- In Pakistan only living related kidney transplant is being done. It is the best treatment once someone develop ESRD. There are several commonly asked questions about it and people have different points of view. I have tried to answer all those questions one by one based on evidence. This will help people and increase awareness about kidney transplantation. This time I have provided Urdu subtitles for audiences to understand more clearly.
Finding a willing living kidney donor is an alternative to waiting for a compatible deceased-donor kidney to become available.
Family members are often the most likely to be compatible living kidney donors. But successful living-donor transplants are also common with kidneys donated from unrelated people, such as friends, co-workers or religious congregation members.But as per PHOTA law this is not acceptable in Pakistan.

Nephrologist recommended that it’s good to not wait for any pain or dialysis.
Im not a doctor, but being thru this path, ill advise you to start legal process to arrange approval for donor, which is most difficult part of legal procedure in pakistan. Go thru phota and federal hota rules to arrange approval of the donor.

You can just take his kidney. There is no problem. You do t need to swap.

U will have to under go cross matching tests with ur father. Consult a good nephro, who will mention u tests, and you will get clear whrther transplant is possible
