I’ve visited Krumlov twice now. 30 years ago, the bears didn’t have anything in the moat, it was just bare stone! At least now there’s greenery and a decent attempt to recreate natural habitat.
A wonderful video! I'm looking forward to see this fascinating town, the birthplace of my father, next week! He raised up in Siroká 77. It'll be a very touching moment to see it with my own eyes!
What a beautiful little town this is! I had no idea!😍 It really seems like a perfect option for day trip! ... And it's so great to hear that you keep traveling! I'm excited for your next adventures!
It was a fantastic day trip! A little taste of the Czech Republic outside of the big city. Thank you so much, we really appreciate you following along! 😄👍
This vlog was so well-produced! The sound design and the camera work of Cesky Krumlov were both excellent. I felt like I was watching a professional documentary. I am a fan now, stay in touch.
Stay tuned for our Hallstatt video! We will definitely add those Prague day trips for our list for next time 😁👍 thanks so much for checking out our video!
@@MaxandSidney Daytrip from Prague can be Olomouc too - due to good train connection which takes only 2.5 hours from Prague´s main station in city center. I think driving takes much longer.
@@MaxandSidney There is no train at the moment only, as there are reconstructions on the path ongoing - it should be opened in summer 2025, as the whole section is being rebuilt for the high speed rails...
@@MaxandSidney You have to go to Budweiss by train and then switch to different train, but it's probably easier to use bus from Prague. But on other hand, trains can now go 200 km/h on track to Budějovice and there are high class trains with restaurant car, which is definitely better level of traveling than some bus. 🙂
@@Pidalin the rail can go 200km/h, the trains only 160, and they never do. 168km still takes two hours in express. And then you switch trains, and travel 40km for another hour.
@@Pyrochemik007 So it's as I expected in this country. 😀 BTW, we have buses for few weeks instead of trains again in my village. They always promise that this is the last time, but they are liars. 😀
There is a petition to free those bears from these horrible living conditions and put them into a bear sanctuary or let organizations change their environment somit isn’t animal cruelty anymore. Look the Krumlov bears petition and sign it!
Please don't spread misleading information like that. I'm from Český Krumlov and can assure you that the bears are very well taken care off. The castle at Český Krumlov actually works as a bear sanctuary and the bears living there have been saved after being found at Prague Airportwhile being illegaly smuggled from Russia. Unfortunatelly they wouldnt survive in the wild so keeping them safe at the castle is a good option. The bearkeeper at the castle Mr. Jan Černý is one of the best experts on bearkeeping in Europe. He has made sure, that the bear pit has undergone many transformations in the last decades and now has everything the bears need, including things for their own protection and safety. There's even a czech fairytale/documentary about him raising three orphan baby bears which had been abandoned by their mother. The bears have more living quarters underneath the castle bridge, which you cant see from above. They have so much food that they actually have to hold a diet from time to time (which they really dont like and Willy keeps fighting poor Polly over her food ). All the bears also have their own EU-medical passports, which proof, that they get the best medical care according to the strickt EU policy. If you still think the bears are in bad conditions, PLEASE just visit Český Krumlov and ask at the castle for a tour of the bear pit or for more information. Just remember to ask in advance and try to be plite. There has been so many unreasoned protests against our bear in the past few month that most people don't really have the energy to argue about it. Too many people are jumping to quick conclusions without having enought information. In my opinion, it is important to show the truth, which is that we are taking very good care of our bears :) All the best wishes from Český Krumlov!
Unfortunetaly, bears will be taken out of castle to natural reserves, but good for them, to have better place to live. Otherwise, my U.S. friends call the AB Budweiser the camel piss 😂, and enjoy the real Budweis beer as much as they can, OMG.
A great video of my favourite town! Thanks. I am lucky to live just about 20km from it. You are welcome everybody and if you need a tour guide, just let me know. 🙂
@vlastimilhejduk7347 April 2016, the UN has used the name Czechia as the official English name for the Czech Republic. It is a short name for an unofficial designation. According to your erroneous information, for example, there is no Germany, but only the Federal Republic of Germany, no Austria, but only the Republic of Austria, no Switzerland, but only the Swiss Confederation, no France, but only the French Republic, etc., etc. Don't be stubborn and find out something first, before you write nonsense.
@@jaromirmusil9017UN made more big mistakes than call the the Czech Republic Czechia. None of my friends or colleagues say "Česko", mostly the Czech Republic, or abbreviation ČR. The forest is near why can’t they just release the bears, they might look cuddly and cute but they should be in the woods.
