    Ten years later this still works! Maybe because Mobius and Reaper are both brilliantly written pieces of software with maximum flexibility in mind? Thanks for this tutorial, much appreciated.

    Thank you so much! I was looking at the a the Mobius documentation and was about to give up. This is the only straightforward video about this subject on youtube. I'm now up and running with the basic functions of the looper, and I can take my time delving into the depths of this software.

      Hi, I am happy to hear that, maybe I will redo the video at some point to improve the quality... I could then also check out, if there have been any major updates to Mobius...

    Thank you so much! Mobius is still free and much more capable than other software loopers, and since the Mobius forum is down, this video is a life saver!

    Hi Andrew,
    happy to help. I actually switched from Reaper to Ableton when it comes to looping, again using the FCB1010 to control Live. Gives me more options, cause I can also use synths or drum machines and the launchpad for visual feedback :). On the other hand, you're losing features like overdubbing. But then again, with 8 channels I barely ever used overdubbing, I just recorded onto the next channel ;).
    I'm currently thinking about new tutorials, although I'm not sure

      hey man when switching from reaper to live, how do you do the step where you drag and drop mobuis track onto each of the 8 tracks?

      Also, do you know if Mobius can record loops of midi *notes* to send out to other VSTi plugins? I'd like to mix and match audio with midi, if possible.

    It starts record from 2nd beat.
    I set it up as in the video. Which setting is responsible for this? I didn't find an answer in the manual, thank you.

    Hi Endever42, Great tutorial!! I was looking for a looper for live and recording.. I have looked into some of the pedals on the market but I wanted the ability for my live to be the same as studio and easily to record. I had heard of Mobius working with Reaper I also have Reason and just watched a rack for reason called Repeat. I do want something simple but reliable for live shows. couple questions How is the latency on this with the 8 loops? I wanted to add a drum machine to this separate stereo tracks but midi and would want it to be the master over the looper but not reaper while in recording. are you satisfied with your foot controller? I have heard some have had issues in setting it up? Some Ive read have gone to the Kieth McMilien.. Just wondering your thought on the 2. Thanks Glad to have seen this video.

    how to use multiple vst instruments per track? I tried different things but it does not work.

    • @Endever42
      @Endever42  4 роки тому +1

      I am not sure, why you want to do that? But anyhow, in the FX window from Reaper, there is a Button labeled "2 in 2 out". If you click on it, you can add additional channels to the track and route the audio to those channels (creating a multi channel track). That way, multiple VST instruments can be on the same track and the audio is still seperate.

      Endever42 Thank you for your reply, now I see that I have worded my question wrong. I meant, how it was possible to have a different vst instrument on each track. I have figured it out for now with mobius and ableton live. Now trying some things out with the mobius looper.

    Great video!
    Is it possible to route the output of a VST into Mobius? That way, a MIDI VST can be part of the looped material

    • @Endever42
      @Endever42  3 роки тому

      I do not see, why not... you can route audio pretty much everywhere in Reaper. Did you solve this already?

    Okay my friend I followed this tutorial very carefully and I managed to get it to work and I can now record live loops in Reaper YAY!! However I am wondering about the general setup, if you do it this way how can you load up different .vsts in different channels/tracks so you can switch between them? Right now unless I have something configured wrong everything goes thru that first channel/track and that is where you add your .vst sounds. Does this mean with this setup that I must change the ,vst in that track whenever I want to change sounds? Is there another way to add additional sounds on different tracks so I can record say with a drum on one, a keyboard synth on another, and say a mic on yet another? Perhaps this is a stupid question but it is beyond me right now. Thanks for making this tutorial I had no idea where to begin with this mobius. It does seem to work quite well however....

    Hi Endeaver42. Nice Tutorial! Noticed that you are using Ableton with Mobius now as you mentioned in your comment below. can you still get the same set up with the 8 tracks as you show here in this tutorial inside ableton? I have set it up but when I switch tracks in Mobius it is not corresponding to the matcing track inside Ableton? not sure what I'm doing wrong. I would really appreciate it if you could clarify. Best, H.

      If FL supports VST / AU, then I don't see, why not... The routing setup would be different I guess, but besides that, it should work.

    Pre sorry, I know English is bad, I use a translator and I am sure that the answer to my question is quite simple, but I can not find the answer in any way. How to make it down a single time? (Type I pressed the button to rec, but that the recording process began with the start square and similar to a gun and ended at the end of a square (a square like 8 cycles)) If someone knows something or some infu (after all in the English language) Thank you
