  • Captain America Brave New World is in its final set of reshoots and Disney have plenty riding on the movie. Disney and Marvel hope Falcon Cap can replicate Black Panther's success. But Falcon Cap is no Black Panther no matter how hard Disney, Marvel and the shill media try to will it. Anthony Mackie was awesome as Sam Wilson Falcon. But as shown in Falcon and The Winter Soldier he's got nothing good to work with in Falcon Cap. A rendition of Captain America that has been rejected multiple times. Wes talks about the latest developments for Captain America Brave New World and reminds Disney why Falcon Cap sucks. Falcon Cap is no Black Panther replacement.

Something I never understood about the Falcon/Winter Soldier show. During the blip, why does a schoolteacher with an Irish accent end up living in Estonia? Shouldn’t there be plenty of empty houses in her home country for her to squat in?

“You’ve deviated too far off the characters, you’ve deviated too far off the core principles of the universe and all that stuff…” Facts! You can’t drastically alter the aspects of characters and series fans love and expect them to be happy & keep supporting you. If I went to my local Pizza Hut and they told me, “We’re only serving veggie wraps and egg salad sandwiches now,” I’d leave and go somewhere else for lunch. I’m still baffled why the comics thought there wouldn’t be backlash to Steve Rogers suddenly becoming a Hydra agent unless they thought the lunatics on Twitter reflected what the fan base wanted. Wait, what am I saying? That is what they thought. 🤦‍♀️
“Well, in the source material…” This would only be a valid argument if they hadn’t spent the past couple of years bragging that they hadn’t read the source material and were deliberately trying to avoid both source material & fan feedback/wishes. If I didn’t know better, I’d think Sam becoming Captain America in both the MCU and the comics was sheer coincidence. That’s how little the recent MCU writers have cared about the source material. It is funny how they made the MCU John Walker as interesting and complex as the comic book version by sheer accident, though.

I’m not confident based on how they botched The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. What we were promised was a buddy comedy which would also be meaningful and explore issues such as how The Blip affected ordinary people and how racism of the past still affects the present. What we got was Sam Wilson responding to being asked about terrorists, who had committed terroristic acts as part of a terror campaign, by saying they shouldn’t be called terrorists and their victims must have done something to deserve it (He didn’t word it that way, but yeah, the way he said, “Do better,” implied he thought the person he was talking to was to blame).
I talk about the “Don’t call them terrorists” line, but that’s not even the part that gets me the most. You want to know what part of TFATWS I hate the most? I heard there was a scene in which Bucky went to see a counselor for the numerous psychological issues he had from being an unwilling assassin for so long, and the counselor actually told him something like, “Well, since you killed all those people, you must have enjoyed it and you’re a terrible person.” (Jaw drops) Excuse me!?!?!? First off, does she not know he was mind-controlled and did not choose to do any of those things!?!? Second, this could be damaging to people in real life. There are numerous people in real life who need counseling, but are afraid to go because they think they won’t be believed, they’ll be judged, they’ll be blamed for being abused, they’ll be belittled and mocked, they’ll be called no better than their abusers, etc. With the mental health crisis as bad as it is, the last thing we need is a show with a character being treated like vile trash by the therapist he chose to trust.
I don’t mind having Sam or Bucky serving as Cap because it offers the chance to examine topics such as stepping up to fill a role and honoring a legacy. It has to be well done, though. A studio isn’t obligated to get my money. We’ll see if this and Thunderbolts are any good.

All the reshoots probably aren't the results of content. The reshoots are orchestrated to route money in some way to improve the write-off. They are probably scrambling with the actor and tech unions, trying to make sure everyone is covered financially before they bury the movie on Netflix.
As for the Hawkeye series, l noticed that it was photographed in a way that often characters are not shown while they were speaking. This makes it easier to dub and play for overseas audiences. This gives us a second-rate product. They don't care about us.

I mean they gave all the good black actors terrible roles. Idris Elba was god damn Heimdall instead of Warmachine, like why would you cast Don Cheadle as war machine? the guy even when he is trying to be fit looks like a cancer patient, Anthony Mackey looks like a chihuahua and they casted him in the lead role of the whole thing. Yet they had Michael B Jordan in a one off role.
Had they been smarter with their casting and either got Jamie Foxx,Idris or Michael B in good roles it would be a different thing, but instead you got this guys. I mean can you still believe Jamie Foxx was casted as god damn Electro? a pointless raceswap and a waste of an amazing actor add Chiwetel to that list beng casted as Mordo of all characters he could have been a great cast for Black Panther, i like Chadwick but he looked far to young for Black Panther in my eyes, i always felt like like Black Panther looks more mature.

