Thank you so much for showing us your ‘do’s’, it can’t have been easy with a smaller mirror! I find after a hot flush I have to put my hair up as my sweaty scalp makes my hair frizzy. Forget humidity outside, I’m a walking humidity horror all on my own!! 😂 Anyway watching this has helped me to put my hair up and look better with it. Thanks Melissa xx
I have a recommendation for your granddaughter's curly hair issues. An excellent product for curly hair is Color Wow Dream coat. You can buy a small bottle for $12.00 at Ulta. It sprays on like water. There is no smell or heaviness just hair magic. It keeps my hair straight In the Dallas heat and humidity. Since she is young two inexpensive hair sprays are Tresemme all day humidity resistance and L'oreal Elnett hairspray. I enjoy your videos. Thanks
I cannot thank you enough for this!! It's just so very helpful. She has really thick hair, curly hair, and she wants to control the frizz more, so I will get some for her. I really appreciate it!!! Love, Melissa
Thank you..hope ur feeling well...anyone here who did not like using tretonoid creme? I tried for a year, saw no improvement and I believe sun is vital for our overall health...it just doesn't seem natural to use chemical sunscreens which are toxic nor to avoid the sun...blessings to all! Good morning beautiful. I always get a trick or two when I watch your hair tutorials. Now, I just need to put my new knowledge to work. Love you, Melissa..MaryEllen
My hair is about your length, so I really loved learning some great new tips. I’ll need to get a curling iron like you have…I always just use a flat iron. And I have to say…your arms look awesome in a sleeveless top! Loved those earrings, too.
Oh thank you for that. I do like that hot brush a lot. I used one back years ago - my mom did too when Dynasty was on. she wore her hair like Linda Evans. lol Thank you so much and have a blessed weekend. xox Melissa
Hi Melissa as I'm Scottish "big hair" isn't such a goal lol, but my updo is just twisted and clipped in place too. I have thick/curly hair and it's very hot whist down in the Summer - I wear it up every day. I also put in pretty hair clips to jazz it up a little. Some days I just clip it up a bit looser and have the curls at the top left to swing around for a different look (commonly referred to as a pineapple on curly hair channels). A messy bun using a scrunchie (I'm so glad they're back in style lol) is another favourite. Updos don't have to be really neat/smooth to look good. I also like a high pony tail leaving my hair to swish about whilst still being off my neck. Sometimes I include small braids at the side with ribbons for a more boho look. Having fun with long hair is the best part of having long hair, as shorter hair is less versatile - at least for me. I rarely use heated tools and just leave my hair naturally curly - it's better for my naturally dry/course textured hair. If I have a bit that's a bit wonky and straighter i will use a wand to make those pieces match in better with the rest of my hair for an evening out/occasion, but mostly I just pincurl them with a little spray for 10 mins and then let them blend in naturally. I have back issues and can't keep my arms up for too long, so my hairstyles have to be quick/easy. I thought all three looks suited you and were pretty. Best wishes.
Hey Melissa.. I loved these styles.. thank you for sharing them with us.. I always love seeing what you do as you are so stylish and Beautiful.. Love you friend xo
I love bigger hair too but my thin short hair makes it hard to get the height, that pretty bump on your crown. I keep trying! Your hair always looks gorgeous. Hugs!

Your hair is always so lovely !! I must admit that you don't seem to need the Nioxin...your hair seems plenty thick and full....wish mine was as nice as yours . Thin, stringy and FLAT is the way mine looks and I am ALL thumbs when it comes to styling...a disaster. Thanks for the tips and once again you look beautiful and very much younger than your age.
aw thanks, Becky. I do think the derma rolling is helping. It's thinner than it used to be (I have decreased my HRT patch) but I have been able to quit the Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. Over the past 6 weeks I had been using something besides the Nioxin treatment and had noticed it was shedding more. So it could be I might need the Nioxin treatment. I am still experimenting. anyway, long post! Sorry. lol Take care! Love, Melissa
@@Melissa55 When you stopped the Nioxin did you notice that your hair began to shed more ? I hesitate to use something like that for fear that if I stop using it my hair will thin out even more .

