- It's been a while since I commanded tanks, but what a brilliant op to do it in. Those East Germans were just lining up to be knocked out, and we didn't lose a single tank until we ran into their secret weapon - the Wipperau.
What unit/clan is this?
This is my unit, the Cadian XXth. Casual milsim, roleplay and all those weird ops that you never get to play in your normal milsim group. It can be found in the discord: / discord

I wish. Video definitely has inspiration from the likes of Soviet and Max0r, but I try to strike a nice line for telling a story, humorous edits and actual gameplay. I try to put out a video every three days, hence why not every single video will be a Fustercluck or not as long or detailed as I'd like. Time constraints are a problem.

@@openthinker6562 It's also pretty realistic compared to what a Leo can do IRL, the 60 km/h over terrain is listed for uneven ground. If you have flat ground a Leo can easily drive 100 km/h without destroying it's crew and suspension. A buddy of mine once saw a Leo2 drive at least 120 km/h on a road.

when Hawk was crashing, I stayed in the cockpit to figure out where we were, thought we had landed in enemy territory, then got out to see Rhino right in front of us, i didnt even see the skid lol

This is funny because Rommel was stopped by the Maas river and couldn't bother to wait for the Pontoon bridges so he crossed the river with ferry boats

Back when recon came by a year ago, they had drained it to repair one of the banks downstream. This year it is nice and wet. And deep enough to admit ships.

I just KNOW that there has to have been a tank IRL that drove full speed into a river due to their battle plan being based on a bad map like in this video. Though, it prolly would have had to be in conjunction with bad visibility, like from fog, so the tank crew didn't see the river until it was too late to stop.
Well, at the Battle of Prokhorovka soviet tanks drove into their own anti tank ditch because no one told them it was there, thats the closest real life example I know of.
Had a buddy who served in Iraq who did it but with a Stryker, and also it was a canal that had been filled with sewage after the local plumbing broke down.
I assume the recovery team was NOT happy about that part.
Big props to the pilot for recovering from that. Most would've just smashed into the ground, but he managed to pull a nice soft landing!

I am a fully democratic German person and I give you a little lesson of trick-.. I mean reading a map.
If there is a black name on a map that appears only once than it is a Town, Village or City name.
If there is a BLUE NAME that APPEARS MULTIPLE TIMES (!!!!) alongside two depth diagonal red lines then it is a RIVER.
(Also the Name Wipperau appeared in the loading Screen where it says that it is a River going through *THE ENTIRE MAP!!!!!*)

The scouting team should've marked the river on the map, but didn't. Because scouts always leave out the most important things.

This is one of the coolest eras to theorize about warfare, Europe during the cold war, especially the 50's and 60's. Devastating weapons of war but still weak enough to make the battle interesting.

That was a fun one to watch. There was a whole saga with the logi team he complains about at 6:12 too. At one point he had to commandeer a jeep to race after them because they'd driven off again without actually fixing the tank they'd been called for :D.
That helicopter recovery and landing though! For what look liked a direct or at least glancing hit, that was an excellent recovery.
The Campaign for Global Mobile is really hard, especially with tank missions. I still love the assets and map that came with the dlc. Well worth it.

damn that Crash Landing of the Helicopter was the best one I've ever seen
the BTR takes me back to Arma 2 wasteland, we once found one half dead on a road side, engine gone, tires gone, charred but still intact, the physics let you just kind of drop it in ways you shouldn't so we used it like a damn drop pod, into the redfor base, KPVT and PKT blazing and full of infantry, we repaired it late on and used it as a normal APC until it got destroyed delivering people to an AI mission by 2 independent faction players with a M47 and a Lada :D
