I'm sure someone has already told you this but this song more than any other on their at home EP is ASTONISHING TO ME! They harmonized that perfeCtly without even being able to hear each other. They recorded separately and filmed the music video separately. Then the engineer and editor put together a perfect song and video. This is my favorite for sure!!
I loved this song when I heard it on the soundtrack for You’ve Got Mail. I have heard it scores of times, but I never really got the words and meaning until PTX did this one. Thanks for a great reaction !
DO NOT MISS the PTX cover of Making Christmas from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Halloween and Christmas in one song. And a fantastic video. It's so cute when PTX tries to be evil.
What I love so much about Pentatonix is how they lend they beautiful voices and talent to service the song. To me, they are all immeasurably gifted and hard working. They listen to each other to achieve their wonderful blend. No egos. AND I absolutely love their versatility in musical style, from pop, hip hop, rap, soul, jazz, classic rock, Kpop, Christmas, classical, broadway... they know their stuff. Enjoy the ride. 🤗
The original came out in '95 and I'm about a year younger than you, so I LOVE this cover because I was so obsessed with the original as a kid, so I am with you on the nostalgia lol. It's so fun though, right?? And they did a beautiful job!!
Also welcome to ptx. I've been helping my best friend move the past few weeks and haven't been able to watch many reaction videos. I'll watch your others soon. I can tell from this one how much you love PTX.
Nothing like music bringing some nostalgia. They really did a great job with this...but then again, it's PTX. Thanks for another great reaction. Looking forward to the next one. 😊
Great reaction! Mitch was the one who loves the song & wanted to honor Dolores O'Riordan who passed away. I too recommend Making Christmas which is PTX’s take on The Nightmare Before Christmas. The costumes & makeup & editing! Halloween feels for sure! There’s also a Behind the Scenes video if you wanted to react to both.
Thanks for that info Karen Campos.I suspected it was Mitch! He has great taste in music. It’s a lovely tribute to the late Dolores O’Riordan who is still sorely missed here in Ireland.
I enjoyed your reaction. I would like to see your reaction of Shallow or perfect. Another good one is Radioactive. Keep the Ptx coming. We Pentaholics will be right there with you. :D
Thanks 😊 you should react to 1.evolution of Rihanna and Ariana 2.Sweater Weather 3.Havana 4.New Rules x are you that somebody 5.Attention, 6.Come along 7.Can you feel the love tonight from lion king 8. You’re a mean one Mr. Grinch (Matt’s solo)
They do have a Halloween/ Christmas cover of making Christmas from the nightmare before Christmas. It would be a good way to start getting into holiday music. Plus remember once October comes around it’s officially Christmas for pentaholics and its never too early to listen to their Christmas music.
I’m just catching up with your reactions after subscribing! I love the fact that you obviously love these guys as much as we do!. Love your reactions!..keep em coming. 😊
When Kevin sings (leaving beatboxing for a bit) they can build really good harmonies... This cover is absolute butter to the ears, and as you said paying tribute to the original; IMO this one more emotional and overwhelming Other interesting songs with the five of them singing are "imagine", "Run to you" (you've already reacted to "Mad World" and "When the party's over") If you like bass voices please check "Never Enough" from Citizen Queen... you'll be surprised See you in the next one
@@rocksolidreactions3901 One more with Kevin completing the five-part harmony is another original written by Kevin and their former bass Avi Kaplan, who left in 2017, called 'Run to You'.
@@rocksolidreactions3901 Also, on a side note, as a new sub I'm not sure if anyone already mentioned it or not. A couple of suggestions for avoiding blocks. First, pause away, most of us have heard the songs numerous times before and are here to enjoy your journey of discovery. Just remember that before restarting, rewind 10 seconds to avoid missing something. Second, if you have the capability to add a watermark of some sort over the video inset during the editing. It also seems to be helping others, even when they don't pause much.
"Now what you actually came to see". Well sure. But what I came to hear is your voice. The depth of it is just so soothing. And there are days as things are when I need soothing and sometimes CBD oil just isn't enough. I have a phone book handy you can read if you run out of things to say. Or you could read out the comments over the display you put up because of blocking. Oh and btw, I actually enjoy your reactions.
