to be fair, TT isn't a super demanding sport in terms of energy, so he isn't really losing much or even anything by staying warmed up. A lot of players have tics and twicthes and other voluntary or otherwise habits to keep them steady. Some may be functional, some are not. Calderano for example, despite helping with sweat, is constantly brushing his arms on the forehead but he has many other tics. And he is no worse player for it (although simply wearing a bandana would probably save him a lot of trouble... I mean, Nadal and Federer do it, and so does Timo in TT...).
