That battery is nice. The sound is actually what I like. Although I appreciate using a few different sounding keyboards. I like to switch them out at work every few weeks now. Daily driving various keyboards for weeks at time for work has really made me love keyboards more. VIA is cool but I don't use it much. I'd prefer it just in case as most software is sketchy to me. I've grown to start wanting customizable now after getting a few keyboards. I want to open them up. Cheaper ones more so as they need to be customized. I haven't learned the difference between stabilizers yet.
i hope that they make the keyboard more interesting with something like a weight or just make a separation in between the bottom case and top case to have a less boring side profile or something like the gold accent they had in their first version
I have the first one and at least looks wise I'm kinda bummed they took out the cutouts, now it looks really generic. Also tried using the 2.4ghz wireless adapter and it's absolutely useless. I'm about 3 meters from my computer and it doesn't work. Hit a key and watch it just get stuck spamming that letter constantly.
Does this have per key RGB adjustment using VIA software or only by using Monsgeek Driver? (I have Monsgeek M1 V1 and you can't adjust per key RGB using VIA unfortunately)
@@semiprotech thanks, VIA is usually hailed as the best thing since sliced bread yet having such a simple thing as having only WASD keys light up it can't do while proprietary software can 🙃
Idk what exactly they did to this board but every time I listen to it I just cant get over the idea that it seems to sound worse than its predecessor the V3. In general I feel like Monsgeek lost its bang for the buck position over the last year. At least in the European market where its not really cheap. The last straw was that there are barely ISO versions available for all those prebuilts from this year. But with the Bridge75 ISO version for a good bit less money while being arguably the better sounding and maybe also higher quality (no idea but from looking at both Id say maybe yes?) a monsgeek got somewhat hard to justify
@@brandenlynn2514 The Lemokey P1 is closer in price. Both it and the Q1 Max (which are very similar to each other) are reasonable comparisons to the Monsgeek in terms of features, layout and style. The Q2 Max @lordslugger mentioned is a different layout and not really a direct comparison.
the prebuilt m1v5 via rapid is my daily driver. has all the features i need, via, modability, KNOB, and i love the pop of the piano pros.
Most well made keyboard reviews on youtube IMHO, subbed.
Thank you!
How in the does this video have less than 1 thousand views? This is the most polished, well-made video I've seen in a while! Keep up the great work!
I had been waiting for this review for around 2 months
This version improved a lot compare to my M1W 1st generation.
Thanks very much for your thorough and helpful review!

How hard are you pressing that you feel the keyboard sink on the left side? Mine is perfectly fine while typing.
it's only with the foam removed that it feels uneven - just average typing force has a lot of flex on the left side without the bottom foam
I have this keyboard and do not have this volume ghosting bug
Good to know! Glad yours doesn't have that issue.
How would you say this keyboard is compared to the lemokey p1 pro given the similar price point?
Great review. Have two M2 v1 and would buy a M2 v5 in a minute if they would make it. Have a lot of keyboards and definitely my favorite

i have question about the battery replacement, can we replace 2 4000mah battery on this keyboard with others 606090 battery on the online market?

it is the same with V5, the backlight controls in VIA do not include per-key control

welp its sad that it has the volume ghosting issue

this or the keychron q2 max?
The closer comparison would be to the Q1 Max. They're both the same kind of layout.
I would disagree the closest comparison would be the lemokey p1 pro as the price point is actually the same

Nice informative video but please, it's foam and not foams...
