So I was meeting Mickey in Epcot in the Pixar film fest building. The kid in front of me had a cast on his arm. The cast member with Mickey said he can sign the cast as long as the mother okayed it. Honestly such a wholesome moment
The miniature horse thing is not a Disney rule. It’s ADA law. They can’t deny a service miniature horse.
That was a shock during my Cedar Fair park training for the new hires. The ADA only legally lists two allowed helper animals Dogs and Mini horses.
This is something that I found interesting when I worked in the airline industry. Miniature horses are covered under the Ada but when flying it does not apply to the airlines themselves. The air carrier accessibility act is the operative legislation. And in that case only dogs are allowed as service animals. Miniature horses maybe allowed in the airport terminal by the Ada but they are not allowed on planes which kind of defeats the purpose of bringing them to the airport anyways
We are also given a little extra flexibility when asking questions about service animals. It's still super strict I am allowed to ask if you have your dot form. You are required to have at least two copies on your person when flying with the animal. We are allowed to ask if the animal is trained to provide a specific function to the handler, and we are allowed to ask what function and service the animal provides. Also in addition to the standard the animal must behave in accordance with the acceptable service animal behaviors (so growling barking biting relieving itself and other excessively disruptive behavior that is specifically laid out in the act that I'm not going to go down that hole list for cuz we'll be here all day) and if the animal at any point during travel becomes non-compliant the animal can be removed from the flight and neither The traveler can choose to go without it or can be rebooked on the next available flight on another day at no charge
Doesn’t make it cool … if you need a horse to go to Disney .. don’t go … you only ruin it for others 😊
I work at a baseball stadium and we also have the mini horse rule. I was doing a training, and that was only question I got wrong. I was like "wtf? Who brings a mini horse to the city??"
With Marvel, Universal is required to feature the character prominently in the park, so not just a picture on the wall. That's why when Universal closes a ride the characters get a meet-greet; to avoid losing that character. Disney also cannot use the word "Marvel" in any theme park.
Anyone else watching loads of Disney park videos even though they're not even going or have never even gone
Watching the videos is the ONLY way I would “do” Disney World.
Thank you SO SO MUCH for including the message about service animals. As a handler who relies on their service dog to get through the day, it is SO important people don't distract our animals. They may look adorable ( especially if they have cool custom gear like mine does ;) ) but they have a very important job. Distracting them can land us in the hospital or godforbid even worse.
Dogs I get, but how is a miniature horse trained for service? And what is it trained for? The same services service dogs provide? Transportation like a wheel chair?
@@g.r.4459 its 2024 look it up bud
I have a question and I mean absolutely no disrespect by this…may we ask permission to pet the dog? I never want to hurt anyone and the worst that could happen is you say no. But would it be terribly distracting to ask? Just out of curiosity…
@@laurinrice5152 It really depends on the handler's preference. Personally, if my health is good enough that day and he's doing well ( service dogs have good and bad days, just like us! ), I occasionally allow people to pet him. But for some people, they prefer absolutely no interaction. Usually most service dogs have a vest and it would say " Do not distract " or something along that line!
@@reyiden7118 Awesome! Thank you so much!

@@dfbbreeaDfb is anti-mlm confirmed?? 😁😁
It seems that the free water park pass is worthless. Hotel check-in is at 3:00, the water parks close around 5:00.
But if you arrive from a red-eye (like this West Coaster often does), you can “pre checkIn” and get your park pass. Just make sure you’ve prepped for the transition from flying clothes to water park clothes. At least I assume this applies to this offer - you’re right it makes no sense if you can’t get the pass until you’ve actually gotten your room. Another option - arriving at 7am, get your rental car and drive to Discovery Cove at Sea World. Leave your luggage in the car, spend the day there, by 3:30 or so you’re ready to move on and head to your Disney hotel.
Thanks for the pool closure alert... We WERE planning to go to yacht club next year in April. We were going specifically to that resort for the pool.
That’s why we keep bringing it up! It’d be such a bummer to stay here and NOT get the Stormalong Bay experience! 😫
I always find these type of videos very interesting. Thanks for sharing this! I’ll be back in 86 days and can’t wait to try 1900 again since it reopened yesterday. Thanks for the entertainment and information, DFB 😊
AH! Have so much fun!! 💞
My son used to bring a hat for the characters to sign when he was older.
I saw someone online bring a Stanley and had every character sign it. By the end it looked really cool
I remember during one of my trips to Disney, me and my mom went to Coronado Springs to swim in the pool there and I ended up getting Under Construction pins from the resort :D
Oh my goodness, I was there at that time, too! Small world! 😆
Unfortunate edit at 11:23, with Mickey peeing in the pool. LOL!
