You are fucking lifesaver. Just upgraded my HC260 with spiral cutter head. Took 3 hours but without your video it would be at least 3 days. Thanks for that ❤
Finally bought and installed a spiral head cutter for my HC260C. This video was invaluable - super helpful. What a difference! fantastic even on knarly pine, superb finish... Thank you for the details on how to do this 🙂
Thank you. I just bought one exactly the same but in another color from a Danish brand. I am not upgrading mine but just fixing it up. The video helped a lot, thanks :)
Really helpful/informative video - thank you. I am in the process of considering a spiral cutter upgrade for my Metabo HC260c (which is basically the same unit) - seeing the process of removing and installing the new cutter head gives great confidence. I just need to save up $$!
I will try same process for my Luna Proofy. Most likely it will be the same part as you. Happy to see they know have Clas Ohlsons as a brand on their site 😅
@@Traudn I have not tested yet. Had other problems with spare parts (cutter belt, hight leveling chain). I got a scrap machine from Luna and have been picking parts moving. Has taken some time from everything. Maybe in future.
Hi. To be honest I never really used it much with the original cutterblock before I swapped it, so I don’t really know the noise level of the original set up. But I did test it after I swapped with a free app on my phone and running that 6” oak was just over 90db measured about 1meter away. It was about 85db running idle. I read another user reporting about the same db when ideling, and somewhere around 105-110 when cutting with the original head. I guess various factors like poor adjustments and dull blades will affect the noise level too. Would be fun to hear what you measure your machine to be.

Hi, did you notice a significant reduction in noise level after the upgrade or was it about the same as before? Many thanks.
