Hi Sir Bechoy, thank you for this topic which is very timely for my plant which is ready for propagation. I also use pots with a lot of holes for good drainage, but I always place a layer of used face mask at the bottom to prevent the soilmix from draining too.🙂

healthy plants woow what kind you used potting soil when you grow that plants?
Make sure you check the soil dahil baka may bulbs din na pwedeng ipropagate. Check the soil before discarding. They're usually at the end of the roots and and fall off when you loosen the soil

Thanks for this, Sir. Big help. I have three alocasia black velvet, and maybe because I live in Luzon, caring for them had been extra difficult for me. They are growing slowly, especially those two that I bought as juvenile. I worried when the big one flowered. I thought it will not grow new leaves anymore but I am happy that it kept growing new leaves after the flower had wilted, and also it sent out new shoots. i also think that they became happier when I put them out to enjoy the rain but under the shade of trees in my backyard.
