It’s sooo good right? Now you see why I say I can’t stop thinking about it and I read it in January. I have my physical copy coming directly from Pam‘s shop this week and I can’t wait to look through it and compare with my beta copy to see what was changed. We talked about a lot of things so I’m really curious.
Mandy "I don't read Omegaverse", You jumped right into the deep end on that first omega pick lol. I will definitely be checking out January Rain that book sounds so good. I'm so excited to hear you guys are getting Pam Godwin! I'm not a fan of dark contemporary romance but she has a way of writing books in uncomfortable situations and making them feel safe to read. It would help if you asked her how she does it. She may be a witch and casts a spell over all of us readers lol. But in all seriousness, she is an amazing author.
I really did! LOL Pam Godwin really does have a way of writing. When I started Dark Notes, I wanted to be done only a few pages in but Jessica kept telling me "just keep reading!" She can make the reader so uncomfortable and then bring you to such a good place.🩷
I seriously loved it so much. I had to be careful during my review because my 14-year-old daughter kept walking into my bedroom where we fell and I didn’t want her hearing everything. I was trying to be selective. My kids don’t normally walk in during recording and she just happened to do it this one time.😂
I liked Hopeless it was one of my favs of the series. Have you read Tiffany Casper Dogwoods series it’s really good, and Emma Slate. Georgia Le Carre has some amazing vooks
We have not read Tiffany Casper's Dogwoods series! I am adding that to my TBR right now. Emma Slate has been on my TBR for a long time....I need to get to her books! ~ Mandy
Madness behind the mask - My issue with this book is not the triggers, but the fact its classified as a dark ''Romance'' - I dont see this as a romance. there are good aspects to this book, but the romance is just not there for me at any point. where is the redemption? where is the HEA. This book is abuse, abuse and more abuse. There is a non traditional HEA - if any - but its so wrong in so many aspects that it ruined it for me. Its well written, but many of the dark scenes where unnecessary, like it was done to shock the reader and did not made much sense. This was a hard no for me. Its not a dark romance book, its a horror story
Yes, I agree with all of this and not to mention that in the darker version, the heroine is only 12 when she’s married off and then they have that horrible scene on her wedding day in the woods. You know what I’m talking about. It was too much, that is when I realized that I don’t think I can do this anymore. it was just too much
I am so excited for your Pam Godwin interview. I just finished Hills of Shivers & Shadows and I absolutely loved it, obsessed!
