Guys if I still don't know it, lemme explain.
Here in the question they said (X+8) (x-10). Now use the formulae (X+a) (X+b) = x^2+(a+b)X+ab
=X^2 + [ 8+-10] X + 8x(-10) (8 and -10 are a and b values respectively..)
Now, [8+(-10)] = - 2 and 8x-10 = -80 as you know.
Then,
= x^2-2x-80..
