my math teacher always explains stuff without getting into some of the specific details - it leaves me with a lot of niche questions and your videos always answer them!! TYSM!!!
Thanks man, you really helped out. I got into Algebra 2 honors this year for 8th grade even though I never took Algebra 1 in school and only studied it at home a bit. These videos have been helping out so much as I study Algebra 1 in the summer. My book doesn't really explain the concepts that well but your videos are so helpful and really easy to understand, simple, and straightforward.
Okay I’m from Asia (Philippines) and we’re learning this in 8th grade I’m seeing a lot of ppl learning this in high school not middle school... ASIA WHY YOU DO DIS? Edit: thanks for the likes and support! Glad to see I wasn’t alone in this math hell hole :D
Thank you so much! I have an online professor that I unfortunately cannot understand his accent nor comprehend his handwriting. I found this video and it is clear as day now. I will be using your other videos now as I need them.
Im from Philippines, i know this video is too old, but it really helped me much, im on 8th grade (second year) and my math lessons is so hard, when my math teacher explains it my mind really flies everywhere, i cant focus to our class cause of thinking eveything else, now i got idea to search it on youtube, i found this channel and video it really helped me much! THANK YOU SO MUCH TUTOR FROM NOW ON ILL BE WATCHING ALL YOUR VIDEOS (as i needed to).
9:09 the thing I don't particularly like about any math videos is that they look for solutions for particular situations instead of giving a universal approach. The universal approach here (at least in my opinion) would be to write a system of equation: x+y=-5 xy=-126 Then when you try to solve it (I tried it for y), it turns into a second degree equation: -y^2-5y-126=0 If you use this approach, no matter how difficult the task gets, you should be able to handle. I understand that this might be an overkill for this situation but I feel like it's really important to give a universal approach, for people like me, who aren't particularly accustomed to math.
i just want to say THANK YOU!!!! everything was so clear and well put together that I actually understood what factoring by grouping is, in the first 5 minutes.
Thank you so much. It has been a terrible summer and I forgot my Algebra basics and for Calculus we need some really fast factoring to get by. Thank you so much!
Just remember - not passing an exam is definitely not the end. And it will not mean a failure, unless you choose to completely give up on the studies afterwards. With that in mind, just remain peaceful & don't forget to rest (not procrastinate, but fully rest) regularly. With every upcoming test, simply remember - there's nothing that cannot be restored, no one that cannot be convinced, and no decision that can be recovered. Just keep going & believe in the best outcome possible, because faith moves the mountains :) I believe in God & I know He takes care of all people (even if they don't believe). I hope this will help you in the future! Have fun, even if it's math!

Great video, I love all the different examples you gave. Do you have a video for how to use this method with a trinomial? You've already split the 1st-degree term, I'd like to see how to get to this stage from a polynomial like, say, x² + 9x + 20 to use your first example.
