The toshiba one actually made sense. The image in the background is called "Indian-head test pattern" they brought the indian from this well know tv image to life. Indian people existing on tv is not politically incorrect.

I didn’t really see what’s wrong with this one. Actually very cool to see how an isolated tribe experienced the new technology and it seemed very wholesome. Back before all the manufactured division I can assure you there was no ill intent behind much of these types of things. People were just MUCH less easily offended and poking fun was part of life. The 80s and 90s were an incredibly chill and kind time and despite what we are told real racism existed much less then than it does now.

The toshiba one actually made sense. The image in the background is called "Indian-head test pattern" they brought the indian from this well know tv image to life. Indian people existing on tv is not politically incorrect.

I'll be 58 in June, and can remember when cigarettes were advertised on TV. The last one aired in 1971. New Years' Day, I believe it was. This is from Canada, but I'm posting from the USA. Nowadays, they have ads for prescription drugs. That practice seemed to have started about 20 years ago.
Cigarette TV adverts were banned in Australia in 1976; prescription drugs are not advertised.
I had a New Zealander tell me that NZ and the US are the only countries that allow pharmaceutical ads. I figured the US was the only one.

I didn’t really see what’s wrong with this one. Actually very cool to see how an isolated tribe experienced the new technology and it seemed very wholesome. Back before all the manufactured division I can assure you there was no ill intent behind much of these types of things. People were just MUCH less easily offended and poking fun was part of life. The 80s and 90s were an incredibly chill and kind time and despite what we are told real racism existed much less then than it does now.

Neither pre-DWW Graham Greene paying his acting dues nor the newly-contacted tribe in the Amazon (that one was actually pretty anti-racist and pro-unity in tone) even remotely offensive. Even the "remon" guy commercial was laughing with him over his accent rather than at him. The only one that can be seen to be even remotely offensive was a non-contextualized Al Jolson, but the rest were either very progressive for when they came out or just completely inoffensive.
21st century era people forbid the use of the native American headdress and outfit he is wearing.. they say it's insulting to the native American to sell a product with that type of attire.. like it's making fun of him or something while in reality I think it's just wanting to use something very cool and exotic and native American culture is cool.. Well now days someone would complain that fur is murder. I have nothing against fur blankets and jackets as long as the rest of the animal doesn't get wasted and as long as its with in legal limits of course.

Yes killing animals for their fur is immoral, not to mention that fur coats and hats look fugly and gaudy. Crime against animals and crime against fashion. The animals that own the fur are the only ones able to make it look good. I can’t imagine killing an animal for its fur as means to flaunt my wealth while looking completely ridiculous.

While killing animals like Tigers etc. Is wrong, there's no difference between raising mink or other non-endangered animals for their fur than raising chickens or other food animals. Having lived in a climate where it hits 50 below, synthetics don't keep you as warm as fur. As far as fashion....well man buns and green hair look pretty ugly, but if someone wants to wear that, it's their choice.

Obviously there’s no issue with this. However it’s the extent to which they try that actually is bizarre. I can’t understand when all the members of a family are a different race and this is supposed to just pass without any thought. I get it, it’s possible one parent died, remarried, and the other is adopted or whatever. But this is not a “typical” or very often relatable family situation.
