Hi, I also faced the same situation for my son. He is 2.5 years then and will speak only 3 words and make everything in action only. Once I put him in the play school he started to speak. I have not listened to anything which my relatives and neighbours says abt his speech issues. I believed in my son and God and everything gone correct.
My son spoke at the age of 4 1/2 yrs. one of the biggest mistake I did was when I tried to motivate my son to speak .. I was asking him the question n then instead of waiting for him to give me an answer .. I gave the answer before he even tried . Also whenever he wanted to tell me something I understood the clue n gave him replies . This actually doesn’t encourage them to speak instead the kids are happy as they get what they wanted without even opening their mouth. Keep motivating the kiddo … best wishes sis ❤

One girl had the same problem she was 3 yrs old she couldn't utter any words .Later she was admitted in LKG . when she mingled with other students.she gradually picked up words and now she is a chatter box.

My son is mildly austistic, but i resigned from my job in Chennai and came back to madurai took care of him for the past 4 years and nows he is going to normal school, scores about 75%...
95% i have recovered him...its in the mother's hand...a mother can make magic...i left my son to therapy only for 6 months, later i did all the effort..i am a single parent..at least you have someone to console you..i didn't have that also...i used to cry, weep wholeheartedly in the street, luckily my parents are very supportive and my mother my angel helped me a lot...
Now my son is speaking fluently, yes still there are some features which will sustain lifelong but he is as good and talented as a normal kid...

I've a small testimony abt my son. We had to face same situation. But Our Lord was gracious enough. Once we took him to A Mighty servant of God and He prayed over him and prophesied that he'll be like Moses. Truly now he's 21 and we are a living testimony.. God is using him wonderfully and he's doing a wonderful job in the church and in college...
Don't give up... God is going to use him mightily.... He's going to share the wonderful saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ to MANY...

My second son start to speak after 2 1/2 years.suddenly he spoke.we are all surprised.now he is 3 1/2 he tells thirukural 5 proverb 30 in govt anganwaadi annual day pgm. He has good listening skill rather than speaking.tks to govt anganwadi teacher.

First check hearing level...some child delay speech mainly one of the reason is hearing problem...consult ENT and take BERA test...don't worry its cureable if we diagnose early...

Hi suni....my younger son is going to be 3 years old...ippo dhan konjam soldradha repeat pandran...medical test for international visa le problem aachu...day care le problem vandhuchu...speech delay...matha children oda socialize agamataan...now he started interacting...he was so interactive till 1.5 yrs..after that he completely stopped talking the words he was already saying...ippo lot of improvement..

Hi Sunitha , i am also mom of two , a 6 year old daughter and 1.8 months old boy , my daughter had this speech issue and diagnosed with autism . My boy is just months less than chickoo i always look up to your video to compare to his growth and looks like chickoo is doing great , my son is also going to day care because i work in IT in Canada and he is improving too. Sending to play school is something good that we are doing to our children who needs little help to start. Eventhough my daughter has autism going day care helped her a lot with her school disciplines

Each child is unique in its own way, some may reach the milestones early... And some may not. My younger son, didn't speak upto 3 years, then went to nursery, but spoke only English, as we live in Dubai. But today....6 years old, He speak so well in many languages, so don't worry.... Avoid showing cartoons, rhymes or shorts.

My friends son and my niece had challenging time during the age of 6-12 years. But now they became very clever in speaking and obedience to their parents. I pray your child will recover from this soon mam. Let ur children play with other in park or outside to plays and children speaks alot that bring up some clarity.

But stopped. Then he started talking only at 3.5 yrs. Reasons can be. Boy start late, or it can run in ur family. Don't take him to speech therapy now. It's very stressful for u and the child. I went through that phase. They ll take multiple test psychological and physical. Thet check whether the child has any disability physical or mental. When u listen to all this u ll be hurt emotionally. Give him time he ll start to talk. Now my son talks so much sometimes I will be who teaches u all this and he ll say he thinks himself. Take it cool. U need to wait till 3-4years to go to therapist. Trust me I went through all that and I was mentally so stressed

Hi Sunitha. Am a big fan of urs and I admire ur positivity and the way u handle everything positively with a smile. I usually don’t have the habit of posting any comments but when u told about ur son, I felt very emotional too as I was also in the same situation. My son is 2.5 years old now but he was also not speaking when he was around ur son’s age. We were also very concerned about it as everyone used to say that my son is not speaking and I used to feel guilty as am also a working mother and so couldn’t spend much time with my son. I even thought of leaving my job but then doctor suggested to put him in a playgroup and I put my son in playgroup last year and we are seeing lot of improvements in him after he started going to school comparatively. Still he haven’t started speaking big sentences which still worries me and my husband but he is speaking many words compared to earlier and trying to communicate. Listening to ur video today gave me lot of hope and confidence..Thank you very much..Ur son will speak well soon and don’t worry about it..

You are absolutely correct. As a mother I crossed the same situation. Neighbours used to comment like I am focusing only on my work and not caring for my son. He started his speech from 2.5 years and he is 5 years old now. Now the only word i used to tell him like don't speak and be silent for at least 5 mins.

I dont feel comfortable to say this. But, my consciousness forces me to let you know this . There is a high chance that Chickoo has autism. It is a spectrum. I am a special education teacher working in the U.S who specializes in kids with autism. Early intervention is the key. He can easily cope and lead a great life.
Don't share ur half boiled knowledge here. Without knowing completely about that kid, don't give unwanted advice.

Same story mine too.. 1.2 he said amma , we thought he would improve.. then no improvement. We waited till 3 years, no improvement. Many people suggested speech therapy, we were scared of those terms. Atlast 3.4 years , we came out of shell and joined him in sheersha therapy in chrompet. He goes weekly once class for 45 mins. I would say he improved lot and clarity in speech and sounds. To be noted we already joined him in school 2.7 years. Nearly 6 months weekly once speech therapy class improved lot.

I put her play school and OT for a couple of Months then her eye contact and name calling response improved... Now for the past 2 months she is still going for speech therapy... She is speaking 20-30 words now... I have a positive mindset most of the time but mother guilt and sadness push me down many times... Over thinking sleepless nights still exist... Will keep chikoo in my prayers... God will do miracles soon dear... Be strong...

Hi Sunitha. When I was watching this vlog it was as if you were narrating my story. My son was going through something very similar. Living abroad I didn't have any elders to guide me and had to solely depend on doctors. Luckily we had a very good pediatrician who wanted us to put him in a play school first rather than starting speech therapy. We started noticing visible difference after first few months. Please hang in there. You will start seeing a lot of changes in the next few months.

Really you did a great job, same problem here my relative facing the issue. But for their case paappa has some ear problem so she couldn't hear the word clearly. So the paappa couldn't speak clearly. my son was also a late bloomer. He has names for everything around the house. We followed him too. So oranges was ungu, cabbage was kabis, yogurt is kabis also. he started to actually speak after 10yrs old. It was heart breaking. but then we did not know anything about all this scientifically. All we did was constantly engage him in whatever we did. Now he speaks non-stop. Already 23yrs old engineer and a company director.

My second one also exact same...was recommended for speech therapy but she was shy and not talking to them also... but once she started daycare / preschool her speech improved drastically... my understanding after this is even though it's hard for us to leave them with others when they are under 4...but kids spending time with kids their age or older helps a lot with their speech as they are forced to use words to communicate.