RIGHT ON about Stormalong Bay. Best resort water park regardless of age and interest. Yes, Yacht & Beach Clubs are frighteningly expensive, but at least on this ground, they’re value for money. (And the quiet pools are often really quiet when you just need that.)
Your voice is so soothing. Never thought listening to rules would be so relaxing 😂
Love your channel ❤

Thank you so much for talking about Service Animals❤
I have a service dog and ppl everywhere not just Disney are disrespectful, touching, barking, etc. and ppl don’t understand that it puts me in serious danger to distract my service animal
Being from a spot in the PNW where it pours rain a good 7 or 8 months me and my group of my friends got a good laugh at watching all the people scramble and freak out when it rained at the parks when we were there last October.

Aww - thanks for being here!
This may be a "weird" rule but I just don't get Disney Vacation Club. I called to get more details on DVC and still don't know what I get for $50K when I can just call and reserve a Disney resort room or cabin. $50K would be what it would cost to buy points for one week at a Fort Wilderness Cabin for example. I just don't see the return or what I'm getting for $50K or $34K or whatever the points add up to be. It seems like you are paying (including interest if financing; Disney makes $ here too), for the privilege to call and make a reservation. I can do this for free. Never had an issue making a reservation on Disney properties including the old and new cabins. Do the ROI first as you will most likely be going to Disney every year anyway, but buying the points upfront just doesn't make fiscal sense. It's not an investment, it's a monthly payment. It's my understanding with DVC, you still have to pay estimated $1K or more for maintenance fees; so don't forget to factor this into your calculations/math. Good luck.
You pay that up front (or over a financing period) to be able to book that week (or however long your points stretch) for 50 years. You don’t pay 50k for one stay, it’s for 40-50 years of being able to book without paying each time. Resort costs will probably not be getting less expensive over time, and resale values can actually go up over time, so it pays for itself in a few years and can even wind up being profitable down the road if you decide to sell your contract.
It’s Disney’s time share.
As a DVC member I can say it's worth it. I did the math back when we decided to take the plunge and wish we'd done it sooner, we were going every year anyway.
The kicker for me, at the time, was we were in a basic All Star (value) resort room for ten nights. It was costing us, for JUST the room, which, as everyone knows, is merely two double beds, a bathroom and a TV, nothing more, for $2250 (bring back those days, eh?). When we did the tour we got to the end and sat down to talk about the numbers. I had only ever known one person personally that had bought into it and I had asked them how many points they had. He said he started with a hundred then upped it to two hundred shortly after and felt like it was all they needed to do a trip per year. I looked at the numbers and decided on three hundred, then, last minute, decided to look at 320. So we did the math based on 320 points per year. As someone already mentioned in their comments it's a 50 year contract, so I got to work on the math. The cost of the points added up to roughly $34kUSD, and there is an annual maintenance fee which, at the time, for our home resort, was around $1100. I divided the $34k by fifty, added in the eleven hundred and it only came out to $1780 per year, with the understanding that the maintenance fees will always go up year after year. Since we were paying $2250 on that particular trip for a basic room and we were staring at the possibility of EXPONENTIALLY better accommodations each and every time for the next fifty years I had but two questions for Nancy, our now retired sales agent; "This is less money that I'm spending on a basic room for exponentially better accommodations. How is this possible? What's in it for Disney, who LOVES to take my money, to offer such a better deal than regular rooms available to everyone?". She said "It guarantees you keep coming back. The more you come back the more money you spend on park tickets, food, souvenirs, you name it." It made sense but since we were coming back anyway why not do it in better accommodations.
These days the parks are so damn expensive and the kids are getting older it's getting harder to go, but you can always rent out your points that you aren't using and it actually nets out to be more than you spent for that year on points divided evenly from your initial breakdown and current maintenance fee anyway, so I see it as a winning situation. We have it whenever we want to use it and when we don't/can't we make money off ot it.
@@idaUnchained I get that. But if I pay $5,000/week at a cabin for example, it would take 10 years (not including interest if you borrow) to get my money back (ROI). I still don’t see the value. So I would pay $50K over 10 years if financing plus interest, (at least with a mortgage you get property), for the privilege to call and make a reservation? Having stayed on Disney properties for over 35 years, I've never had an issue making a reservation, old and new cabins alike. Maybe take the $50K and buy an index fund and get at least 7% return and at the end of 10 years you’ll have $75K (adjusted for inflation). I’m sure DVC is good for some but I personally don’t see the value of paying upfront. sorry.

But if keep traveling west around the globe you'll run into Florida. And problem solved with East is the Mississippi River rule.
Love all the Disney facts DFB, I went to Disneyland so much as a kid. I went to Disney World once, and didn’t really have a great time because of the heat and the water being too warm
I mean Florida
The Marvel Days on the Cruise line probably don't apply because a Cruise Ship is not a Theme Park. But I could be wrong.
