Anna deep inside I know that JEE is not what I wanted to do. It never really was. It's killed me inside now, taking away all my passions and all. My dad used to say "If you can't do what you love then love what you do". This did not work that well for me as trying to love a whole career path, it's not something easy. Still I tried my best, talking with IITians and everything to get interest in JEE. For a brief moment I was obsessed, if someone asks me now I'd still say I'm obsessed, but deep down I know even developing the obsession for IIT - that the college's fests are good and all... it's forced.
The only thing that keeps me going is that little version of me inside me who says "Prove that I'm not a loser ", whom I've failed a lot until now.
After this video I've realised if I keep getting distracted and procrastinating and giving up on stuff then soon one day even the younger version of me will just give up on me.
So I take pledge today, 9th of July 2024. I won't make a single mistake in working hard. After JEE I should not feel that after July 9th I didn't try my level best even for a day. From today I will crawl if I cannot run but never will stop at the end.
I will reply to this very comment after the great war.

the same thing hits me hard ik some ppl wont believe what i am about to say but a astrologer about 70 years old lives in bandra i went to him to get some clarity about my life and he clearly stated that i shouldnt attempt jee and SERIOUSLY TOLD ME TO DO "GAME DEV" which i have been planning to do since 3rd in i.e 2015 and in 9th i got facinated by jee and entrance exam and thought why waste my 2 years lets challenge myself in to doing something challenging but now i have everything at stake my parents money my passion my emotions everything and i am just getting buried deep inside all of that. Somebody please help me

Hey Tharun, I'm a 24tard and gave JEE this year. So the topper part is not really relatable to me. But yk what hit hard? "You're a weak piece of shit", "You would end up being a loser", "You don't have control over your day". Honestly after my JEE Advanced, I've literally wasted all time my time, majorly scrolling and games. Like its been a fking month and a half and I've still not done anything to upskill myself or not even taken an effort. Like my friends are hitting the gym, working in internships or learning some new skill but here I am sitting and scrolling for hours. This video really hit me hard and made me realise a lot of things.
While I write this comment, I've already unistalled most games on my phone and set a timer for Instagram. And I promise, I am learning a new skill right right from tomorrow. FK TOMORROW, I'M STARTING THE RESEARCH NOW, right as I hit the button "Comment". And I promise I'll start hitting the gym very very soon. Thank you for the eye opener.
