I apologize for the rushed feeling in this video and the lack of actual footage of the species on exhibit. However, this pretty much reflects the nature of the attraction and with the way it's designed, there was no way to make this into a normal tour. In reality there's also fast paced narration, you never stop to see an animal and you will never get a good look at every single species in just one ride through.

you forgot the rhinos 😬😬
I actually used to drive the monorail. Best job of my life
Two questions how much did you get payed and what do you do know
That’s awesome! :]
I actually got to somehow co-host over one monorail tour guide and he enjoyed my love of animals as well on one visit to the monorail!
@@vivaansingh-nw4di I know a lot and 16 an hour lol
@@ArtistSince05 I used to do that. I let kids with special needs talk on the mic sometimes. I’d get in trouble but it was worth it
@@TeddyreddThat’s awesome!
Nice to see a lot of threatened species in this enclosure and knowing that there’s breeding programs to help them!
Wish they’d make a walking path around the area to see the rare deer such as the Sambar and Hog Deer which aren’t kept by other AZA facilities. I can’t wait to see your coverage of the Lesser Adjutant Stork exhibit by the Aquatic Bird House!
this is so awesome thanks for posting
Nice POV of the exhibit and facts. To answer this week's trivia, I'm going to say Bison. 🙂👍
Fun fact, the Bactrian Deer and I believe Priya The Indian Rhino came to the bronx from The Wilds and in Columbus we have Annikin’s Sister named Natasha for the Amur Tigers.
Love the monorail. It’s usually one of the first things I do when I’m there
Wow. Late night release, but a welcome one! Very great video!
Just want to post this now before the comments of animal abuse start coming up.
Happy is fine. She doesn’t like being with other elephants. She has contact with Patty (the zoo’s other elephant not seen) there’s even a segment in one episode of The Zoo about them interacting.
I love your videos! 🦧
Great content
Eld’s Deer also used to be with the Gaur. They are now kept backstage and you can sometimes see them if you look behind the Monorail at the 2nd part of the Gaur habitat
If this was visible from a walking trail, it would've been my favorite part of the Bronx Zoo.
Cool! Would be cool if the Bronx Zoo added a binturong enclosure there? Try to visit the Woodland Park Zoo sometime! Also, Zak, 6 zoo trivia questions for you & your girlfriend.....
1) How many calves does the Omaha Zoo's African Elephant herd now have so far?
2) Which zoo did the giraffe herd gave birth to a rare brown giraffe calf with no spots?
3) Which Grevy's Zebra passed away back in May 23, 2016 after a rapid decline of health?
4) What are the names of Belle's 10 bottlenose dolphin calves at SeaWorld San Diego?
5) Do you prefer the San Diego Zoo to breed umbrella birds & x-ray fishes?
6) What year will the new zoo in Las Vegas be completely built for the future?
I do enjoy the Monorail, especially all the large, multi-species ungulate exhibits, but I often wish I could take more time to view and photograph the animals.
PS) While it will be sad to see the elephants eventually phased out, I look forward to seeing what the zoo does with their exhibit space.
Lovely video, as always!
When is the next part of the Lost Forest tour coming? Keep up the good work!
10:22 interesting choice, i would not expecting a small (ish) mammal on the same tour as a bunch of hoofstock and big open space animals
Good evening! I'm a CYT (Conservation Youth Team) volunteer at the Virginia Zoo and I absolutely loved your video about the Trail of the Tiger! I do have one small question though, do you intend to come back down here to Hampton Roads and make tour videos about our other areas like the Okavango River Delta and the World of Reptiles? If so that'd be awesome because I'd love to show some of my fellow volunteers 😄
So many hugs habitats! Awesome, although I don't really enjoyed the mono rail way
Even though it’s different from what I’m use to on this channel I think you did a great at capturing the monorail and it’s species though it is definitely difficult to film it. However the exhibits look great and I can’t to see more of the Bronx Zoo exhibits in the future.
Also just one question what’s the next episode going to be on?
Now this is probably the POV you'd do for Kilimanjaro Safaris later.
I used to ride that
Can you view the animals if not on the monorail?
ok the panda enclosure is absolutely superfluous. I hope it just comes off in the video that it was like a reverse rig. Seems tiny by actual Bronx Zoo standards.
Is the monorail handicap accessible?
I've seen a tiger in the Fuengirola Bioparc.
Hey I’ve been here befor 3000000 times
You said that sambar deer are the largest deer in Asia, but aren't there moose in Asia? Which are bigger
There are, as well as elk/wapiti. What I think he meant was the largest deer in Southern Asia.
🐅🐃🐎🐫🐘🦏🦌🐼🦚
african plains
Is Happy their only elephant?
There’s two of them, they just don’t live together due to personality differences
Tiger are from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Mono means one…
Wow... riveting stuff. Did you have to look that one up?
@@calizoos4072 Assume you never watched The Simpsons when you were a kid?
@@calizoos4072bro why do you need to attack that guy for no reason?
And rail means rail.
WHAT THE HECK I THOUGHT THAT TYPE OF HORSE DIED IN THE ICE AGE OR SOMETHING
Its unfair to keep these elephants in social isolation for so many years, and in an inhumanely too small a space.