Just sat down with dinner to watch AJ'S newest video, glad to hear about the diarrhea problem!
Breaking news: *WE CANNOT USE THE GROUND WATER TO WASH OUR BUTTS.*
But in all seriousness, the fact that this is a rule is definitely saying something...Someone's done it before. *shudders*
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh good now I have something to watch getting ready for work 🤭
Yay!!
Well dog and Mini horses are the only service animals listed in the ADA act.
Correct, but some individual US states cover other animals in their state laws
Another weird Mickey rule. He CANNOT sign the same page more than once. We decided each time we met a character they would sign "their" page. Every other character had no problem signing the same page. We had like 5 signatures from Daisy on one page. But every time we tried mickey he wouldn't do it. So weird everyone else can but not Mickey.
That pin isn’t enforced as far as I know. Especially for a kid. If they have enough pins the cast member will trade with them whatever the kid wants. It’s happened to me before when we went to a restaurant in the resorts when I was about 8. Even if you aren’t a little kid a cast member technically can’t refuse a trade even if it’s more than 2 pins.
Okay so I looked into this a little bit more. Apparently it isn’t an official rule. I learned that this rule is up to the cast members discretion, meaning they choose how many pins they will trade and don’t get in trouble for it. You have to be nice though in order for the cast member to be willing to do this for you. This explains how what happened to me when I was was able to happen.
@DFBGuide I think I may have found a loophole to the Dr Pepper thing. In Epcot, they have a DVC lounge above figment. There are drink dispensers that will give you Dr Pepper. If you see this, please Lmk
great tips! blows my mind how people still ask questions about the Disney when it comes to Marvel 😆
Marvel is always tricky territory, but we’ll say “hi” to Spider-Man any chance we get 😂
I'm surprised by the Dr pepper thing because you'd think with. The introduction of coke freestyle machines they wouldn't include it as a lot of freestyle machines do
Omg, I can only imagine someone being super nasty and asking Micky to strike a super suggestive pose...Apparently people are already doing that themselves and taking pics to post on social media. /facepalm
Why have Mickey do the same??
Like as much as I love Dr. Facilier, I would not ask for the dude to take off his shirt...Even as a joke. If anything, maybe I could ask him to imitate the smooth dancing from the movie or something. Or of course, resort to something less dangerous.
So looking up into the sky seeing drones breaks the magic, but looking straight ahead and seeing people with smartphones doesn't? ;)
The mini horse isn't just a disney thing it is a federal law
What happens for pools if you’re staying at a different hotel than friends.
In spring or summer I was usually at the hotel
When did the hold baby rule come into play? I have a picture of Minnie Mouse holding me as a baby in 2001
How far in advance does WDW and Disneyland announce closures/renovations? Sometimes, with all the complexities of a WDW vacation --and it seems that a visit takes almost military precision -- I wonder if it is even worth it.
Actually ngl I'm glad there's no MCU, I just kinda hate Marvel, I love Star Wars but even still, I just wish Disney would do more of their own stuff, like a Hunchback ride, one day, maybe, if I'm lucky....
21:36 Where on is that Coke table located at? My partner loves to collect Coke related things and we'd love to plan a trip to Disney in the future.
This is in the Coca-Cola Store in Disney Springs! It’s literally a three story building dedicated to all things Coca-Cola!
EPCOT, near the front entrance by the "ball".
That girl at 18:30 is just having the time of her life skipping in the rain at Disneyworld, isn't she?
Can I park at the Grand Floridian if I have a spa reservation there?
Yes! Just keep in mind that cast members may have you park across the street from the hotel instead of directly in the hotel parking lot. It’s a little bit of a walk, but there is a walkway you can follow 🙂
Made it before the title change (werid)😂 silly DFB
You forgot the disney rule that says you must spend large amounts of money for everything
Do they still have that statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse?I'd really love to see it?

can universal not use gradians now that disney used it?
Do you have a video with rules/tips for disabled people? I have a, don't know the right term, white stick for blind people/ people with very bad vision. It would be helpful to know if it is allowed to bring into the park.
I also have friends with other disabilities and it would be helpful to know if there are special rules for us we have to know.
I wonder what other marvel characters disney can use in disney world. I don't go to IOA often enough to know all the characters they use
The MAIN Marvel rides Islands of Adventure has focus on Spider-Man, Hulk, Doctor Doom, and Storm (from X-Men). There’s also a Fantastic Four AND Captain American themed eatery there. So…… those characters are probably always gonna be off the table unless the contract changes. 🥲
Can they have the MCU in Disneyland Paris since that is also east of the Mississippi?
Actually no it also extends to all marble charicters tied to the hero or team as well. So anything that was avengers they can't. Anything relating to X-Men they can't anything they can't with fantastic 4 or spiderman
Don’t understand how that benefits universal super hero land looks outdated and people walks thru it to go to Harry potter
@@CarolCityCane305Super Hero Island is an homage to the comic books of the 90's and some people like that. A time when comics were just that: comics, not blockbuster movies we're over-saturated with now.