I really didn't care for it. My hand kept brushing along the temperature dial but the worst part is I got it stuck in my hair and had to cut out a chunk. This just happened yesterday. My hair stylist will see what she can do but I think I'm destined for a short haircut now.

Melissa, your hair is gorgeous! Love it when you wear up-dos! I have to laugh when you mention big hair; you know what we southerners say "the bigger the hair, the closer to God ".
Stay blessed!
You are such a sweet person!!!!! Thank you! Yes, we sure do like the big hair. And are you from Nola? I always think of that being your name, but it probably is for the place? Anyone I always appreciate you so much. Love Melissa
@@Melissa55 Nola is my real name. My Dad's name was Nolan, so I'm named after him. And no I'm not from NOLA, I'm a Texas girl, just south of the Dallas area. I figured I wasn't clever to remember another name, so I just use my real one! lol
Wow, that heated brush does a great job. Very pretty looks. I know you don't think so, but I think you do a great job with your hair.
xo~linda
I found your channel on Swoozie’s channel. I am a 64 year old female who retired last year. I just subscribed 🤗😎-Terri
PS love your accent. We’re from Southern Indiana
I have a curling brush…,it’s 100 years old. Sending hugs prayers and kindness with lots of love ❤️ ps you are so beautiful inside and out!!!
hahahah, I love it!!! I bet it still works, too. Take care and stay safe, Kaye. Lots of love, Melissa
Great video !!! Love the hair styles and all look easy and fast !!! Love the messy bun and yes sometimes the more we fuzz with it the worse it looks !!!! Just twist and clip and go !!! Lol hugs and love ❤️❤️❤️
Hello how are you doing?
I love your top!! You always look so gorgeous. I think your hair looks beautiful.💕💕💕
Your hairstyles are always beautiful and very flattering. Once I grow my hair longer I’ll be able to try curling it like you do. Thank you for the tutorial. Very pretty!!
aw, thanks Dawn. You have just beautiful hair! The color and it always looks so healthy and thick and pretty. I have hair envy!!! Take care and many thanks!
@@Melissa55 Thank you!!!🥰🥰
Hooray!!!! I was so hoping you would make this video!!!
Your face is so pretty you can wear your hair any way you want!! Hugs and Much Love Loretta
I love the way you do your videos ! you are uniquely special to me . A beauty!! hugs
Thanks Melissa! I enjoyed this. I too have long hair and love finding new easy updos!❤️
Thank you! My flat, humidity-ridden Virginia hair thanks you, too!
hahahah, the humidity of the south is something else isn't it? lol Take care and many thanks!
You hit the nail on the head....I am the same way when putting mine up with the clip, the more I mess with it the worse it looks!! After it has been down in this heat and humidity in the south I have to get it off my neck! I have learned when I twist, place it up and sort of fluff my bangs to the side I just walk away and don't look back!! Thank you so much for sharing this today!!!
Melissa you have no idea how helpful your tutorials are to me! Be it hair or makeup, your style of teaching just resonates with me. Thank you so so much
No matter which way you do your hair, it always looks beautiful. That heated brush is amazing. I need to get another one.
Thank you, my sweet, gorgeous friend. Love you. 💗❤🤗
You are SO pretty Melissa! Thank you for this video. I will try this ;)
Nothing is wrong with you! You're an inspiration for me and I'm sure many others. You're the reason I started using Retin A six years ago. I saw a video you did about how long you'd been using it. I immediately got some and started using it (in my forties). It's transformed my skin. So thank you.
Oh thank you so much!!!! This really means a lot to me. And I am so glad you told me about your thoughts on using Retin A. I really like knowing how people react to it and if they like it helps their skin or not. Take care! And thank you. xox
Melissa I have watched you for a month or so now, and I would like to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. It is not just the content that I find interesting, but I enjoy your personality. You seem to have a very sincere and kind way about you. Also, I have to say that not only do you seem like a beautiful person on the inside, but you are a very beautiful woman on the outside. And I think it is so cool what you are doing. Great job. Best wishes.
