This is a lot harder than it looks, at least it was for me. Some tips I found while trying this. You can scout a normal raid that starts with tightrope to practice. Bring a locator orb, sweets and full inv of p necks. You can time the rapid heal to cross when you are health regen is at about 80%. One of the hardest things for me was to time the click back after picking up the crystal, a visual cue you can use is to click back when your character turns and is directly facing the crystal. You can slow-mo the video to see exactly when he clicks back to see what I mean.
UPDATE: So this never happened to me in testing, but after you pick up the crystal, normally it's tick 1 you move towards rope, tick 2 you cross rope, and somewhere in those 2 ticks you equip the pneck and eat the sweet depending how fast you clicked. Well if you click so fast that you manage to eat the sweet in the first tick, the skip fails as it's too early to tick eat. So always click pneck before the sweet to decrease the chance of sweeting on the first tick. This issue will only happen if you click extremely fast though so not a big deal, but doing pneck first just makes it safer lol. UPDATE 2: So for ironmen, using a locator orb to get down to 1 hp and then using a brew for the crossback gives a very good success rate. In arma set-up with avernic+ neitz faceguard (assuming no inquisitor for most irons) you have 1% death rate. So for accounts with no purple sweets do this! UPDATE 3: When doing 2 hp skip, praying augury reduces death chance by almost half, and when not sweeting before picking up crystal it reduces death chance by almost two thirds. Just make sure you have enough prayer to make it across if you go with augury.
@@ricardocherubin2580 Yea, if you're an ironman or just a main that doesn't want to use them, you can use a locator orb to get down to 1 hp, and then a brew on the crossback with the pneck instead of using a purple sweet with the pneck.
Every time I attempt this, my pneck breaks before I start crossing back. Not exactly sure what I'm doing wrong. From the looks of the video, kirby equips the pneck in between the npc's attacks. For me, I'm equipping it and before I can get to the rope, some more attacks come in and proc the necklace.
for those wondering, yes watch the video because timing matters on the rapid heal apparently i found out the hard way, kept wondering why i got hit 2s instead of 1s, watched the video with sound and turns out you need a certain timing on the rapid heal lmao
What happens in the small % of instances that constitutes a perfectly executed skip but failed because of bad rng? Also learning this is consuming my soul.... My pneck keeps proccing right before/as i cross the rope back so i just die........................
Does it have to be with a sweet when I tick eat? Or would an aid work? (Specifically for 1 Hp skip). Wondering if there’s an alternative to sweeting for it but if not I can just bite the bullet I guess
ty so much for this. I feel like im following the steps but i find my pneck procking before i cross the rope on the way back. does this just mean im not fast enough?
Yea if your pneck procs before you cross back it means you were too slow. The difference between being correct and being 1 tick slow looks almost identical because of the animation lag, even for me I need to watch a clip back a few times to tell, which can make it tricky for people watching back a recording of themselves and trying to tell if they lost a tick. Practice helps a lot, so does camera angle and zoom, some people orient their camera a different way for the 1 and 2 hp skip since you don't have to eat anything before picking up the crystal so you have more freedom in camera angle and make your inventory closer to the rope when crossing back. Also clicking earlier to run to the rope after picking up the crystal can give you more time to equip the pneck and eat the sweet. Though careful not too click too early as the crystal pick up animation takes 2 ticks, and clicking a tick too early means your character won't move at all.

