@Kamari Leland thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
J'adore les défenseurs, c'est mon style de jeu préféré, les matchs entre un attaquant très "agressif" et un pur défenseur sont les plus intéressants selon moi 🙂
The coolest thing of this video is how it proves one more time that the crappy camera angle of ittf official matches does not allow people to appreciate the speed and power of the players. Notice how the ittf official transmitions make it look so slow and the recordings at an angle let you appreciate the explosiveness of those players... Great vid
I never clicked so fast, since this is the one I requested not long ago. You even included "The Chopper" who I enjoy watching a lot. Thanks for the upload!
Estilo defensivo apesar de bonito é muito ingrato, te obriga a se movimentar muito em troca de um risco muito alto devido os movimentos serem de alta dificuldade
Evgueni Chtchetinine is the only "world-class" player I can think of off top of my head who does not attack a lot. He uses a 1.1mm sponge on fh though.
urgh such a shame what ITTF has done to defenders. Lets take a niche but beautiful style of the sport which was never dominant in any way and make Long pimples worse AND take spin away from the ball through making it larger and out of plastic....you can really see a different level of exciting play between old and new.
Defence is an art ..appreciated by everyone..visually breath taking...works with low level nd midlevel players....but fr winning strategy at higher levels attacking is the best...btw clearly u can see in video most points are lost by defence players....im a chopper myself..
He retired. He also once said, that he's frustrated because he can't play as stylish as before, when he was younger. This were his words. I believe this was in an interview talking about the new plastic ball...
I heard that Stéphane Ouaiche (whom I also like a lot) was a chopper when he was a youth player but switched to double inverted before he became a junior player. It might be true since there is still a lot of all-around elements in his style now.
Defense is not very effective at high ranks because its basically all the same thing. Chop this chop that. Cut this cut that just to hang on as long as possible and drain out your opponents and wait for them to make mistakes or you counter attack at the perfect moment. Its better to play offense and make sure you stay on top of your opponents
that's nonsense, really. winning and stopping the other person from winning are the same thing ;being the last person to get the ball back counts for quite a lot, in tennis as well. Notice that all those defensive players can counterattack.
Yes, you are right!. I only wanna see rallies with a won by choppers! Because the last matches won by defenders were at times of Celluloidball, speedglue & 21-point-rule... and that makes me really sad...

Love defence, there nothing quite like retrieving a powerful hit with a decent chop.
Stupid question

Is it a "worst of" Timo Boll?
You ever notice that the best defenders are the ones that can also attack :/
