  • How psychedelic's have shaped technology and its impact on users. This is the first part of a small series on how technology has negatively shaped humanity. The Bible has much to say on this topic and the fruits of technology in todays world are evident.

Great video, and I agree with many points about the largely negative impact technology has on our mental states. However, psychedelics are making breakthroughs in the treatment of many mental health conditions (something not mentioned in part 1 of this series). For the sake of saving many lives, we cannot overlook the benefits of psychedelics for *medicinal purposes*

While I agree they have a usage in some medical cases, generally people (especially in Silicon Valley) do not use them for these purposes. This video wasn’t a comprehensive look at psychedelics, it was primarily dealing with its influence on tech.

I agree, psychedelics can also make peoples mental health worse too sometimes . I’d say when they’re idolized and used in the sorcerous ways described in the video they only beguile and can lunge someone into a long term dissociative state similar to what we see in technology (described well in the video too imo).
I think psychedelics are dangerous- not necessarily evil or good-
they helped me find the capacity and preconditioned me to understand religion and God in a way I was blind to before-
I was no longer an atheist haha-
But they definitely also open you up to demonic things. I’d say it’s something that needs to be further investigated by philosophy more than psychiatry. There is potential in them though, I have the feeling they’re not just innately demonic but that the way a given culture (ours for sure) promotes and informs the use of such things is misleading and leading to abuse either in how /why and in what dose and with what motivation people do them.

Thanks man. You could make a video on 23andMe and other genetics collection Companies or whatever. How does that combine with the insanity of the early 2020s, phasing in of electric vehicles, and this, your video on Psychedelic Usage in Silicon Valley.
I'm thinking of running away to a world made of wood, metal, stone, cloth, glass, paper, clean air and water, etc. Did you know microplastics are in your important parts? I feel like I might as well have been born a eunuch since everything is compromised, seemingly irreversibly. But I figure I'll just pray and hope on Jesus reading the Bible and donating to the poor box every Sunday I can. What do you think? Anyways, praise the Lord Jesus Christ! I love Him. God bless you!

I could definitely talk about those topics. I’m very wary of any genetic collection and the insanity of the world right now is reminiscent of Roman’s 1. God seems to be giving us over to the depravity of our minds because we have turned against Him.
I could rant forever about microplastics. There’s no escaping it so I’m on the side of praying for mercy and trusting that God will protect His people. I drink strictly from a spring near my house in hopes it has less plastic but it’s hard to avoid plastics in the air/food.

@@freeindeed08idk man, I agree that demonic forces are hijacking technology to effectively destroy those who misuse it, but the microplastics rant sounds a bit like some sensationalist conspiracy theory.
Idk, I guess I don't quite understand what it's like to live in the US.

The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in “advanced” countries, but they have destabilized society, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world. The continued development of technology will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject human beings to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in “advanced” countries.

What do you think about Christians working in something like the IT industry?

Look up Terry A. Davis! Dude made a Christian operating system. May he rest in peace.

I haven’t given it too much thought but my spur of the moment answer is that it’s probably fine as long as you’re not supporting something evil. I generally think that the more Christian’s we have in these evil fields may do something to hamper the demonic influence. I’ll give it more thought and get back to you.

@@richardwatterstan I wouldn't classify that as a Christian OS, presuming to speak on behalf of God and using it as a form of divination 🤔 Not to mention his personal penchant for racial slurs.. He was not mentally well