We love that you love them as much as we do - We DO actually watch and enjoy other music as well though - so pretty much whatever you want to react to we're probably going to be there ! (you can't actually get rid of us Pentaholics once you meet us 😉)
Another great reaction, thank you - I saw this posted a few days ago and was saddened when I saw it was blocked. Happy you gave it another shot. There are so many stunning song requests already in the comments so I'll leave you to chose (although I'd love to see you react to Shallow). As said by others, looking forward to the next one :)
Okay so... I kept seeing your reactions coming up when I was searching for Pentatonix reactions "my daily routine" and I don't know why but I didn't click on them. I can't say why. But I started watching this one first and instantly got a good vibe from you. You are not at all what I was expecting. I love how knowledgeable you are and your timings are near on perfect. With the a mouth you talk and your pauses are frequent enough as to show that you're paying attention without them becoming annoying. So before you even started playing the video I went onto your channel and have watched every video in chronological order. Very nice set up with great quality video and audio. You shouldn't be surprised at the numbers as you seem like a genuinely good guy so I'm sure your subscriber count will continue to climb. I for one have subscribed as I look forward to seeing which other videos you will react to.
The background colours at the end (kind of turquoise/blue/greens) were a nod to the original Cranberries music vid - PTX always try to do something as an homage to the original without actually just mimicking it. This was from their Home EP which was the first one done whilst they were in quarantine....so happy to be producing music but not quite together yet.
Here are my favorites by Pentatonix: Carol of the Bells (Christmas) (14 November 2012) Daft Punk Medley (4 November 2013 Grammy winner) Mary, Did You Know? (Christmas) (11 November 2014) Hallelujah (Christmas) (21 October 2016) Bohemian Rhapsody (7 April 2017) Matt replaces Avi as bass (22 June 2017) Havana (23 February 2018) The Sound of Silence (15 February 2019) Can you feel the love tonight? (23 August 2019) Blinding Lights (1 July 2020) Dreams (22 July 2020) TYTY ..
So much more PTX to do, but you need to try a couple of other a capella groups with amazing music. Try Home Free's covers of End of the Road or Helplessly Hoping. Try Citizen Queen's covers of Never Enough or No Tears Left to Cry. Try VoicePlay's covers of Warriors and I Can't Help Falling in Love. Try AcaPop Kids' Bohemian Rhapsody/Somebody to Love. Try Voctave's Disney Princess Medley.
Not sure if anyone has suggested this or if you have already heard it, but you should check out some of Avi's solo work. I recommend "Change on the Rise", "I'll Get By", and "It Knows Me", just to get you started.
Try an intermittent blur. I think that resets the timer. For example by blur i mean out of focus for like one second and then focus normally for maybe 20 seconds and then blur it for one second. If you really want to nail it try to blur it constantly to confirm the out of focus technique is working. Then try 5 seconds on and five seconds clear. Go from there, shortening the blur duration. Then once your blur duration is minimized, begin experimenting with blur interval to see how long you can go before another blur is required. I saw a reactor maintain the video in an out of focus throughout and he didn't need to pause it at all. ..
I adore PTX and have really enjoyed your reactions. My absolute favorite artist is Frank Turner. He is a singer/songwriter from England. His lyrics are always amazing. He performs both solo and with his band The Sleeping Souls. Could you please react to this solo performance of Be More Kind. This song was the title song from an album released about 4 years ago. This song remains a song that I think everyone should hear and take the lyrics to heart. Here is a link to the video. Thanks ua-cam.com/video/d_nbdq2ckOw/v-deo.html
At least you're putting some humor into your block-prevention pauses! REAL Pentaholics understand what you're having to do. Those people who are complaining that you're stopping and talking too much (or whatever) just don't get it and they are NOT speaking for Pentaholics.
If you would like to venture into another great artist, you might look into Angelina Jordan. Her live performance of I Put a Spell On You would be a good place to start.😊
You can see the love and pride in your eyes..! It’s so beautiful to see your reaction in this video🤗
Thanks you so much Franka, I really appreciate that!
Thank you, too! We Pentaholics love to watch someone discover and enjoy PTX as much as we do!
Goodness, flashback to my early high school days! And Mitch on the bridge! **swoon**
I love watching your reactions, you just truly feel the music and I love it.!
Who wouldn't be happy singing this song?
This PTX cover is incredibly beautiful. Thanks for reacting.

Indeed he does - I also love Renegade - just Kevin and Beyonce (his cello) , Hauntingly beautiful and I believe, written by Kevin.

PTX Making Christmas has kind of a Halloween feel and also Aha live at Star Vista.