any tips on how to make this work in normal solos? guessing the hardest part would the timing for rapid heal since vesp won't be before rope room. also, the other layouts of rope room require running much farther to the exit, probably way riskier. any idea of best rope skip strat for normal solo speed runs? thanks for the awesome guides
For normal solos it's tricky, you'd have to guess when to turn on rapid heal, and using either a timer or just a visual indication of your hp regen status (look at the little circle around my hp orb right as I cross) to know when to cross. Plus many normal solo raids layouts tend to have a loading zone you encounter which makes things even tougher. It would really only be for low defence accounts it'd ever be worth trying to do the strat on normal solos. For normal solos the NPCs are much weaker, so you can equip a bulwark with your bandos, have bulwark on defensive style and have it equipped for at least 5 seconds (8 ticks) before crossing for the damage reduction effect to activate, pray mage + augury and cross the rope on full hp. Then brew and run to crystal and cross back quickly. Bringing a pneck as well as the bulwark will further increase your survival chance. I've also heard of bringing double p neck and no bulwark, and praying range+augury to maximize p neck chance of activating, and equipping the 2nd p neck before 2nd cross, which would work even on low defence accounts (NPCs max a 22 and 23, and you need to go below 20 hp for the p neck to activate). When I have time later I think I'll calculate the success rates, I've always wondered for normal solos how well bulwark vs ely vs p necks work.
tysm for video! i'm not sure i'm understanding the timing of the hp regen bit though- does your hp change where on the rope you want to regen, or does the start tile you showed work best for every hp?
So the 1 and 3 hp skips have better success rate if you regen HP a bit earlier, 3-6 ticks earlier than the timing I talk about at the start. But 1 hp skip is already such high chance it doesn't matter, and with the right armour 3 hp skip is always extremely high success rate, so I would just do the original timing based off of that vespula tile, but if someone really want to optimize every last bit of their success rate, they can mess around with delaying for between 3-6 ticks before crossing the rope when doing 1 and 3 hp skip, but I don't think it's needed.
@@Molgoatkirby ok cool. and for 2hp skip it doesn't matter/the shown start is optimal? i'm not gonna pretend i actually understand the mechanic there but if i can get the conclusions i need them i'm just gonna take that and run XD
@@urd3adnow for the 2 hp skip the shown start tile is optimal. It's ok if you turn on your rapid heal on as early as 2 ticks before you leave that spot, or as late as 1 tick after you leave that spot (that's the room for error you have), if you turn it on any later, then it won't heal you in time unless you wait before crossing the rope. If you turn it on any earlier, much bigger death chance happens as they have a bigger chance of koing you on the first cross. So basically the conclusion to take is that 2 hp is the only one where it's very important you turn it on at that tile and get the timing correct, as it's only a 4 tick window that gives the ideal survival chance, and it's a significant difference.
Yea, the original kirby skip was patched, but I made this kirby skip 2.0 as a response, and it doesn't use any stalls so it's unaffected by the changes.
can you explain what part of this exactly is rng? when i heard this, my understanding was that the cross back was tick eaten by a sweet and therefore guaranteed to proc the pneck and live. which makes it seem to me like the cross *there* must be the rng bit. but i'm not actually certain.
rng is basically the hits dealt to you prior to the second cross. let's say you're 1hp and cross and only get hit once during the cross and every hit is a 0 until your second cross. you heal to 2, redemption procs putting you at let's say 26hp. assuming you rolled enough 0s so your hp is still high, even if you tick eat the first wave you can get overkilled skipping the pneck proc if the hits roll a combo like 6/26. this is why it's better to be in low defence gear for 1hp/3hp skips. 2hp skip should have defensive gear on most likely to prevent you from dying to the wave of attacks as you're picking up the crystal in the case that every attack from every npc rolls a 2 for every hit, they'll probably overkill you through the redemption and the sweet as well
For all hp amounts you'll need purple sweets for the cross back. Finding a solution that doesn't use stalls and doesn't use purple sweets is very tough unfortunately, if stalls come back then irons can use locator orb + 1 p neck in w 365 to skip needing purple sweets, but until stalls it's a bit of a rough situation.
@@MebremHD So update, turns out the death rates are actually pretty good when using a brew for the crossback, so for irons using 1 pneck and 1 locator orb is ideal, allowing you to get your hp down to 1 everytime and giving a very low deathrate of about 1% in arma+neitz faceguard + avernic defender (lower defence is better but most irons won't have inquisitor).
