Just the realization he could never make Hercules give into fear but the tragedy of Jack realizing what kind of man he just killed.
That’s good. I can die as myself.
The most soul crushing moment happened right at the end. Throughout the entire fight, Jack had been trying to keep as much distance between himself and Heracles as possible, opting for longer range attacks. But at the end when Hurcules is fading into oblivion, and Jack is experiencing unconditional love for the first time in his life, Jack desperatly tries to hold on to Hercules and reaches out to catch the pieces of him that crumble away.
He died as he lived. Loving humanity.

@antonitocotter447 He fought for thr God's out of a sense of duty but he by no means was willing to let humanity be destroyed. He was willing to even let Jack live if he just conceded.
Hercales is an example of the indomitable human spirit. He lost his left arm, was crushed by a building, and was impaled. Yet he never gave in to fear, he never surrendered. His death is one of the most heart wrenching and moving moments in the whole anime
Hercules willing to die to save Jack the Ripper's humanity has got to be the most heart wrenching scenes in anime. Jack the Ripper saying "he lost" failing to change Hercules' Emotion about him and Humanity. Made him regret Killing someone that truly loved us unconditionally. The humans didn't learn a lesson after witnessing the fight, casting stones at him. But notice how only Shakespeare, was able to witness a Serial killer finally grow into having Regretted Killing to only Human that actually truly cared about Jack; Hercules. He may have lost but he defeated Ragnarok with his Love and Resolve. It's just an Anime wtfff this is so good.😭

This song does something with me man the fight between Jack and Hercules the fight between shiva and rudra man this song had me in tears every time
While the first season of the anime is not the best in terms of quality I would not have become a fan of the series as a whole had it not been for it. I started reading the manga when I finished the first season and I’ve been a fan since. Round 4 is definitely my favorite so far and I’m absolutely happy with the way they made the fight end. This is the exact emotion that I would’ve wanted to see in an animated adaption!
hercules was not just any god even though he was a being greater than any human he still loved humanity with all his heart😥
When you think about it that Jack the Ripper always has been depicted as an villain and is supposed to be the 'evil' character he has been known for as throughout numerous tales and crimes. It just shows how beautifully the Story turned the perspective of him, away from a heartless monster to missguided child. And finally, a growing person. Jack, from beeing an ice cold killer, to going so far to feel bad for killing Hercules - Which I think in Hercules eyes made him win.
Cause Jack felt bad for what he did - Herules passed on his torch to him. The best fight so far in my opinion. 💔 RIP Hercules

The only death in ragnarok that wasn’t with sad music was for Poseidon
Because when others have died, their kin were heartbroken; saddened that they'll never see their heroes ever again. Everyone else was praised, loved, or at the very least well-respected. And their opponents, especially, all felt respect and even sadness for the fallen; be that human or god.
Poseidon, however, was intimidating in a terrifying way, arrogant and disrespectful; he symbolized the worst of the gods, thinking nothing of humans as they were just annoying little bugs for him, and even other gods were oftentimes victim of his arrogance and pride - Poseidon was willing to kill his OWN BROTHER for being, in his opinion, "not godly enough" (as gods don't betray, don't plot revenges, don't cause mayhem, as gods are perfect beings). Gods were more terrified that human killed one of their own than the fact that it was Poseidon who died. Only Hades seemed to shown actual concern for his death and promised to avenge him (but that could be because of his blood bond with Poseidon); not even Zeus felt sorrow as he has claimed that it was Poseidon's pride and underestimating his opponent that caused his death. Even Kojiro hasn't shown any grief/sadness/pity/self-reflection/praise towards Poseidon, unlike any other winner in Ragnarok thus far (manga included).
Poseidon was powerful, was mighty, was stunning, an excellent warrior... but as a living being, he wasn't truly liked by nearly every god nor human.
@@Oscarus4250True words, allthough Kojiro showed a bit of respect towards him, when Loki and the seven gods were about to attack Buddha. He said that Posidon wouldn't stood for such a behaviour.
