A couple weeks ago, a friend and I found a strange oversight with the Yellow Devil on Wily's Castle. As we all know, the Yellow Devil will shoot his body parts across the stage. Out of these body parts, three will move directly along the ground. The second one out of these three does not have a hitbox. I tested this in training room, with a variety of characters. The first blob that travels along the ground has a hitbox, and so does the third one. The second one does not. This was not some sort of z axis shenanigans, it went straight through my character. Try it yourself with a crouching Pichu, who's so small that the blob is larger than Pichu, and it goes right through him.
When pocketed, power wave will change when used in the air, just like terry’s. Even if the air version is pocketed, it will become the ground version when re-used
thats because power wave becomes round wave any time it reaches the air, even if the ground version hits the edge of a platform or stage. it probably automatically changes.
Useless fact: There is another, more simple, way to soft lock your switch. Make a Time Ruleset with infinite time, and turn pausing off. And the. Have two CPU’s duke it out, and essentially, your switch is soft locked.

If a player has a high enough percent, they won’t get invincibility from a shield break. In the tips, it says it’s to speed up gameplay and increase tension.
In sudden death, there's no invincibility, but in regular matches it gets shortened by a lot, I don't think while in the air you lose it when in regular match, only until you hit the ground
The positions of the ads are not random, and placed by the creator (or channel manager). Not all ad positions will play; and a creator can carelessly "randomise" the placement, but it will be the same position forever until it's changed.

for the lever softlock, you could probably get them out with a frame perfect Zelda FS, or one where the character charges forward for the wind one, a cutscene FS (ridley, k. rool, etc) will remove you from shield break I think
for the lever cannon one, final smashes such as Clouds stop the cannon from being active if you're outside of it, if you're inside the cannon it doesn't fire until the final smash ends

Have the ice climbers roll right, towards the ledge, until when they roll, they stop at the ledge. Then, have them roll twice to the left. Have G&W drop down to the platform above the spring. Have him walk to the right of that platform until he starts leaning off it. G&W needs to jump twice, without moving. He will be positioned behind the ice climbers. Activate the final smash. The clip featuring the bunny hood effect reminds me of all those kills I got using Shulk during Smash 4. Monado arts were able to be deactivated using buffering during a grab, and one of the best setups was the ''Monado Purge'' which involved Shulk buffer deactivating Jump art and using Up throw to get extra height/speed to follow up with a Upair.
Crouch cancelling is really useful for custom stages which use bumpers as a hazard as it completely cancels the knockback of them making it so you only flinch.
Can you be hit by a wind box by being held by Metroid or mimiku? Does swirlix stack with witch time or the timer? If incinaroar gets frozen( with shadow or skull kid) will he and his opponent get stuck in his side b until it’s over? Kirby can absorb a huge projectile and spit it out using the a button, so can he absorb really huge projectiles like Lucario’s aura sphere?
If you put on a shaymin spirit that has been trained in the lightweight dojo, and equip it with 3 lightweight spirits, then it will give you the highest jump height in the game. One of the most polarizing short hop vs full hop scaling is when you are cargo throwing with Donkey Kong. Full hops seem to have a set jump height no matter what spirits you have, and even bunny ears don't do anything, but short hop sends you to the upper blast zone where you can kill with cargo up throw at 0%.
Luigi’s grab works without moving when in training mode, but if you slow down the game it won’t connect anymore, so if you’re learning grab combos you have to be at full speed or move forward first
I have a Smash fact; in a normal battle if you get killed by either Corrin's water projectile, Zero Suit Samus' down smash or Ramuh's electrified platforms on the Midgar stage you'll get stunned for a second and then launched off-screen. However for some reason if that happens on the very final blow of the match you'll simply get launched without even going through the stun animation.

