@@michaeliv284 that's because shiva's representation is wrong, in folklore when the gods churned the cosmic ocean for elixir of immortality, the world ending poison was also released, then shiva(the actual one) stepped forward and drank all the poison, so shiva wanting to destroy humanity is really bad from a religious perspective 😅, but still if you are making anime on God's, then you do nerf them a lot to match the story line
Shiva in the show to me really seemed the type in the show to only want Ragnarok so he could fight powerful opponents rather than actually destroying humanity, as later on in the show he is remarking how amazing humanity is.@@AbhishekBhatnagar-qy4xu

Fits well in my opinion, considering that remembering his reasons for fighting is his whole character arc anyway

Lmao they literally created Shiva from Hinduism. He does a dance when he is super angry which is called Tandava. This ost is good perfectly captures the Indian theme behind it.

This season did such a good job making the character ost match with the character. Shiva soundtrack was made to match his dance from mythology, Jack the ripper had a phantom of the opera like theme song that represented the evil inside of him. They did a really good job making the theme songs match there character.

nowadays he become my favorite. the best OST and the best things in this show.
You know, in season 1, I didn't really care for Shiva but I have serious respect for Shiva,s character in season 2. Shiva and Hercules both had the courage to put their own lives on the line to increase their power, but I respect Shiva more than Hercules due to the fact that with Shiva, it was more or less a dice roll, a single chance to get it right.
Its just sad how bad the show is quality wise...like the music is alright but the animations are...not good and scenes lack so much impact the manga had...

this is my favorite OST, as soon as I heard it for the first time I immediately thought what a beautiful and epic OST
One of my favorite themes from the anime. Just finished season 2 last week and this song fit perfectly in during the part of the fight where Shiva and Raiden were pummeling each other using their full power. It really got my anxiety up as it seemed as though Shivas attacks got faster and faster with the music with each kick he used while in his super God mode. Literally on the edge of my seat..in my mind I figured one of them was gonna just fall over dead from over using their ultimate powers or someone was gonna land one blow that was gonna break through their guard and end the fight. I am 40 years old and no anime fight since SS Goku vs Frieza put me on the edge of my seat like this. I really enjoy this anime. I really hope that we do nkt have to wait another year or more for season 3 to premiere.

Why do I hear boss music?
Double posting after a dozen listens. I realize this is SUPER close. I realized what's missing is that the chanting doesn't really change. In RoR, it picks up faster as a sort of breakdown. Like, their singing seems to keep pace with the sitar almost at one point.
If you could make that tweak THEN this would be a faithful recreation. Still probably the best put there regardless though!
I think I can even explain this in music math terms. The singing currently hits on every 8th note-ish I think? By the time Shiva gets going, their chanting probably hits every 4th note....or 16th? I wasn't the best music math person ever. @_@ It speeds up, is what I'm taking too long to say!

I'll say this about hindu folk, they're very biased, but they don't seem to mind the direction of the anime and recognize it as entertainment. I originally saw this story as something that was going to offend someone because of their beliefs, but it's been good so far. We've kept the super sensitive fairies away. Also awesome cover.

I really dont like Record of Ragnarok versions of the characters. Even Shiva is extremely flat surfaced. Why is he purple when he is always portrayed as blue. ESPECIALLY THE BLUE THROAT. But okay. Same problem with his clothing. Thats the blandest dhoti ive ever seen. Sure, hes there to battle but atleast have him wear something that even resembles tiger skin. What is that headband even ? Where is his flowing long dreadlocks that can put Tarzan to shame ? Most importantly......where the crack is his trident ffs ? You telling me the primordial God of entropy of the hindu myths doesnt fight with his signature trident ?