If Disney had been thinking ahead they could have planned around the eventual departure of their core actors/heroes. They didn't. What does a world without Iron Man, Cap, Thor and the rest look like? Do people feel like they still have protectors or do they not have the confidence in the new guys and hence the first film is them earning and reaffirming that trust and faith. Their focus on replacing iconic characters, (Kate Bishop, Ironheart, etc.), and lack of a planned storyline are major problems . They are adding a female Silver Surfer, (which was canon for about 2 seconds and didn't do well). Captain Marvel was a man for many years. They drove away their main customer base and have the gall to act surprised. We love the iconic characters and want good stories where we aren't being lectured at. I guess we will sit back and watch them continue to destroy themselves. Their unwavering focus on destroying their company is incredible.

People keep saying that in Phase 1, 2, 3 there were always bad movies. And sure, but that was the beginning. You can't treat an existing project like its new, I am afraid that steam has run out. Just as Captain Marvel movie did extremely well because it released a year after IW, it only did so because of the hype. If superhero movies continue to bomb, then we may not even get to the reboot.
And everything now affects everything else, if F4 in 2025 bombs, it'll affect Superman, and vice versa.
But a thing I'll never understand is why focus on these boring movie ideas. We're 2 years away from "Kang Dynasty" if it's even gonna be called that, but Avengers 5 nonetheless, and then it'll be 7 years since Endgame with nothing to show for it. We had a teaser in Far From Home about a Skrull invasion, of course that led to that god awful show and Nick Fury fing an alien. Maybe that should have been the focus instead of random movies like Shang Chi or Thunderbolts or Cap 4, Wakanda Forever, Antman3. And people talk about Doom or this or that, but even Kang supposedly a villain that made an appearance as early as 2021 in Loki is not built up, it's just so random. I don't know who asked for these movies.
And well movies cost a gazillion times more to make than a comic, if a comic fails, whatever it's a calculated risk, if movies that cost 200-400mil to make bomb constantly then the MCU is done for.

    4. Slyde (Jalome Beecher, more of an anti-hero)
    5. The Rocket Racer (Robert "Robbie" Farrell)

    7. Deathlok (Michael Collins)
    8. Rage (Elvin Halliday)
    9. Hammer (cyborg from the Six Pack)

If they can't seem to figure out how to continue with Sam Wilson, James Rhodes, the Black Panther and Blade, then these ten characters, none of which are even mutants, just superhumans and humans, can be used to full effect without any problems. It reeks of "Let's let the poor kids play". I would've given the thing a chance, if Falcon, Sam Wilson, was just carrying on, after his friend passed. He was good, as himself, in Winter Soldier, Ultron, and Civil War. Just push that guy. No? We just get the knockoff? Great.
And before the "self hater" group thinks they found one, no. I wasn't into white to white swaps, either. I think Dick Grayson, OG Robin/Nightwing has been a good character, in his own right, overall. When they said he's the new Batman, I was out. He'll never be Bruce. But that's okay. Be Nightwing. I don't want to hear that symbol nonsense. Batman is a symbol, an institution, but having Nightwing cosplaying as Batman, just ticked me off. Just be yourself. No, he's not Batman. Nobody can follow that. Terry was a different circumstance. The brief time they tried Ben Reilly, Bucky, Jon Kent, Mon El, Artemis, Roy Harper as Red Arrow, Donna and Hippolyta as Wonder Woman, even robots, like Rodimus Prime. They couldn't get over, in large part, because their whole identity, was trying to copy a big name, from before. It's lazy, trying to earn clout, from the main event star. "But look, guys, we changed the color scheme, a bit!".
It'll bomb, they'll call everyone racist, even those of us who should "feel seen", rinse and repeat.

Every replacement story done with Steve Rogers (and the one done in the 1980's where he became the The Captain, John Walker became Captain America, and the Red Skull was behind it all) always reaffirms that not just anyone can be Captain America. If you do Falcon Cap to show that then you've got a good story. But otherwise it's not going to work. We have all said it before. Black Panther is his own character....Falcon Cap is a amalgamation that doesn't work. I still want to know how you justify additional millions to budget without knowing how much more revenue it will bring in? It sounds like a break even proposition even if it would do well at the theatres. And let me be clear on something else...the value of Captain America has nothing to do with his skin color. That is part of the fallacy of trying to replace Black Panther with Falcon Cap. Everyone...regardless of their genetic origin...respects and sees Steve Rogers as the embodiment of what America represents. They don't give a shit about skin color...only the people in Hollywood who can't understand what a hero is and why people identify with said character think skin color plays a role. So go ahead and try cause you are only going to fail because you don't understand the subject matter to begin with. WTF20.

I'm sorry, let's just be real: Anthony Mackie has all the charisma of an old dirty dish rag. He doesn't hold a candle next to Chadwick Boseman. They should have kept him in his lane as second banana instead of trying so hard to make him a thing.
