didn't get in in 2020 or Blaney winning last year despite having what i believe is the worst average finish for a champion ever. The only way to actually have a real champion is a full season points format.

An absolute embarrassment. Wallace getting a "flat tire." Chastain and Dillon's radio confirming that they were essentially blocking anyone from passing Byron. Honestly, the least egregious part of that was the "wall ride." He had already passed the 23, hit the wall, but just never turned off. The fact that the 9 and 20 are out because the 22 and 12 won is just gross.
The wall ride part just makes the move by Bell that much dumber though. He didnt have to do it so why even do it and tempt fate for nascar to do something?
The worst thing about all this controversy is that the rest of the race and the battle between the 6, 12, 9, 5, 11, and even the 2 isn’t going to be remembered because Chevy and Toyota decided to pull their respective stunts. Hell Austin Dillon had a solid race today, but all people will talk about is how he was involved in race manipulation. Add on top of that, Elton Sawyer’s comments of “we were only looking at Christopher Bell’s last lap pass and subsequent wall ride(to determine if he did)” not making any sense of why they’d broadcast the 1, 3, and 23’s team communications during the review of the incident. So now not only is the most dominant car on the season in Kyle Larson not in the Championship 4, but now the two most consistent drivers during the playoffs in Alex Bowman(due to the Roval incident and some voodoo from Joey Logano) and Christopher Bell(my pick for the championship) aren’t in the Championship 4. The best way now for the Championship 4 to go would have to be either Reddick(the regular season points leader) winning during the charter lawsuit or Blaney going back to back, but if William Byron or Joey Logano wins the title there will be even more controversy. I was watching another creator’s post race stream and they made a good point, Spingate caused a decline in viewership the next season(2014) with what happened today at Martinsville I can see the same thing happening in 2025.
Agreed ,if I were Elton sawyer I would disqualify both the 24 and the 20 and reinstate the 5. Also I would return to the 10 race chase, top 16 in points.

It’s already bad enough, 21 seasons worth of NASCAR have been altered for the sake of entertainment and now this year, three drivers will forever have their legacies tainted due to NASCAR only caring about entertainment, not sport. Don’t think you can force manufacturers to stop getting out orders, cause for them it’s a business model for their cars out on track, we’re better than this but it’s going take a lot to fix our sport.

P.S. I saw the race live, and it was very exciting. I didn’t have to think about the playoffs too much. Probably helped me enjoy this race.
