BN Racetrack - Hinsdale IL - September 20 1991

The Friday afternoon rush on the Burlington triple track.
BN & SP freights, Amtrak's California Zephyr, and lots & lots of E9 powered commuters at the Highlands, and the downtown Hinsdale station.

I like seeing that classic BN logo on the METRA cars, and those mechanical bells sound much better than today's e-bells!

This is some really nice footage, beautiful F units, original BN locomotives, and even the original amtrak F40PH paint scheme, all though in my state they still use F40PH's (its downeaster amtrak) but they are NPCU's (non-powered control unit) and also are used for baggage.