I think you are simply gorgeous and love your tutorials! I also think you are far too hard on yourself, but we probably all are. Thank you for your work in this space. You are beautiful inside and out.
Also, the higher the hair the closer to God!
Thank you, Gretchen. Yes, I think we are all too hard on ourselves, aren't we? I wonder if men are as much as women are? Anyway thank you! Love, Melissa
Hi Melissa, I clicked on so quick! You look absolutely amazing! Thank you so much!! Have a beautiful evening!!! 💗
Thank you so much, Angela!!! I sure do appreciate it so much.
Just stunning !! Inside and out
💐Dear Melissa, you are amazing…so smart, very wise and your beauty accentuates your loving soul. Thank you for your honesty and that beautiful laugh! Mostly, I thank you for sharing your time and home and Doug, too! Here’s to beautiful women who smile while helping others 🌺
This is crazy, how goood you look.. absolutely stunning ❤
You are my idol! I hope to look as good as you in my 60’s! I’m not to far off.
Stay healthy!
Just beautiful Melissa, you make it look so easy, loving watching your hair videos.🥰
Oh my gosh, orange is your color ! Amazing look on you and the Updo is so so nice on you. Very flattering on you and shows off the beauty of your face. 💗.
Thankyou Melissa! Always a joy to see your uploads and to learn from you.
Thank you for showing these to us!!! I love it when you show use how you do your hairstyles!! And I really like all of the ones you showed. I'm not from the south but the bigger the better and I love the up do that's how I also do mine but I really like the messy look I thought yours looked good in the back! I live in AZ and I end up by noon with mine up off my neck!! I also like a messy bun, but if I just throw it up it's ok but if I try to make it a messy bun it never works out!. I'm going to try doing my half up half down with a twist to get more hight on the crown. Thank you again.
You style your hair so beautifully! xo
Melissa, I could watch you doing your hair all day long!! It's not so much about your hair for me but it's about you....even the way you put yourself down all the time is very endearing. God bless you ❤️
Loved it when you said "these are just chunks you can work on!" You're so real, Melissa! 😊
lol, aw, thank you, Bonnie!!! Have a really good weekend. Many thanks, Melissa
Thanks, Melissa.
I sure do thank you Jo!!! xox
Good morning beautiful. I always get a trick or two when I watch your hair tutorials. Now, I just need to put my new knowledge to work. Love you, Melissa..MaryEllen
Melissa could not be any sweeter. Just love her 🥰🥰🥰
What a nice thing to say, Zoe! I thank you very much. Take care!
@@Melissa55 you’re so welcome. I meant every word. 🥰🥰
Girl, you have the arms of someone 30 years younger. I love your channel.
What a sweet thing to say!!!!! Thank you!
I was thinking exact same thing. Melissa do you work out to get those Beautiful arms?
I’m still gonna watch even though you tell us not too 🤪🤣.
hahhaha, I am absolutely the worst UA-camr ever. hahah. Love ya!
Greetings Melissa! You have such beautiful hair! Don't doubt yourself, you are amazing! Love and blessings ❤🙏
Hey Melissa, I love all the ways you wear your hair. Beautiful! You are so right about us southern ladies (NC) liking big hair.😉 love your videos😍
Your eyes look so pretty here Melissa. I'm getting a few new tools after watching these two videos. Very inspiring!
aw, thank you, Joni!!! Take care! I really appreciate it!
She so pretty she gets younger over the years 🙏🏻❤️
Hey Melissa..
Hugs!
