A player has to gather feedback and not just listen to a coach or instructor bark out commands all the time. Someone who is helping a player with shooting technique and is constantly giving orders or making changes is going to overload a player's feedback and cause them to become frustrated. Let the player take the lead from time to time and realize that you may achieve more productivity by simply asking questions and letting the player form the solutions...