@@bluegold1026 umm superhero island is outdated I been there recently and the F4 food court it’s horrible and looks out of place at universal
@@CarolCityCane305True, it looks outdated. But, that's why a lot of people love it. Marvel Superheros Island reminds me of the X-men and Spider-man cartoons I used to watch, still do actually. And after X-men 97, a part of me is almost tempted to visit Universal just for Marvel alone
@@jackwilkinson4911 yea I get what your saying but I would rather see marvel at Disney parks now I mean look what Disney did with cosmic rewind that ride is the greatest ride I ever been on
Kinda weird to be worried about privacy invasions when surrounded by 500 strangers on someonelses property but ok.
Mr.Pibb > Dr.Pepper. Fight me lol
Drones are not allowed anywhere on property. And by federal law not allowed to fly over crowds.
Universal would be wise to hang on to the Marvel license for as long as possible. They have a lot of leverage with it. Disney would have to give something extremely valuable to Universal in exchange for complete rights.
As long as Universal continues to use those Marvel characters that they've been using since the 90's, they'll never go away
Well, they keep paying Disney for it. Disney wouldn’t care to use it
@@dominicanheat2790Good point
Yeah, some of their rules are a bit odd, especially with regards to theme park rights to Marvel in Florida
You forgot to mention that DVC members can resort pool hop to almost any resort :) (can you guess the one exception?)
party officially pooped.
I wonder if they have any modesty rules for ultra abbreviated swim costumes.
Does Disney Paris / Tokyo count as “east of the Mississippi”?
Disney Paris has Marvel rides and characters.
For the swim shoes rule do they look the other way if someone absolutely needs to wear them around the waterparks? I have had four surgeries on my feet and apart from my being self conscious about the scars, i absolutely need to keep my swim shoes on since they are special made with arch supports.
Side note EVERYONE WITH FLAT FEET NEEDS TO GET X-RAYED TO MAKE SURE THE BONES DON'T FALL OUT OF ALLIGNMENT, SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE! Do not just take pain killers you will grow numb to them if the pain before surgery gets intense enough. (Thanks for not taking me to get X-rayed sooner mom...) And it will be a very painful YEAR off your feet until you fully recover from surgery where you suddenly have arches and will need specially made shoes just to function inside your own ding dang home.
At Disneyland Paris, I ate a lollypop on Pirates of the Caribbean and no none said anything.
Okay but what if Universal swoops in and decides to get a guardians ride, does that mean that Disney has to get rid of theirs?
What if you arrive at your resort at night, can you go to a typhoon lagoon the next day?
At the moment, it looks like you can only use the free water park benefit on the day of your arrival - but we’ll let you know if that changes once it goes live!
Fine I'll bring my own Dr. Pepper. XD
Can you tell me are you allowed to take photos of the characters with you or you children
Of course , as long as you respect them and don't harass them continuously because they have an assistant following them for protection and the assistant that is dressed in Disney staff uniforms they will gladly help with picture taking.
Halfway through and I wouldn’t classify any of these rules weird. You’ve lost me.
You’re welcome for my interaction.
I thought miniature horses couldn't control their bodily functions
Disneyland paris has avengers campus. So there are disney parks that are allowed to have them.
Yeah, that’s stated in the video
Can you get Mickey to hold a sign to tell your kid his adoption is finalized.
So... No Nuka-Cola at WDW?
Tbh I don't think you are missing out on much not having avengers campus I feel like it is probably the weakest land Disney ever made but I suppose certain characters are very popular. And before people bite my head of consider we could of had asgard or wakanda instead
If you think about it its obvious why mickey mouse is not allowed to sign anything on a part of your body because they don't want people to complain and say your touching you Inappropriately And holding your baby.I think that speaks volumes Same purpose
I will just stay here in New Zealand and not waste my money flying to USA and wasting my money on an experience I can just watch on youtube. I think I have just saved myself $10,000 to experience The Matahorn.😂

Interesting question? My friend got me into the whole Finfun Mermaid tails and I've gotten pretty good swimming with one. We've regularly gone over the instructions on them. Would we be allowed to bring them to the Waterpark?
When I stayed at grand Floridian a few months back there were a couple ducks who had called the pool their home. There was even visible duck feces on the side of the pool. No one seemed to be doing anything about this. Don’t know that duck feces is much more hygienic than a baby’s… Hope they have addressed this since. 😅
Spiderman will never come to Disney world and I find it amazing. Shame universal didn't expand to Hollywood for marvel before Disney bought them. Also bought it for all characters made up till Disney buying them. Which would of banned Disney from implementation it into US parks