As someone who has looked into the files of Smash games before, I think I can answer why Kirby's Copy Ability disappears in Squad Strike. While some of Kirby's Copy Ability data is stored in his own character files (the hat, models related to the move, etc.), at least some of it is also stored in the files of the character he is copying (for example, the voice clips used during a Copy Ability). That means while he is copying his opponent and using his borrowed neutral special, he is essentially reading from the opponent's files for a portion of the move data. Now, we get to why this is relevant. When a character is KO'd in Squad Strike, they are unloaded from memory to make way for the next character in the queue. That means that the game cannot read all of the files necessary for Kirby's Copy Ability to function. In order to presumably prevent the game from crashing, the game decides to remove the Copy Ability. Makes sense, right? This knowledge is based on what I have gleaned from looking at the files of Smash 4; I am assuming that Ultimate works in a similar manner (which I think is a fair assumption). In Smash 4, a similar phenomenon can occur when you copy an opponent's ability in All-Star Mode, and I think the same thing is happening with Squad Strike. Hope this helps!
For the kirby copy abiity thing, I assume it has something to do with how his copy works. In a doubles match, when a character loses their last stock the icon of the player is still there, but in SS, when a stock is lost that character is no longer "in the game" similar thing with his projectiles when they are thrown/held in Isabelle's/Villagers pocket, he loses his ability to make those so they "no longer exist" in the game. it's all pretty interesting.
Apparently if you teach a spirit with the equipment spirit style and then give that spirit to pichu pichu will deal more damage to himself I think the reason for this is that the equipment style raises healing amount which means self damage acts as anti healing
The metroid thing is actually shown on the website, so a bunch of people tested that out even during E3. So i did know about it, probably wouldn't if they didn't show it to point it out to people. I did get to play Ness, Ice Climbers and Ridley at E3 though.
For the Kirby losing his copy ability in Squad Strike, I think I have an explanation from my old Brawl modding days. I believe the reason he loses the ability here and not in something like doubles is because the game has to "unload" the character so that they can reload the next one that's being spawned. The game probably removes the copy ability because there isn't anything to really pull from now that the game basically removed the copied character from existence to make way for the new one. This also happens in World of Light when Kirby copies a fighter in the last stage (when the doppelgangers spawn on the vertical climb in the first stage; or in the final phase during the actual fight with Galeem/Darkhon) You can tell when the game "unloads" someone when the percent display at the bottom disappears. In team matches, it stays there (most likely so the game can quickly bring them back in case a share stock occurs)
Freezing the Metroid is OBVIOUS - a lot of people don’t use items that much to know these “secret” things you can do - I know what all the items do, but even a lot of casual players probably didn’t know about freezing it, very well hidden Easter egg!
You can get out of the cannon-switch softlock, just use counter. My little brother made a stage with that in it and we learned that by using counter, we could get out.

While some of Kirby's Copy Ability data is stored in his own character files (the hat, models related to the move, etc.), at least some of it is also stored in the files of the character he is copying (for example, the voice clips used during a Copy Ability). That means while he is copying his opponent and using his borrowed neutral special, he is essentially reading from the opponent's files for a portion of the move data.
Now, we get to why this is relevant. When a character is KO'd in Squad Strike, they are unloaded from memory to make way for the next character in the queue. That means that the game cannot read all of the files necessary for Kirby's Copy Ability to function. In order to presumably prevent the game from crashing, the game decides to remove the Copy Ability. Makes sense, right?
This knowledge is based on what I have gleaned from looking at the files of Smash 4; I am assuming that Ultimate works in a similar manner (which I think is a fair assumption). In Smash 4, a similar phenomenon can occur when you copy an opponent's ability in All-Star Mode, and I think the same thing is happening with Squad Strike.

For the kirby copy abiity thing, I assume it has something to do with how his copy works.
In a doubles match, when a character loses their last stock the icon of the player is still there, but in SS, when a stock is lost that character is no longer "in the game"
similar thing with his projectiles when they are thrown/held in Isabelle's/Villagers pocket, he loses his ability to make those so they "no longer exist" in the game. it's all pretty interesting.
Apparently if you teach a spirit with the equipment spirit style and then give that spirit to pichu pichu will deal more damage to himself
I think the reason for this is that the equipment style raises healing amount which means self damage acts as anti healing
The UP throw of rob is the only one that can be blown by the wind or even kill itself when the soil disappears

The metroid thing is actually shown on the website, so a bunch of people tested that out even during E3. So i did know about it, probably wouldn't if they didn't show it to point it out to people. I did get to play Ness, Ice Climbers and Ridley at E3 though.
For the Kirby losing his copy ability in Squad Strike, I think I have an explanation from my old Brawl modding days.
I believe the reason he loses the ability here and not in something like doubles is because the game has to "unload" the character so that they can reload the next one that's being spawned. The game probably removes the copy ability because there isn't anything to really pull from now that the game basically removed the copied character from existence to make way for the new one.
This also happens in World of Light when Kirby copies a fighter in the last stage (when the doppelgangers spawn on the vertical climb in the first stage; or in the final phase during the actual fight with Galeem/Darkhon)
You can tell when the game "unloads" someone when the percent display at the bottom disappears. In team matches, it stays there (most likely so the game can quickly bring them back in case a share stock occurs)
Freezing the Metroid is OBVIOUS - a lot of people don’t use items that much to know these “secret” things you can do - I know what all the items do, but even a lot of casual players probably didn’t know about freezing it, very well hidden Easter egg!

You can get out of the cannon-switch softlock, just use counter. My little brother made a stage with that in it and we learned that by using counter, we could get out.
