  • More info about travel to Český Krumlov: www.ricksteves... The enchanting town of Český Krumlov - buried in the hills of Bohemia, lassoed by its river and dominated by its castle - feels lost in a time warp. Its delightful Old Town of shops and cobbled lanes, characteristic little restaurants, and easy going canoeing options, makes it a favorite with tourists.

    Cesky Krumlov is a must on anyone's bucket list. This place is simply magic and my first thought when I arrived was "I can't believe there's a place on earth like this!" Stay a night or two, and try the best Krumlov Strudel in town (with coffee).

      Even kids should appreciate this place too, not til we wait to "kick the bucket" 😁 but I know what you mean. Such majestic place! You will want to hit the record button everywhere you turn! I was there and really there is no bad spots or angles to capture!!! Can't wait to travel again and create more videos of this place!

    It IS fantastic, GoliathAngelus. If you haven't been there, don't miss it in your next travel to the Czech Republic. Maybe you'll find more visitors than locals, but it's worthwhile exploring. If you don't mind cold weather, late autumn or winter season add to the 'once upon a time' ambience.

    There is a petition to free those bears from these horrible living conditions and put them into a bear sanctuary or let organizations change their environment somit isn’t animal cruelty anymore. Look up the Krumlov bears petition and sign it!

    Update: I did get to go to Cesky Krumlov (yeah I'm using a different screen name now). It was an awesome town and I advise anyone going to the Czech Republic to spend a few days there. It was very touristy but the castle and the views are amazing, plus there are a ton of great restaurants!

    Hello, everybody! Call our country Czechia, like Czechoslovakia, Slovakia, or Austria. Czech Republic is not the only one republic in Europe. Czechia is official country short name. Modern and traditional. Read more: czechia-cesko.webnode.cz/english/

    I get why people come to this town and I'm glad that there is such interest in it. But as someone who was born there and still has relatives there, I can't help but despair when I see how tourism slowly strangles the people who still live there. If it'll continue, it will be dead city: no convenience stores, no population living in its' houses. Just restaurants, hotels, souvenir shops and fuckton of tourists.

    • @Nate-hw8ii

      Best beer? It is good, but it’s very one dimensional. Belgium is the best, followed by Germany.

    • @snuffyballparks6501
      @snuffyballparks6501 День тому

      @@Nate-hw8ii Belgium yeast strains are awful to me. But each to their own. German beer is mostly A+. Since I much prefer Pils & Helles beers, Czch beers are #1 to me.

    on the theater tour in September in Cesky Krumlov, we were told only two of this type of theaters survive, that one in Cesky Krumlov, and the one at Drottningholm Palace outside of Stockholm. I'd like to know where they other two are located. And I totally agree about the Castle View Apartments. We had an amazing view, and loved our 4 days there.