The other day you demonstrated an updo that was so cute! And it sure is nice to get it up during the summer!!!! Take care Monika. I always appreciate you so much. Love to you! And I thank you. xox
Hi Melissa, your hair looks beautiful, I love the half up half down hairstyle--so pretty on you. All your hairstyles looked great. The Peachy Keen lipstick looks pretty on you too!xoxo, Karen
I don't look at any analytics either - to me it is about helping people and the connection, not the numbers. I am not a great morning person either lol! I must be Southern as I like height on my crown too. You explained this so well and look so pretty. ♥ Elle
Hi Melissa. Boy but you are a beauty! Are you sure you have not found the fountain of youth and you're keeping it to yourself ???!!! You look AB FAB in that top 😏 - your arms are to die for. Great job on explaining your hair styles. I learnt a couple of tricks. When I put my hair up it always looks a bit scraped back. I need to get that bump sorted first, spray- then add to..... Thanks hon. Have a great week. Love n hugs from Wales xx
You are sweet! Thank you for that so much. I have to admit this was hard for me to do because I had to sort of think about it and then I over thought it and it did worse. lol It can get frustrating! Good luck and I thank you. And I did not know you lives in Wales. We have known each other for quite a while and I didn't realize it. Anyway take care and thanks!
@@Melissa55 I understand completely the " the more time I spend on it - the worse it becomes" thing, I have that with hair and make up. Yet if I just throw my hair up to shower or remove my make up it looks great ! 😡GRRRRR.
You have forgotten I lived in Wales hon, years ago we talked about it and you said you'd love to visit Wales . ( It was just after you came to England and met Nisha) A lot of shampoo has gone down the drain the drain since then hon 😏😘
wow ! Your video is great, I look forward to watching more of your videos. Enjoy. I hope we will be good friends all the time. May you be healthy, safe and Happiness👍🌺💗
Your a beautiful woman! Thank you for sharing your hair up do's!!❤
Yay! I found it! I just love your videos!
You are so talented ... really ... it’s a talent . Thanks for sharing 💜💜💜. Looks great !!!
Ala Bridget Bardot. Beautiful!
aw, thank you Paula!!! Take care! Have a great weekend. xox
You look stunning in that orange top!
Thank you for this wonderful hair tutorial Melissa, I love how you wear your hair long and it’s encouraging me to grow mine! Loved all hairstyles!💕💕👏🏻👏🏻🥰🥰
Thanks, Sheryl! I do have people telling me I'm too old to wear my hair long, but I really think in today's life, so many of those rules are being thrown by the wayside. Thank goodness! I appreciate it!
You are model beautiful! Stunning!
I got that curly iron and used it. It was great, thanks
I really didn't care for it. My hand kept brushing along the temperature dial but the worst part is I got it stuck in my hair and had to cut out a chunk. This just happened yesterday. My hair stylist will see what she can do but I think I'm destined for a short haircut now.
I love that top on you! 💋 You did a great job 👍 Thank you for sharing 💖 Lots of love always, ,xx
I really needed this inspirational video. I'll try your techniques. Turned out beautifully. See you next time 👏👏👏❤❤🤗🤗
Beautiful! I love a good, messy updo! I’m with you. The more I fiddle with my hair, the worse it looks. I go by the “touch it once” rule. You look magnificent.
Oh I do too!!! And you are so right. The more you fool the less I like it. And I like your touch it once rule. You are my kind of woman! lol Take care, Christina and thanks!
Ha yes the same with me the less time I spend on putting it up the better it looks...Great video honey!! Love you!!! xoxoxoxooxoxoxoxox Carol
Thanks so much for sharing your updo types! I really appreciate it!! Love the tips!!
I LOVED THIS! ❤️❤️❤️
Hello Melissa! Itis very hot & humid here & my hair is driving me crazy! I can style it very well but not in this humidity! I enjoy watching your video's thank you for sharing with us all! Every little bit help's!
aw thank you!!!!!! And your comment is exactly why the messy bun or updo or a big clip, or anything that gets it up was invented! hahahahahahah. Some days, I look at my hair, grab a clip, and walk away from the mirror for the rest of the day! Take care and thank you!
Honestly why aren't you a mature model you'd earn a fortune ! X 💋
Well I appreciate you saying that so much! I would so be a disaster. I'm very clumsy and I would fall all over everyone. hahahaha. But you are very kind to say that. Take are Angie! xox
One word that defines Melissa, Stunning!!!
Oh gosh, thank you!!!! So kind of you!
Just lovely thank you
