In episode 01 of Mahabharat aired on 07th October 2013, Shantanu accepts Bhishma as his son
Satyavati tries to prove herself to Shantanu by catching a fish. The people of Hastinapur are attacked by Rakshasas. Bhishma comes to save the people. Later Shantanu comes to know from Ganga that Bhishma is his son and accepts him. Satyavati comes to know about Bhishma and becomes furious. Shantanu leaves Satyavati as she is angry with the presence of Bhishma. Shantanu announces that Bhishma is the Prince of Hastinapur. Bhishma visits Satyavati to convince her to stay with Shantanu. ഏതുകാലത്തും വേറിട്ടു നില്ക്കുന്ന അതിശക്തമായ ഭാവാവിഷ്കാരമാണ് മഹാഭാരതം എന്ന ഇതിഹാസം . ഇതിന്റെ ദൃശ്യവിഷ്കാരം അതി മനോഹരമായിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇതിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള എല്ലാവരും ഉജ്ജ്വലമായ് അവരവരുടെ ഭാഗങ്ങൾ പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട് പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ഭീമൻ , ശകുനി, ധുര്യോധനൻ . കർണ്ണൻ , ഭീഷ്മർ , ദ്രോണർ എന്നു വേണ്ട എല്ലാവരും അതിഗംഭീരമാക്കി വിശിഷ്യ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ എന്ന മനുഷ്യ അവതാരം ഒരു പാട്ടു നന്ദിയുണ്ട് ഇതിന്റെ സൃഷ്ടാക്കളോട് , എന്നാലും മഹാഭാരതം മുഴുവനാക്കാമായിരുന്നു.

Good work, Asianet! Uploading all the videos here on youtube is a really appreciatable work! Its really useful for people who have missed the episodes or those who dont have access to TV occasionally. Keep it up! However, I would like to point out that sathyvathi is portrayed as a selfish ignorant person in this serial which is not how she is portrayed in the original mahabharat. She is always a nice person and loyal to the throne and she has respect and lifelong agony and sadness for bheeshma taking the oath. bheeshma-sathyavathi relationship is not deeply explored. And some other inaccuracies are also there. It would have been awesome if they just modernised the br chopra's mahabharat version with modern technology :(
