Based on comments KP has replied to: you should do this 1-3 days a week, 2-6 sets for for 3-8 reps, with plenty of rest in between sets. Numbers and amount of drills depend on tolerance, time, and space.
I’m 32 yrs old and I tried doing this. Holy crap! It looks so easy on video but I was catching my breath after finishing the first drill. These drills are easy to follow and would really get your heart rate up! Appreciate you coach!
Love these drills. I'm going to experiment doing some of them as speed and CoD drills instead of conditioning drills, so long rest intervals in between those sets
Thanks how much conditioning, means how many repitition of these Drills needed.... For complete basketball Match.... Kindly suggest or make another video 🙏❤️🙏
Depending on the drill. You can do anywhere between 1-5 repetition. The reason why it’s low is because the each drill consists of a series of moves that total to 1 rep. It is a conditioning drill so do as many reps as you prefer that allows you to keep good form/technique good but also pushes you past your capacity.
it depends on your tolerance level, and resting in between time to catch your breath and do it until you are comfortable going for longer duration without being winded. start off with a couple sets and see how your body responds then go from there. he mentioned that in the comments below, but from personal experience, if you sprint full out and stop on a dime and not be out of breath that means your body is getting used to conditioning.
Thanks for the video coach, Appericiate it. Would you recommend this to any age group ? I used to play overseas but now I’m getting close to my 30 and haven’t played basketball for a very long time due to personal reasons, can I get back in shape with this drill ? Or that might be little bit harsh for me to start with after a long time ?
Yes this can help. If you feel that some of the drills are too difficult, you can slow it down or maybe increase the rest period. You can also just choose 1-2 drills in the beginning until you’ve built up enough tolerance then you start to add more every week.
My coach make us do a lot of 17s after practice. During these I can barely pick up my feet to run them I get so tired I just wanna fall over. Will this work for that our should I do something else
2x a week is enough usually mid and last day of the week. Rest should be whatever you need without breaking down in technique. I would only do this 1x as soon as you start back with practice because you're already getting enough conditioning in practice with all the suicides your coach is making you do lol.
Wow, this is really good. Better than I expected. You mentioned that running distance has its place in basketball conditioning training. I'm curious what you recommend as a maximum? Like, how many runs per week is too much and what distance is too long. I like running because it is an easy way to stay in shape but don't want to lose my quickness.
hey coach! how often should we be conditioning? I'm doing it 2 days a week with sprints as a warm-up, and bodyweight training/skills training 5 days a week
I would be careful because too much conditioning will affect your game on the court. If you do too much, you will have less energy and lack explosiveness. Especially if you're doing skill training/scrimmages. I would say do this near the end of the week, assuming you have the weekend off.
Ah ill try this on Tuesday im not a fan of jogging or running type of cardio so this looks explosive and fun even without the ball. Do you think i can do this on MWF or that would be too much? because i rest T,TH and weekends. But i do weight lifting during my rest day but no heavy lifting because my goal is just to be fit not compete in any sports. Also Monday is our schedule for friendly pickup games i'll probably just doing this on W,F.

It all depends on each drill. Some drills after you do it for 1 rep, you need a couple of minutes before doing it again. so 2-3 sets for each, and make sure you're getting each side.
If I'm going to condition basketball players, then I'm going to incorporate their conditioning into their skill-building and skill-maintenance drills. So if I make them run around the court for conditioning, I'm gonna put a ball in their hands so they can work on their ball handling skills at the same time. Or they're gonna condition by repeatedly running fast breaks down the court. More bang for the buck.

You can run this 2x per week but adjust reps based on your conditioning level. It's better to start easy then progress to adding more every week.
You need an app! Is there an app?
From Philippines

Thanks guru.
Always welcome
Anyone know how often, how many reps, how long, etc to do this stuff? Also, how many of these until you are in good basketball condition?
I have the same question

It depends how difficult your skills session was. I recommend doing these on their own.

1-3 days a week 💪🏾

@@coachkp the other five days, I don't have any scrimmages. the skills training is only about 90 minutes and the bodyweight stuff is about an hour
@@coachkp thanks for the workouts tho!!
Coach is it okay if I do this workout 3 times a week?
It might be better twice a week. If you’re doing strength training, and on court skill work.

Are these drills in a circuit, or can we do reps the same drill from drill 1 to drill 5
Best finish one drill then move on. And increasing and decreasing rest time can help play a role in conditioning
